I just got back from a place called Bikaner, in the Rajasthan province of North Western India -- and I found myself at a temple where a man worships 25,000 rats. Not only does he (and all people in his community) live among these rats, but they actually believe that they are the reincarnation of their dead family members. Aunts, uncles, parents, grandparents and cousins - in the form of dirty rats!!

Nah, I'm from the southern part of country. I'd like to visit and walk and stuff but definitely not going to eat or consume any offerings from there.
Last year 2 rats traveled their way in an Amazon box into my house. I still get chills up my spine if I see a shadow in the corner of my eye. I don’t know how you did that Drew!

You may be surprised, I've had both cats and rats as pets at the same time, and them living together, growing together, they were always friendly and gentle with each other. But I wouldn't trust any random cat with my pet rat. I also had a friend that had a black labrador, and a white rat, and the rat used to ride on the dogs back, they played together too.

The fear of "Not Being" after death is so powerful for these people, that they brainwashed themselves into believing that if they worship these rats, that they too will be reborn as a rat after death, so they can come to this very temple to feast. Very interesting concept. Religion makes people do interesting things.

Some animals are predators and some are prey, we humans are just at the top of the food chain and can control this. Also no offense but who was killed for thinking the earth was round? Galileo is the only notable case and he wasn’t killed he was put on house arrest for the rest of his life.

Its not really surprising that people don't get sick, because they're all probably just immune to it. Humans at the end of the day did once live in the jungle for a long long time.
