    This is the best video on these that I have seen. Great job! Was thinking about getting one of the glass ones that light up because they look cool as hell, but they attach to the top side panels with 3M tape?! Ya, hell no! Unfortunately, the ones like you have look a bit cheap looking. I would like to have seen it with the windows down too.

    • @SaabUnleashed
      @SaabUnleashed  Před 3 lety +2

      Wind blows around the side of the wind screen, so the deflector isn't as effective

    • @General_Crock
      @General_Crock Před 3 lety +4

      @@SaabUnleashed Not as effective, but still quite effective in terms of wind noise and air circulation- I often have the windows down on hot days. I have been using mine since 2005 and highly recommend them.

      I don't Liz, I'm afraid. The Saab original ones, like the one shown in the video, are not made any more, so you would need to find one second hand. But you can find generic deflectors that will do the same job on eBay

    So a wind deflector is ONLY making the hair stay in one place and no other benefits than that? What does it do to the overall wind noise in the car? If this is just a hair matter then a purchase is deemed to be a stupid decision as they are quite expensive

    • @SaabUnleashed
      @SaabUnleashed  Před 7 měsíci +2

      It's all about air turbulence in the car and in this video I was using our hair as a visual representation of this.
      It reduces the wind in the car, which makes them excellent in the cooler weather, because the atmosphere outside the car won't completely cancel out your heater whilst your roof is down.
      And yes, I do enjoy wearing a coat with the roof down with heated seats and heater on during the winter :)
      In the summer, I tend to have the deflector down because I actually enjoy the wind in my face

  • @mdgeorge4993
    @mdgeorge4993 Před 2 lety

    Hi there. A random question. What is the wind like in the back seats for passengers. Obviously without the deflector. If you had two teenagers in the back would they be suffering at 50 or 60 miles an hour? Are there heaters for their feet? Thanks so much for your help. I need to assure the missus before I buy one.
