This week on The Shooting Show, Tom Payne reunites with his old mate Rob Swift to get back on the pigeons. Ahead of the harvest, they’re both desperate to get some shots away and build a bag. Then Chris Dalton heads to Argyll in pursuit of early season red stags although finding a shot beast isn’t easy without Zosia. Then, Mark Ripley heads out with his air rifle. Things don’t immediately go to plan but Mark ends up with a few crows, a couple of squirrels and the world's unluckiest magpie to boot, all of which were tucking into the farm's maize store.

Great pigeon's-eye drone shot 3 mins in - not seen a shot filmed like that before.
Loved the drone shot - never seen anything like that before. The Brocock is a fantastic little rifle and is so portable I take it with me even when only walking the farm - just in case.

Great video as always thank you. Loved the pigeon shooting segment, and I was very impressed with the drone footage and being able to capture the shot bird mid flight. Exceptional timing!!! I have one request if I may. Would it be possible for the background music to be reduced as it’s rather overpowering the gents commentary during the video. Keep up the good work, many thanks.
Nice video, great drone shot. Shame the music was more foreground than background music, it was louder than the talking. Other than that good video 👍

Hello Tom, i hope you are prepared to give me an honest answer, how many , of the 176 birds you shot, did you actually pick up at the end of the day ? As i did not see you pick up during the day, it all had to be done at the end of the day, right ?

To be honest i expected more accuracy from the Brocock, specially for head shots. Maybe you should try other pellets. I do better with all my HW springers on 30 yards and get easy 10 shots within one cm. with my S410. I like the compact model but if the Brocock can't do better it's for me a no go and would go for a shot version Galahad, Dreamline bullpup or Wildcat.

The grey squirrel isn’t bothered what birds eggs it takes Robins cuckoos and any others.
That 2 for one shot with the air rifle, was a nice surprise, but just shows you the need to pay attention to your background.
Don't like the music, seems like the old side by side give the shooting instructor a lesson
That drone shot with bird getting hit was perfection. Don’t knock the SxS a bit lighter and faster in the swing.

Most of the shooting videos have music on them, when they are shooting and when they are talking it is so annoying and not natural. Other than that great video.
