TEXT: Acts 12:6-10 (NIV)
6 The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the
entrance. 7 Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. ‘Quick, get up!’ he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.
8 Then the angel said to him, ‘Put on your clothes and sandals.’ And Peter did so. ‘Wrap your cloak round you and follow me,’ the angel told him. 9 Peter followed him out of the prison, but he had no idea that what the angel was doing was really happening; he thought he was seeing a vision. 10 They passed the first and second guards and came to the iron gate leading to the city. It opened for them by itself, and they went through it. When they had walked the length of one street, suddenly the angel left him.
Peter had found himself in a deep valley with little to no hope of escape. Sometimes in life, you may find yourself in a situation that looks impossible to escape, but the God that you serve is one that gets people out of impossible situations. What God has done in the past, He will do again. In this dire situation was in such a deep sleep that the Angel that was sent to rescue him had to shake him awake
Why was Peter so relaxed that he fell into a deep sleep?
Jeremiah 17:7 (NIV)
7 ‘But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD,
whose confidence is in him.
Hebrews 13:6 (NIV)
6 So we say with confidence,
‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?’
Peter was relaxed even though it looked like there was no chance of escape because he had his trust in God, and he knew that God was his helper
What is the situation that you are going through that looks impossible to escape?
Put your complete trust in God and put your mind at rest because God will show up for you to rescue you. Believe that the God that you serve is a miracle working God. God can operate outside the odds because He is all powerful. The person that gave His life for us is the one that is in-charge of your life. There is no situation in life that is hopeless because God is with you.
He did it in the life of Peter and He will do likewise for you. Go out today with the confidence that the creator of the universe is with you. Go out there today to win because the power of God is resting upon you. Go out there to dominate because God’s presence and favour will make way for you

* I am free from the powers of the enemies!
* I am free from sickness and disease!
* I am free from lack and poverty
* My spouse and children are free in Jesus' name and nothing has me bound
* I command in the name of Jesus that all doors locked against me to open up to me
* Doors of success, open up!
* Doors of miracles, open up!
* Doors of achievement, open up!
* Doors of new jobs, open up!
* Doors of business connections, open up!
* Father, I receive Your divine intervention in Jesus' name
