I am a senior with very large arthritic hands. I wear a xxxl glove , these grips are amazing! I can now comfortably grip all my clubs, using the old style Moe Norman baseball grip. Highly recommended!!
This is timely. Played yesterday - hitting driver really well but had a couple hooks…saw this video and went to the pga superstore this morning and got an ultramax lite small grip installed on my driver. Hit about 25 balls on my simulator when I got home. No snap hooks and ball either a draw or a little bit of a push. This could be a game changer
I currently use the JM UL XS grips as well. I absolutely love them! I actually don't know if I could even play a round with regular grips now. They feel TINY. I found that I'm hitting it straighter as opposed to the over draw problem I was having. Don't think I'll ever go back. The only problem now is that when I look for new (or used) clubs I have to factor in the cost of getting them all re-gripped 😉
I’m 100% in the same boat. Same dilemma whenever I look at clubs, too! 😂
Same exact setup as you, and same results. The only thing I change is I have the "large" on my 3 wood currently, but placed an order a few days ago to change to the XS. They absolutely make a difference, all of my friends say the same when they hit my clubs. True game changers.
Same I’d never go back but I hate testing for new clubs and I know I’d perform better with the grips compared to when testing with those skinny ass grips
What is your glove size? I’m trying to decide between standard and XS.
I wear a large glove and the extra small str8 tech feel perfect. My son wears a xtra large glove and he prefers medium size str8 tech. He started with Xtra large taper jumbomax and had good success but prefers medium str8.
Love your swing. Folding of your trail arm. Been working in it for the last year and a half and my results are awesome. My consistency is very good now. I've got my length back I had in my early 30's. I'll be 51 in January.
Have real bad arthritis in both my hands. These jumbo grips have been a game changer for me. I put them on all my clubs. What a difference, never hit the ball better and I also wear two gloves
I have them too! I use the Small version in all of my clubs. Also have a Jumbo max arm lock putter grip.
Hey Christo, John O. Here, I ordered a complete set based on your recommendation, thank you, also I’ve almost completed my weight loss since I took that lesson from you, lastly my golf has never been better. Will follow up with in two months.
God bless you, my friend! You’re an inspiration, John!
I switched over to JM UL M grips this season on all my clubs which I love. Previously I switched from the typical standard to the black JumboMax wrap grips in size medium on all my clubs 3 years ago. These were much heavier grips than the JM UL and a real challenge to get used to. Once I did, they were good… but nothing compared to JM UL.
I don't have large hands (8" from wrist crease to tip of middle finger). I use the Jumbomax UL Large on irons 6-UW. I tend to really hook my mid & short irons. The Jumbomax grips have all but eliminated the hook but I give up 5 to 10 yds in distance which I don't mind because distance isn't a problem. I use the Jumbomax UL Medium on my 3-5 iron (Large will cause me to slice). I'm a slicer with the driver so I'm sticking with a Golf Pride Align Midsize. That's my experience will the Jumbomax. The grips are noticeably large but I'm getting use to the feel and new alignment.
Nice I’m definitely going to use that code. I’ve been wanting to get these grips but for over $200 it’s little steep on top of the new clubs I’m getting. Puts the set at 1500. Thanks..!
I’m a better golfer with these grips. If I had to choose, I’d get a $1300 set and the grips.
Kinda looks like you're using the str8's...is this true? Did you try the tapered version?...and if so what did you like better?
Can you let us know what size glove you wear? It would give some insight
How did you determine to XS Jumbo grip ? My hand size is from wrist to tip of 2nd finger is 7 1/4 ", what is your hand measurement? You said to contact you for any questions. This guys not answering, so do any on e have the answer ???????????????????????????????????????
Just placed an order for 1 ultralight x-small based on your recommendation. I'll give it a go and if it works for me I'll buy the whole set.
It’s so worth a try. You never know. I’m completely sold!
Can you explain how you hold the club with JumboMax grip in the lead and trail hand? Fingers , palms, life line, weak or strong. I put on XS like yours and started pushing it into a weak draw, not straight. I am a single plane Moe follower.
Thanks
Mark
I wear a M/L glove you recommend xs ?
Maybe do a video of how you put the JumboMax grip in your hands that would be helpful. Been following you on youtube for a long time.
thanks for great video, really enjoyed it, hoping to get these for my irons , thinking of the ultra lite model in large as I wear xl glove, thanks again and greetings from Ireland
Hi. Enjoy your channel. Is there an issue with all the clubs fitting into the bottom of your golf bag? I “can see” one … like the driver. But 14 Jumbo Max grips in one bag? Seems like that could be a problem. IDK. Also, does the Jumbo Max affect the swing weight at all? Thanks so much.
