Fantastic video Sammy! Regally made my day when the clip popped up and it was a beach session! Looking forward to part 2!!
🙌🙌🙌 part 2 is a cracker as well 👌👌
We would call that an African Pompano in this part of the world. I believe it's the same as a Pennantfish. Nice catch!
Looks like a AP a baby though
Yep, an African Pompano. My wife caught a 10 kilo one off Miami. Great eating! As they grow they lose their threads. Jim L
Frilled juvenile African pompano
Great work Sammy! The reef never disappoints. Whitey definitely redeemed himself from last week as well! See you next Sunday !
Hahah yeah he surely did. The man can jig!
yk its a good day when this bloke uploads
love the content sammy
Appreciate it mate! Thanks for tuning in 🍻🍻
It's good fun watching you guys get your arms stretched with such an incredible range of species.
Great drone and under water footage.
Thanks.
It’s smiles all round when there’s double hookups every drop 🍺🍺😍😍👍 ya gotta love reef fishing.
Nice work once again Sammy! Looks like the deep water jigging was on🔥🔥🔥. I love that kinda fishing bc you never know what you are gonna pull up. Its always fun with the variety you get but also all those deep water fish usually are delicious! Tight lines brotha and keep up the great content😎
And most of them pull bloody hard! It’s a win win win 💪💪💪
Jig videos are my favorite! Never know what you'll drag up!
It’s always a lucky dip on the jigs! 👌👌
Loving the under water footage, Sammy 🍻🍻
Unreal vid sammy, this ones a pearla, especially seeing conditions in seq at the moment are dreadful 👌
Very well done fellas! Loving the vids Sammy! Good variety up there mate
Cheers will, yeah proper lucky dip out there hey!
Love your work Sammy! How good is fishing nearly untouched waters out with Big cat Reality!
It’s unreal mate! Best place to go get stuck into a few that’s for sure! 🍻🍻🍻
Great video as always. Always good to see the jigging videos never know what’s going to come up.
Appreciate it mate! Glad you liked it 🍻🍻
What a great mixed bag mate well done!
Thanks for watching mate 🍻🍻🍻
Hey Sammy love the vids.keep up the good work.👌
That african pompano is fantastic eating🐟😋
Well there you go! We should have kept it!!
Yea thats an African Pomp here in the States. We call em AP’s. Very exotic catch here but more common in the Keys and all of S. Fla. Excellent eating and more fun catching! Dont get over 50 lbs but fight like hell!🤣🤘🤘😎
Yeah I’ve had a few people say they are great eating now! Sounds like we missed out! 🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@SammyHitzkeFishing well if ya ever catch another one keep it! I have only had it twice but it IS a delicious tasting fish. Kinda tastes like a mix of Wahoo and grouper to me.😎🤘🤘
Its a Pennant Trevally Sammy. They call them African Pompano in America. Top 5 best fish to eat for me.
Well there you go! I think we had out blinders on thinking we’d just keep trout and RTE! Missed the Pennant for the table 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Another awesome video as usual mate 🍻🍺
Thanks mate! Cheers for watching 🍻🍻
Pennant Trevally indeed. In the Atlantic we call them African Pompano. The diamond or Indian Threadfin has an almost vertical / angular face vs. the rounded trevally shape. Great fish, great vid.
I thought it might have been! Such a cool fish! 👌👌
G’day Legend,
As this session is about jigging, I’d like to ask you ;
When jigging in this kind of situation, terrain and conditions , do you have a preference of multiplier or fixed spool and , if so , which one , and why?
Thank you Champ for your time and for the adventures.
Chris.
Hussar are awesome eating .
Those diamond/pennant trevally (we call them african pompano) are up there with wahoo eating wise, similar too. Shame to see them go back they mightve been the top eating fish of the lot
Cheers 🍺
Hey sammy i absolutley love your vids. Your the best🤙🏼
Thanks for watching mate! Glad you’re enjoying the videos! 🍻🍻
@@SammyHitzkeFishing all good bro. I was out of nsw yesterday and managed to hook up my first ever marlin
That silver fish looks just like a juvenile African pompano. Google say you can catch them in Australia. They’re found in topical waters.
Yes African pompano. That was a juvenile, the get rather large. Very good eating.
Will have to try eating one next time 👌👌
Good on ya Sammy ♥
Thanks very much 🍻🍻
The "diamond" is called an African Pompano
Nice mate, think that’s the same as a Pennent fish 👌👌
Hey Sammy that was a African Pompano
🙏
Good fishing 🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰♥️
🇧🇷 Bom dia.Boa 🎣🐟🐟🐟🎣⚓
🙌🙌🙌
What happens to all the tackle after these trips, does it go back to Wilson?
It gets sorted out, washed and we pack it into boxes for the next trip 👌👌
Letting an African Pampano go when yer out for groceries? Y'all crazy. 😂
A minute late, had me scared sammy 😬
😂😂😂 a minute late?!? I think you’re clocks wrong 😉😂
Anyone else get 400 ads watching this
Y'all call them Pennant-fish but in North America we call them African Pompano. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_pompano
