I wouldn’t replace it as Stearic acid works better as a Co-emulsifier with the emulsifying wax. So you could replace the Cetyl alcohol with Stearic or add it in addition.
If you don’t want an emulsifier scrub, you can just make an oil based one.

Hi, no there is no substitute for Lumorol I'm afraid, it's a unique ingredient. I'm sure they will restock, they just couldn't have anticipated demand as they didn't know we were doing videos with it.

im new at this can you please tell me some of the best oils to use for this and what oils to avoid and what preservative to use if any if intending to sell

Most oils will be fine, but i'd avoid more expensive ones since it's a wash-off product. Phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin is a good preservative for this sort of thing. All my videos have a blog post and downloadable PDF available on my Patreon linked in the description box if useful to you.

It will firm up a bit, but not too much. Depends a lot on temperature and how much sugar you use too.