I didn't have any issues with my cart bag with a full set of JumboMax grips, a smaller carry bag might be a different story.
I use Tacki-mac unified non-tapered grips. I once had the Jumbo grips - larger than the one Christo used. They were a pain in the neck getting in and out of my bag. I have a cart bag with slots for each club and they started tearing up the bag. Maybe the smaller ones will work better. Do note that the Tacki-macs are 82 grams so they really back weight your clubs.
@@justmythought1586 Yes. And that makes the swing weight less; makes the club feel lighter.
I was worried about them fitting in my bag as well. I use a carry bag mostly now, and I don’t have a problem with 14 clubs. The swing weight on my clubs is the same!
@@MiracleSwingExperience I will have to check those grips. Thanks for the info.
how do you know what size to get? I have to order them online so no where to try them first where I live.
Hey I’m a new sub! Just wondering if you’ve looked at Craig Parry’s swing, remember watching him in his prime and he’s a perfect example of an OTT swing 👍
What kind of golf bag will carry a full set of these?
I have oversized grips currently, and surprisingly they fit fine in my stand Vice golf bag. But I think these probably won't
Hey Christo, I was just curious about how this affects your grip. I know in 5 Lessons Ben Hogan talks about the importance of having the grip in your fingers with the right hand, and that the knuckle on the right forefinger is pressing towards the target almost on top of the shaft. Is it harder to have these jumbo grips in the fingers of the right hand?
It’s easier! I’m all about that right knuckle. One significant difference is I sometimes choke down a little, and on a skinny grip I have nothing there to press on top of. Not so with JumboMax!
I’m definitely going to try the jumbos. I tried the midsize and they feels like the standards.
Most will do well with size small which is not that small but I have spent almost $500 on these grips trying the tour and the ultra lite tour is great on wedges counter balance 90 grams but for your driver the ultra lite is money. I have standard over size on my woods
Best decision I ever made, it will be helpful in the long run especially
I hate thicc grips, I feel like I lose all power and control. I feel like a car on ice, metaphorically. I always let my clubs be gripped with the thinnest lady grips, love it! Then again I am a strange golfer, I also play all shafts with light flex, while my swing speeds are close to PGA tour average. The fitters were trying to get me to use stiff shafts, but I hated them with a passion - even regular felt quite bad...
JOHNNY MILLER USED LADY'S GRIPS AND WAS THE BEST IRON PLAYER IN THE WORLD FROM 73-75
Then again, he wasn't trying to shill grips on the Internet like a chimp
What are you gonna play now that Hogan is gone? I think you'd be perfect for like a Mizuno or Cobra deal or maybe Titleist.
I’m not sure. I think there are lots of great clubs out there!
XXIO
What size JM grips did you put on them? I noticed there are several to choose from, I have smaller hands but I agree the grips I am using are causing to much handsy movement and its shifting too much in my transition. Wanting to try some bigger grips like Moe use to use. What do you recommend?
Been looking at these for a while but not taken the leap yet. Just to confirm, what size are you using pls?
He mentioned it in the video. XS (extra small) because he has small hands.
XS
Are you tapered or non tapered
I just try the jumbo size for my driver only, the only reason is because I am suffering the pain from my right middle finger ,and the palm . I am a right handed. I think this is the tendon tearing due to my hitting 200 balls twice a week! I am 53, my hand felt the irritation. Hope the jumbo can provide good cushion for my hand!
The Jumbo Max grip will help for sure. I had hand surgery and feel the jumbo grips help a lot with keeping my hands from hurting.
How much 1 grip?
What size grip did you get?
Mo Norman played with hammer handle grips
Drop the “my buddy” inserts and get to the subject.
Those sports you mention are not really speed plus feel games, but I like the idea. ALSO, DO NOT get distracted from where you're going with this "equipment journey"....
What size glove do you wear
Medium
so you play with medium jumbo grips?@@MiracleSwingExperience
never mind i just saw further down what size you use thanks
john daly style over the top
You're giving out the secret sauce lol.. thanks for the information brother
using jumbo grips 30 years
Right on. Daly and Bubba, too. They know.
Guys who need these grips are compensating for something. (In their golf game.)
It’s a money making hype. Sorry 😟
Have you tried them? If not how would you know?😀
