I have had over 120 cars over the years, I was looking for a cheap car in 2010, looked at a Passat and BMW 320, and found a Saab 93 1.9tid , a 2008 model , it blew my mind how it drove, a one day journey over a 1,000 miles , the seats are incredible, yes, no comparison too it’s original vectra chassis .
Saab forever!! My favorite car...

Saab is not dead at all! But it might kill you, Saab is currently building the Grippen jet fighter and is developing other weapons and military equipment ;) back to their roots again.

Have a 2005 Aero convertible - re mapped to 280bhp - drives much better on Bilstein shocks - also has Maptune exhaust 👌

Build spec and options.
Love the way you can add items
Like auto dim rear mirror
Folding mirrors, factory sat nav.
Mine has sport chassis with maptun
Springs.
These factory detuned engines are solid.... And for £100 I get a remap
That gives an extra 60 horses.
Crazy to think it's so much car
For such little money.
They are absolutely great platforms for tuning and oem customizing, as well as that they are such great drivers and relaxed cruisers.

Nice video, and if they asked you what it was about, you can just tell them *I was just chillin one sunny afternoon in my Saab* and your video captured it perfectly! (If they didn't know what chillin meant....) I have an earlier model, yet I still look at the occasional Saab (very rare now that it's 2022)
We're guessing Saab owners are always relaxed in their cars. Are we correct?
Considering buying an Aero in fantastic lime colour--filled with rainwater in recent thunderstorms here in Spain--dealer drying out and looking for new doors seals!
Door seals are normally good for years,
It will be leaking from the pollen filter housing.
Take off wiper arms, remove black scuttle panel, and you will see the filter housing in a vertical position.
Remove filter, unbolt plastic housing, on the back you will see a crumbles felt seal, scrape it off, clean the area where it fits, use a generous bead of sikoflex or tekoflex sealant, not silicone as that will fail in a few months.
Refit all and your problem will dissappear.
Remember your carpets have one inch deep foam, with indented channels,
It will take a lot of drying out to get rid of it.
Also remember when you took the filter housing off, you could see through the hole the heater blower motor, that will have had water on it, spray it with something like wd 40.
I have a 2007 saab 93 aero convertible, really looking to do a muffler delete but not sure where to start when it comes to buying parts kind of new with the whole car thing. But guess you gotta start somewhere
