    Thank you, Dr Tackett - a timely and measured rebuttal of closed-minded secularism that cannot/will not/dare not think outside a limited, narrow 'box' long enough to discover how illogical materialism actually is.

    Maybe this vast huge world would be a better place if we all did some gardening everywhere around us. I've had this in my heart even as a child. People are relying on but a few to feed the world, not only in food but in the word itself. We All must take a meal, weather it be to nourish the body or our very souls and share it with everyone. Not just one's that we know but every single person. The love of our Father/Creator/Savior has to grow, as Jesus/Yahshua made it grow. By giving of himself, he planted the seeds of the Father, so we would know his Undying love. All Glory, Honor, Praise, and Majesty be to Our Righteous Father of life. Plant those gardens and help them to grow. Blessings and Love to All . Remember that the seeds we plant weather in the ground or in everyone we meet can and will make this earth and all around us into a wondrous garden that can grow again.

    The activity called science is the effort to reveal the hidden truth of the workings of the universe. Truth is truth whether you believe in God or not. If science can prove something to be true you must hold it to be true even if does not fit in your paradigm. If you want to dispute a conclusion then you first have to study all the evidence and logic that lead to that conclusion and find the error and prove that to be be an error. If you can do all that, then you have made a contribution to science.

    When I found my faith, church leaders told me I could not consider the old universe. No church leaders could answer any technical science-based questions. Fortunately for me, God bypassed these stumbling blocks placed in my path, found me, and brought me to faith.
    But I still have the questions. Why do we only hear about the Flood and genealogies? Yes, the Flood is written about in Genesis, but why are the asteroid impacts that God placed in his timeline never talked about? These events were massive and caused impact winters decades long. Theia impact created our Moon. We have the recently discovered and heavily weathered Deniliquin crater, the less weathered Vredefort impact crater, and the Chicxulub impact crater that ended the dinosaur era. Chixculub and time also answer the question of why are there so many buried bones... Add in Iridium and soot layers.
    God has clearly used these impacts plus vulcanism plus tectonic plate movement to shape the Earth as we know it, but no ancient texts, including ours, mention these within mankind's remembered history...
    Fortunate for me that God looked around this YE/OE conflict and drew me in. But I ask people to answer the question, why is the Flood so well written about, but why are the greater events of asteroid impacts and vulcanism left out of timelines?
    Does this conflict prevent people from finding faith?

    I thank The Lord God for revealing Himself through this work that you do. I know this world hates this, I expect that from them because they have no love for God's Truth and therefore (without The Holy Spirit of God) they do not have the ability to see "The Love of The Truth". What is sad to me is many who say they believe The Gospel of Christ will still try to mix the wisdom of this evil world with The True Word of God. They do this thinking this will get the world to love them, YET they fail to see that no matter how much they water down Scripture this world is still going to hate them. The world demands them to DENY ALL Scripture not just water it down.

    Yes! *As soon as Adam and Eve sinned,* word of the provision for their sin was given to them by way of the seed of the woman! Every other teaching misses out on this point. No other teaching has the Adam without sin covering for us who are Adam with sin. Jesus can die for Adam because He is Adam without sin.

    Dr Tackett is saying that length of time makes something a natural process and not a miracle. I disagree. The Bible is filled with examples of God speaking things and allowing time to pass. God said that it wasn't good for man to live so long because of his evil intentions in Genesis at the time of Noah and declared man's timeline as 120 years, however the record of people's lives shows that this happened slowly over time and wasn't complete till after the time of the patriarchs. The Promises God made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were mostly fulfilled many years after their lifetimes. Those promises are miracles. Natural processes could never account for them. We are bound by time but God isn't. Allowing time does not diminish God's power one iota or the miraculousness of it. Consider a child forming in the womb. It's a 9ish month process, but it doesn't make it less miraculous. God is capable of instantaneous miracles, but he isn't bound them. To make such a statement is to put God into a construct or "box" of our making.

      @@contraextirpation6406 A careful reading of the Bible supports long time periods and patience in God's preparation of the Earth for human life, so why is he trying to refute it?

    • @nightvisiongoggles
      @nightvisiongoggles Před 3 lety

      The point is that the "long time" argument is exploited by materialists to disprove the existence of an external Creator, not that it cannot be used for the process of creation. For example, atheistic biology resorts to billions of years to explain the existence, abundance, and diversity of life on this planet because it tries to avoid exposing the mathematical impossibility and improbability of random processes creating irreducibly complex systems composed of non-naturally occurring chemicals that have to be present all at once and function as a single organism, and then that process increasing in complexity as organisms diversify; the random, unguided processes adding newer, more complex information over these long spans of eons.
      God could certainly use billions of years to create, but what non-believing scientists do is attribute the artwork to the brush, not the painter.

    I am surprised Dr. Tackett is caught up in his own kind of box and doesn't seem to realize it. He accepts the scriptures he uses as the standard of Truth; yet he cannot be certain the scriptures he uses are indeed divinely inspired or even the True scriptures. I have seen Islamic young creationists make the same claims based on the writings of the Koran. Perhaps he should talk with Hugh Owen of the Kolbe Center for Creation Studies; should be an interesting conversation.
