TEXT: Genesis 50:20 (NIV)
20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
Through faith and perseverance anyone can transfer their fortune from rags to riches
The life of Joseph is the story of a person that went from rags to riches. He was sold into slavery at the hands of his brothers, but at the end he ended up in the palace. God can turn your lowest moments into stepping stoned into stepping stoned into your greatest victories.
Ruth 3:10 (NIV)
10 ‘The LORD bless you, my daughter,’ he replied. ‘This kindness is greater than that which you showed earlier: you have not run after the younger men, whether rich or poor.
The story of Ruth is another one that shows how God can turn a person’s life from rags to riches. Ruth lived with her mother in-law after her husband had died; she was faithful to her mother in-law, and she was rewarded when a rich man noticed her and married her
As a believer, be faithful in whatever you are doing; when you are faithful at your job, God will turn your situation around. Through hard work and faith, you have the power to change your destiny with God by your side. You have to be determined that with God on your side, you will make it through. You may be in the valley, but God will take you to the mountain top. God is going to lead you out of the valleys of life. Your story is not yet over. Your beginning does not determine your future or where you will end up
WHAT ARE THE PRACTICAL STEPS
1. Trust in God’s plan - as a believer, you must whole heartedly trust in the plan that God has for your life
2. Persevere through trials - difficulties and c challenges are part of the journey to your greatness; embrace then as opportunities to grow
3. Stay faithful and righteous - no matter what challenges you face, maintain your integrity; walk in the ways of God and He will honour you
4. Seek wisdom and guidance - surround yourself with God fearing people and seek God’s wisdom in all the choices that you make
PRAYERS
Heavenly Father, thank You for the examples of transformation in the Bible and in modern life.
Help us to trust in Your plan, persevere through our trials, stay faithful to Your teachings, and seek Your wisdom in all we do.
Guide us on our journey from rags to riches, not just in material wealth but in spiritual abundance.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
