*Great reel, **enjoyable.fishing** recommend very smooth and I love that you can change from left hand to right hand so easily. Gave it a 4 on durability because I haven’t had it long enough to rate it. Doing good so far.*
@@richardbilic7914: I ended up with a Stella, 2 years of use now. Maybe I lucked out with the bearing issue, mine seems to be fine. I mainly target striped bass and I can tell ya, it’s so smooth.
Great overview video. Quick question, I had been planning on buying a 20 Saltiga, and then this reel came out. My question is, how much difference is there between this reel and the saltiga? What more do you get from a saltiga for $200 more than the certate?
Hello TackleWest , can you tell me the Daiwa 21 Certate SW 8000 is good quality . i want to buy one but some one said the gear material is very bad , so i m scare .Thank you for your time.
I need a new spinning reel for my 1.9 meter vertical rod . pike-perch fishing from a small boat in fresh water.. But most reals dont have any rear brakes. Any suggestions for a reel max 100 euro dollar that has a rear brake on it.
the certate is the better reel of the two. It is practicaly a watered down saltiga, it is also a Japanese made reel. The Saltist MQ is a good reel but you can't really compare the two
@@TackleWest i have never seen a certate sw in a 6k size..please link for me, im not talking LT model..hrmm youre right..i just checked they do have a 6k model...man..i just bought the Saltist MQ 6k too..
@@TackleWest there are old Penn reels out there that are 50 years old and still working. Now do you honestly think this reel will last 50 years?? This reel won't even last 20 years
@@peterkerns8343 Ok? Not everything is about durability? A Torque 60 will land and fight fish much easier than a senator. If your broke and can't enjoy things just say it. You only live once😹😹😹
@@funnyman2828 I don't need the latest technology to enjoy things. The old Penn reels all had low gear ratios. Low ratios are power. They give plenty of torque to reel up a big fish. I want a reel to last forever. Not an Asian made reel that will crap out in 8 years
@ Peter Kerns Why bother commenting here? If you’re happy using your old Penn reels than god bless you! You can make the same argument about many material objects in life! Your old Penns are like an old Ford, works but uninspiring. Why don’t you go and comment on a video for an Aston Martin and say your old car still works better and lasts longer!!!

I Own both certate and saltiga reels they’re both amazing
yes they are great reels!
Any big difference?
@@pwndu3452 you won’t notice everything just the price difference.
@S.C Fishing depends on your budget either reel would be a great choice. Don’t recommend Stella they seem to have bearing issues.

Penn reels are made in CHINA now.
Just bought a Daiwa Saltist MQ.2021 ICAST Saltwater Spinning reel of the Year! Cheers!
Isn't the new Saltist made in china too?

Hi mate,
The internals of the reel are the same, but there is a number of differences like the Air Rotor, Drag knob, handle, spool etc
The Saltiga has 12 bearings compared to the Certates 8, too.
You also get a ridiculous maintenance guarantee with saltiga

Great stuff. Just wondering what's the difference between the new certate sw 5000 and certate lt 5000?
same

Would you run PE8 on the 14k or go the larger 18k? I like the size of the 14k...
You can run pe8 on the 14k but you won’t fit a lot of line
I wish i could have one of this.

Catalina 4500h vs sertate 8000h is better for shore jigging??
Certate is the go

the tatula feel the same for half the price
Bullshit tatula is way smaller way worse sealed way less cranking power and drag performance
Not even close to certate
ill buy one when Daiwa makes it in a 5-6k size.
They do make them in 5 and 6k size now

Yes it is more expensive then a Saragosa, the Certate is a top tier reel and the saragosa is only a midrange reel
Pero ese carrete es más bien para jigin que para spinning
Не дорогая!?😂вы там что курите!?
I just bought an original unused Penn 704 green spinning reel on ebay. It will outlast this overpriced reel 5 times over.
