    Love this video, nice to know what you are actually using for fishing. Thanks for that Champ.

    A light/ultralight tackle video would be pretty nice 😄

      I know its stupid but i take my pe0.8-1.5 rod out to the reef and use it on my first drop just for a laugh. Fuck its fun but It definitely gets alot more love taps compared to my heavier setups. No better way to start the day with a almost 180° rod bend 😂

    Nice equipment / here in Panama we’re waiting for the nomad vibes - what knot you rec. for mono to braid -?

      @TackleWest  Před rokem +1

      Nice. I have to go fishing in Panama some time. The best knot is the FG knot for that

    What do you think of the Zenaq rods for GT popping ? I’ve heard they the best for it, but soo pricey. Might be looking at a Spartan popping rod.

      The Zenaq rods are in a league of their own mate. If you have the cash to spend absolutely get the Zenaq

    What’s your take on the proposed new demersal band as a business owner that will be affected, and as a keen fisho?

    • @TackleWest
      @TackleWest  Před rokem +1

      I’m totally for conserving the fish stocks but not at all for completely shutting people out of the fishery for 9 months of the year. There has to be and is better ways of managing the fishery going forward. The amount of businesses that are going to be affected goes well beyond fishing tackle, marine, tourism, accommodation etc is all up for a loss if this goes ahead. As somebody who employs staff, pays taxes and contributes to the community I am utterly disappointed in the proposal by the government and will be doing what I can to fight it.

    What fokeeto would you pair up with the new 23 saltiga 4000

    • @TackleWest
      @TackleWest  Před rokem

      The 76 would be best matched to a 4000. Both 73 and 78 match well with a 5000/6000 size

      Cant go wrong with a shimano saragossa 6000 or a penn slammer. The storm adajo rods are great value for money too.
