    We would call that an African Pompano in this part of the world. I believe it's the same as a Pennantfish. Nice catch!

      Yep, an African Pompano. My wife caught a 10 kilo one off Miami. Great eating! As they grow they lose their threads. Jim L

    Pennant Trevally indeed. In the Atlantic we call them African Pompano. The diamond or Indian Threadfin has an almost vertical / angular face vs. the rounded trevally shape. Great fish, great vid.

    G’day Legend,
    As this session is about jigging, I’d like to ask you ;
    When jigging in this kind of situation, terrain and conditions , do you have a preference of multiplier or fixed spool and , if so , which one , and why?
    Thank you Champ for your time and for the adventures.
    Chris.
