- What kind of madness is this!? I'm back in the USA with my GT Black Series for a run down to Key West before taking in the craziness of South Beach. It's the final part of the tour, and we're kicking off with things that only happen here in Miami...
After the most incredible of adventures so far, my car has covered 10,000 miles from New York to LA and back across to Miami, having been parked for the last month with CARS Shipping at their new Florida base. However, for the first day, we're heading to the Southern Most Point of the continental United States in the Florida Keys, before returning back up to South Beach, for a truly bizarre evening.
With plans to bring the GT BS' total mileage up to 18,000/19,000 miles, it must be the highest mileage customer car in the world by now, but the memories are what it's all about. Having been down to the Keys with the GT500 on two occasions in 2022, this time around the GT Black Series is making the journey including a stop at the very same checkpoint from Gumball 3000 Toronto to Miami.
However, it's back in Miami where things take the most unusual of turns... There are always crazy reactions in this iconic part of the city, but things go to a new level when it's Spring Break time. Case in point by the lady on the car ahead of us as we cruise around - that needs a video to explain.

Love how Tim always has time for his fans, either rolling the window to have a chat or reply to his fans on social media
Iâve spoken to shmee probably 3 or 4 times through social media messages, and not only does he always make time for his fans, heâs also genuinely one of the nicest people Iâve ever chatted with!
Man I really donât know how Shmee does these such long flights so regularly and also completely in a different time zone

Heâs said on podcasts that theyâre usually about a month ahead when it comes to filming. I donât think this was filmed that long ago, (he mentioned the time change which just happened this past weekend), but if they can film and be a month ahead editing, it would allow for more downtime in between

Solar beam yellow is such a beautiful color. Looks amazing in all lighting conditions (even streetlights) and that's tough to do.
With all the content Shmee puts out i dont understand how he is not at 5m+ subscribers. One of the few channels that literally covers content between multiple countries.
In regards to loose items on roadways... I speculate it's because of the large number of pickup trucks here in the us compared to Europe. I've personally seen stuff fly off the back of pickups while driving from LA to SF and another time from LA to Vegas.

Love Key West! Every November we have a poker run rally with our powerboats from Miami to Key West. Actually the Conch Republic restaurant is ground zero for our time in Key West. Some boats are making 3000hp with dual twin turbo V8âs. Thatâs 150+mph on the water!

Shmee, in case you're curious, looks that that jet you saw was a navy jet, specifically an F-5 from Naval Air Station Key West. The base down there is mainly used by the Navy for their air-to-air training, hence the presence of the F-5, which the US military only uses for training nowadays. But there are also full on active duty Naval combat squadrons stationed there as well, with their F-18E Super Hornets!
and the 'blimp' he saw was the tethered weather balloon near the base that you'll see on the flight maps if you're flying in that area.

Tim Iâd like to suggest a trip to Wisconsin again at some point. Elkhart Lake âRoad Americaâ is a track Iâd love to see you on driving in anger. David Hobbs filmed his âLaps of the godsâ at that circuit, he even stayed and opened Honda dealerships. Thereâs plenty of culture and food to experience as well as some of the best twisty country roads you can imagine. You could take a drive up to Door county along the coast of Lake Michigan, play some golf at Whistling Straights, enjoy food at music at SummerFest, I really think youâd enjoy it.

If you like jets and are up Thetford way with your Ford GT at Multimatic again, swing by RAF Lakenheath. USAF fly F35s and F15Cs from there monday to friday from about 8am to 7pm.
There's observation points, but if you stop at Barton Mills 5 ways services you'll spot them still, and probably see C130s, C5 galaxys and V22 Ospreys flying in and out of RAF Mildenhall too. I work around there a lot and occasionally deliver up Fisons Way where Multimatic is
Yes Miami is a race from light to light. I used to drive that causeway 5 days a week to work in Miami Beach. 12th and Collins.

I lived/worked for a summer on the key you crossed just before leaving on the 7-mile bridge called Sunshine Key. There is a place on the next Key call No Name Pub with the best pizza in the world, the walls are lined with dollar bills with notes on them that proclaim it as well, there must be thousands of them.

4:39 It's actually an Aerostat, it's an airborne ground surveillance balloon, and it's stationary due to being tethered, it's also unmanned.

Fun fact about the Keys. Itâs where the military does dogfighting training off the coast.
Theyâre very strict about no drones on key west and any of the other lower keys (esp. @ the Dry Tortugas) bc of this.
