if you can't feel the magic of this jam, that's cool, phish just isn't for you and there's nothing wrong with that. but if you can feel it, it's better than any feeling any drug or anything could ever provide...the chills that entire jam and especially the peak bring are insane. this is why i love phish

around the 11 minute mark, I thought i was kinda losing it. My mind had wandered off to some bullshit. Soon as I noticed this, the band popped the jam and went back into the groove. Even when Im not at a concert, and im just listening to this band on youtube, if you let your mind be open enough, it will synch up with the band. if this has never happened to you , i sound crazy, but if you know, you know. phish is capable of channeling that upper realm. and i love them for it
I was cooking a pot of gumbo tonight. As the steam rose off of the pot i smelled it and thought it smelled great. But then because of some wrong seasonings i placed into the pot the foam began to build and it overflowed onto the stove. I called the repair man and he said to fix it i must pay a fee. But i had no money so i called my friend esther to borrow some. She could not help me because her dog jim had run away and she found him and had to pay the vet because he had become ill. After ruining the pot of gumbo i was still hungry so i had a meatstick that i bought earlier to hold me over. I pondered and pondered how i would find the money to pay the repair man. Unfortunately i had to sell my jemp truck to get the money. I payed the repair money a little late and a wedge was put between he and i that day. He was quite pissed actually. So on nothing but a meatstick and a pot of ruined gumbo and no jemp truck i went into my bathroom and mixed up some gin in the tub. If i could do it myself then why buy it from the store? And then i was able to rest with a tall glass of my very own gin. While i drank happily i could see the light. I thought as i basked after all of this adventure "I enjoy myself." What a maze this place really is sometimes. Woke up hung over the next day. My neighbor mentioned that i looked like a ghost. From all of the excitement and gin im sure that i did look like one. So as i ripped back the curtain with my hands again and head out into the world my friend carini pulled up in my drive way. She did not look well. She said she had been attacked by someone with chalk dust on her way home. "What do you mean chalk dust?" I asked. "They tortured me with chalk dust!" She yelled. I was perplexed to say the least. "You can't torture someone with chalk dust anymore than you could with a tweezer." I ridiculed her in my response. After speaking with her further i realized that she had come down with disease and was not in her right mind. I suggested that she go get some help in weekapaug for her problem. Off to work again. We were in an in depth study of hydrogen for the past few weeks. I kept wondering about it's properties and their effects on my body, because hey after all i am hydrogen. Maybe in a few weeks ill go to the beach for vacation and lay in the sand for awhile. Ill study the waves and their beauty and relax. But which beach to go to, ill have to choose one of these cities. Most certainly not the beaches of portland i thought. Just not fast enough for me that place. Looking forward to some time off i layed down in my bed. "I've been waiting all night for this." My mind wandered a bit before falling to sleep and i thought of my old friend mike and the music he used to make. I couldn't remember the name of this particular one. "What was the name of mike's song?" I thought as i became more and more sleepy. Then it all faded into black.

I must protect you in the rider's hand I see he holds your prison's only key he glances up and glares and then he starts to climb the stairs I can tell you're terrified so I quickly go inside but then I hear a fateful scream and your soul joins mine as steam we escaped the dreadful night and as lovers soared in flight blissful weeks turned into seasons but one day without a reason or goodbye you flew below back to the animals you know now you forever sing your song with the wolves where you belong now quite alone I often dream I hear you singing through the steam

This jam rules, but Chris's lights make NO sense at all. He's doing peaking stuff when the band isn't building a peak.... dude just doesn't have it anymore, unfortunately :\
Actually he gets it together once the band is finally in peak territory. But early on in the jam, Chris is trying his damnedest to get them to peak early. Also, what's with the blinking and strobing during the song proper? Just create a fucking mood, guy. We know you have 4,439 special effects patterns you can use. But can you still make good mood lighting?
