Because theyâre lying for optics. The story in the dudeâs head is still one of self-importance and how his decisions have broader consequences for âthe cultureâ. The guy literally said he only changed his language because it got him in trouble. Itâs obvious to conclude that he sees humility as a branding tactic-which is fake af
On a side note, he was right about people with low self-esteem reacting with negativity towards confidence/self-assuredness. Itâs a means of projection due to the sad reality that the detractors often canât imagine themselves as powerful and assertive for their interests (the type of person that expects everything to be solved for them)

He knew but still couldn't stay quiet
@@NabeelFarooqui the awkward silence got him. It gets everyone in the end.
It's a super common technique when interviewing people. Most people will do anything to avoid awkward silence, so they will just start talking. Louis Theroux uses it constantly in his documentaries, and is kind of signature of his

@rusty I donât like the âcopying my styleâ argument as if Andrew created the awkward interview style. Comedians have been doing that for decades. Iâm sure Andrew was inspired by someoneâs style who could say the same thing about him copying their style.
@@jakew1362 I don't think he would claim to be the originator of that. Louis Theroux comes to mind as someone that Andrew took inspiration from.
You're right, that was a little transcendent! I think that moment was so good because he was asking questions that he personally wanted to know the answer for, for his personal growth. So often he's giving the audience what it wants. Great meta moment, shout out the editor!

These videos are like a fever dream of a news channel I love them
2nd half of the episode was rlly good. Glad i came back to finish it.
Anyway, the interaction w guapdad rlly brought a smile to my face, and wonder to my head. Makes me think about how infatuated or in love you could be with someones art but when it comes to a relationship with that individual, it can be very different. I picture a scene where you actually end up becoming friends with someone whoâs art (music in this case) you really enjoy. But you two have a falling off eventually. The ponderous part to me is how you still might maintain the same relationship with the art, but now with an additional layer of proximity to it, which in some cases could ruin it all together. Idk thats my stoned philosophical blabber, idrk where that leads to.
Anyways I appreciate all the humility in this video. There are def some lessons to be extracted, and also in a odd way i feel reassured by ass pizzaâs talking.
Guapdad is my new favorite character in the C5CU. His quotes are perfect. His delivery is perfect. His ability to riff with strangers is perfect. His silent bewildered sidekick is perfect. Andrew really outdid himself with this one
