Sick video. Watched it whilst eating my breakfast and drinking my coffee today. By the end of it, my plan to sit inside a steer out the window at the sunshine had gone out the door. Instead, I'd rigged my gear, packed my bag, and set off for my fishing spot. Love it, lads 🤙🏼🎣

i'm running a rear single and a belly treble on pretty much all of my surface plugs minus pencil poppers. less fouling, less of a mess to unhook. hookup rates do go down a bit.

If i treat my rods that good they would break from the shock, i take my rods apart in pieces and leave the reels on and throw the pieces in the back of my car and DONE, let's go. Yet i have never broken a rod in 49 years exept if i fall or something like that. I do the same with my flyrods too and idc if it's my Sage's Loomises, Nam's or loop rods. For me rod'and reels are tools so i treat them like tools since the shops have more and shops need to sell to stay alive. I dont have very much gear tho like some youtubers, my rods and reels together is just in the 40 k USD range so i have what i need but not more. Anyway, from my poor man's rods and reels to the vid, great stuff as always and i need more of them so make more vids Briggsy, Matt and JE and Cav dog can only make SO many:)

Briggsy how could a viewer start to realize a trip like this, budget wise, gear wise. Is it smarter to just charter a trip or go full out balling on fishing and camping gear, find someone with a boat and hop a island. Would love a video on fully getting a trip going
