Warren Hayes turns every thing he touches in gold
👌
Haynes
Ummmmmmmmmmmmm it is already solid gold.......... hard to improve but he sure as hell does it justice !
9+ minutes of absolute Warren Haynes goodness. Enough said.
Damn straight, warren’s awesome ❤
I'll have to replay this for a while . It's going to take a little time to get it out of my system. I Have the volume wide open .Loved his version. Awesome ❤
Toy Caldwell's greatest song being performed by perhaps the best blues/rock performer alive today!
Hard to find a vocalist that can growl the blues like Toy did when he let loose on this tune & you don't find many players that could come close to his finger (Thumb) style attack but Warren never disappoints no matter how many different times he's played the cover of one of the most well identified songs in 70s Rock . We miss Toy & that whole original band.
Couldn't agree more!!
Absolutely agree!
He’s one of very few who can do covers of songs and make them sound fantastic
He's almost in Joe Cocker territory.
@@TVsGringoStarr Nice!
he makes them his own, you have to go outside the lines but keep some of the orginal parts
@@TVsGringoStarr except Warren mastered rock and blues guitar.
Totally agree!! He can play anything from Marshall Tucker to Pink Floyd not only put his own perfect guitar spin on it but sing the fuck out of it. Warren is special.
When this song first came out, we played it in every garage in America.
This, is what we wanted to be, when we grew up.
I just refused to grow up. 😎
This is our music.🇺🇲
I will never listen to what they tell US 🇺🇲 to.
couldn't have said it better!
Warren Haynes is a National Treasure ~
Warren is one heavy dude. Dead stop. He can really bring it.
Mr. Haynes can cover any Songs he Wants he even cover's Tom Waits on his New album. He's gonna respect the Music and do it justice no matter who's song 🤙
Toy would have loved this treatment of his iconic song. Smiling down from Heaven, now...
one helluva piano solo. i wasnt expecting that was fire
RIP Tommy, Toy & George ❤🤘. LONG LIVE THE MULE! 🤘
Billy
Ooopppppps, sorry thinking of Da Feet for some reason
What a masterful rendition.. It is wonderful to see musicians so in control of their instruments and songs. Not over-done, not under-done, just playing it like it's their own. Great post. Thanks. This hit the spot tonight.
There are no words to describe just how incredible this version truly is....
warren is just a boss. always has been.
It always irritates me when people have to compare people. I like his music. In his own right. Thanks for the video.🙂🌺
Hello Connie,
how are you doing?
Thanks for your love, support and for being an amazing fan! ❤️
It's nice meeting you here
I agree with your comment 100% and am the same way. I hate when people compare one artist or band to another (usually the one who did the original song) and then expect someone else to do it the EXACT same way! Music is meant to be interpreted by EACH person as they feel it❗️
Love you Connie 😍
Exactly
Warren is a bleessing to humanity.
Go to Christmas Jam, all I have to say on it.
Saw the Original Marshall Tucker Band. They were unbelievable. Toy would like this !
Pure Gold! Warren is amazing😎
Great cover of a great song! Wish I was there!
Toy Caldwell is smiling on Warren doing this cover 😎
Thank you Mr. Hayes, my favorite song of my entire life.
Haynes.

Great job of capturing the soul of this beautiful song
Warren Haynes has more soul in his little finger than a lot of folks have in their bodies.
Cannot say enough..rock on Warren ❤
Do you'll hear that sad and lonely tone in his voice. Brought me to tears. RIP toy and the rest of the band.

This music is US 🇺🇲
only discovered this song a few years ago, god knows how it got by me, but there you go, what a song, what a totally justified version.
Discovered it in 1981. If it was being played on a juke box, I would have worn out the song by now. I like every version I've ever heard, This is special with Warren's beautiful Gibson sound!
Warren did Toy proud with this one. Beautiful.
Warren makes that guitar sing
He makes it all just look so damn easy. It sure as hell isn't .... but he makes it look that way ... :) ... Thank you, Warren, you're the best!!

