Tom Payne, hot on the heels of the farmers combine, sets up a hide on the edge of an oil seed rape stubble. A successful afternoon of decoying and flighting birds, Tom manages to build a respectable bag.
Then, Mark Ripley takes the Tikka T1X 17HMR rimfire rifle out after a few rabbits. The 17HMR proves very effective and Mark quickly gathers a good bag of bunnies.

I can see mark adding a T1x to the cabinet they’ve a lot of options for aftermarket stocks to suit too !

Some long birds clean killed well done, nice to see bottom barrel first. 👍

Nice to see an explanation of the decoys at the start, probably the first I've seen that made things clear. Reinforced that I'm doing things correctly yet I still rarely hit more than 15. 👍

I use the same principle which you do. The top barrel sees a lot more use than the bottom one.
So it’s always good to use the bottom barrel whenever possible.

Great video! One thing I would say is the music is unnecessary and a little annoying. :D

Hi, great video, great shooting. What is that gun you are using, is it an old perazzi mx8?
    Thanks

    Greetings from Colorado!
    Don’t you eat these pigeons?
They are very tasty. Dove season in the States is on September 1st. Sometimes pigeons do fly in but it’s mostly doves that I shoot.
    Best regards

I like rapeseed oil. Great for cooking aside for olive oil.

Could it be because of the Belgian racing pigeon culture that I have never seen a hunter do this? However, the population is increasing year after year.

All pigeon shooters do this in UK. In the USA they do it with feral pigeons.

@@adl2005 Thanks. Already saw several videos on YT FX air rifle enthusiasts in the USA shooting ferals that sit like statues on shed roofs and electricity wires. Love this work more. It's more exciting and the shooter has to have a lot more skills.

Not on rape stubble. Very sharp.

Can I just add to TheDanny that rape is poisonous to dogs at certain times, therefore better safe than sorry, leave them home.