My Daddy was a picker... well a part of him will always be with me the music lives on.
That's Daddy in my little circle thingy. He and his band covered "Can't you see" as well. He always put his touches on covers as well. I have to agree with Mr Jimmy Page hahaha a sentence I never thought I'd and or type in my lifetime. You rock it brother. So well done just a pleasure for all the senses. Rock on! peace, Sharon Ann 💜
Toy & Tommy - so loud they busted my eardrum. Good times
May he live long and prosper. ❤
Love you guys... true brothers. That's the way all of the others would have it... hang in there...❤❤❤❤😢❤❤❤
That stacks up right along with Mule's version featuring Schofield. Unbelievable musicianship!
Toy just gave a nod of approval 😎
The keyboardist is fucking awesome
I'm gonna take a freight train
Down at the station, Lord
I don't care where it goes
Gonna climb a mountain
The highest mountain
I'll jump off, nobody gonna know
Can't you see, whoa, can't you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doin' to me
Can't you see, can't you see
What that woman, she been doin' to me
I'm gonna find me
A hole in the wall
I'm gonna crawl inside and die
'Cause my lady, now
A mean ol' woman, Lord
Never told me goodbye
Can't you see, ohh, can't you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doin' to me
Can't you see, can't you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doin' to me
I'm gonna buy a ticket, now
As far as I can
Ain't a-never comin' back
Ride me a southbound
All the way to Georgia, now
Till the train, it run out of track
Can't you see, ohh, can't you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doin' to me
Can't you see, can't you see
What that woman, she been doin' to me
Oh, Lord
Can't you see, whoa, can't you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doin' to me
Can't you see, whoa, can't you see
What that woman, she been doin' to me
Can't you see (oh, she's such a crazy lady), can't you see
What that woman (what that woman) she been doin' to me
Can't you see (Lord, I can't stand), can't you see
What that woman (ohh), she been doin' to me
Can't you see (I'm gonna take a freight train)
Can't you see (down at the station, Lord)
What that woman, she been doin' to me (ain't never comin' back) oh oh
Can't you see (gonna ride me a southbound, now)
Can't you see (all the way to Georgia, Lord)
What that woman, she been doin' to me
💙

Just awesome.
For those who have not listened to the album “Dose”, you need to listen to it. ‘Larger than Life’ is a classic Warren Haynes hit.
'Dose' is a beautiful beast of a record. One of my all-time favorites.

LEGEND AND FUTURE ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE.🎵✌😎✌🎵
The RRHOF doesn't deserve Warren
His place is in the Musician's Hall Of Fame in Nashville.
Joe Clarke would have been honored to induct him, but sadly....RIP.
protect them from the r&r aka pos!
Magic .
This was the first concert we went to during the whole COVID situation after being locked down for a year. While the floor was pretty full, it was limited seating so we has around 8-10 empty seats around us in all directions. Westfield Music Bowl is a very cool venue. Not a bad seat in the place.
Enjoying every moment, thanks brother's 👍💯🙏
I usually dont like live performances, but this is better than the original. A true artist.

Feelings
Sorry, what a beautiful song when performed by great artists
In a cover you have to be careful about dancing all over a grave. In my opinion Warren and GM play this classic with the utmost respect. For they know what it means to generations of fans who have sung this timeless masterpiece. Warren sings this song with feeling and grace and all the while never gives the impression this song is just another cover. The way he lets this performance envelope the audience and allows it to share the lead vocal in my opinion is a compliment. The band knows the song has always been a part of every southern rock fans music library. Or in as in Warrens case every aspiring rock guitarist. The piano tells its own story, as it always has. Toy’s ride to freedom, the excitement and joy he knew he would feel when he got there. Warrens lead is just a compliment to Toy and nothing more. It doesn’t take over this performance, it just allows for the audience to picture the train gaining speed as its momentum pushes it up the mountain and the tracks end. As the music fades and the audience sings Toy’s iconic parting verse the historic romantic train ride through time appropriately comes to a pleasant and soothing end. This not only is a tribute, it’s a masterful performance by all and a dedication to a musical genius and his most iconic work. 👍👍
One true master paying tribute to another. The reverence Warren exudes when covering a classic like this is totally genuine. Just beautiful.
Amen
That was friggin' bee-you-tee-ful!!!
Kinda sounds like a Coonass would say it....
