    YOUR ALIGNMENT IS 100% WRONG YOU NEED TO WATCH YOUR SELF HIT BALLS BY HAVING THE CAMERA TO YOUR RIGHT BEHIND YOU.
    YOU DON’T HAVE A COMPLETE FOLLOW THOUGH ITS LIKE A QUICK 3/4 SWING.

    I switched last year and am playing better than ever, 72 yrs old, found that i can use lighter grip pressure thus loosening up more and hitting further and more accurate shots. I play with a med glove, so I use the xs sized jumbo grips.

    I had heard good reviews about the Jumbomax grips and wanted to try one. To give you some context, with my driver, I typically have a slight fade so I had concerns about the big grip creating more fade, but I tried it anyway. I bought a Jumbomax JMX Ultralite, Small (size), grip for my driver. The grip weight is the same as my regular GP CP2 Pro grip. I thought with the larger size grip, my grip pressure would be less and hopefully I could swing faster.
    I had it installed and then the next day I played a round of 18. The first two holes I aimed my drives to the left thinking I would have a slight fade, but it went straight left. After that I just hit it down the center. It worked wonders. I was able to increase my swing speed and confidence, hitting drives regularly 20-30 yards farther. I believe for me, the grip size was perfect and the similar weight to my previous grip made the difference. The other Jumbomax grips are considerably heavier.
    It created renewed confidence in my swing. Give it a try, it may work for you too.

    I've tried ultra lite XS on my woods and driver, And it made a huge difference. I went into the "flatscreen" room with 2 seven irons. Exactly the same clubs (long story) and put an xs on one and dritec LT (less taper) Med. on the other. Long story short the Jumbo XS straightened out my iron and added swing speed and distance.
    I now have them on ALL my clubs!
    PS.
    went back to the "room" with readouts and the new grips worked on my other irons as well. Picked up 5 to 8 mph swing speed and no longer any left hook mis-hits. I might add the Jumbo xs (xtra small) light weight are around 42g compared to the DriTec 58g, change my swing weight from c9 avg to D2/D4 depending on which club.

    I played with the jumbo grips for a little over a year. I found my rotation being affected because of my grip and lost yardage with my driver, long irons as well as mid irons. I've reverted back to Golf Pride mid-sized grips. Hopefully, my game continues to improve. Mid handicap golfer.

    I don’t think the grips are an issue. Your swing timing with your hips speed clearing your body opens or closes your club face. Find the best combination and you should be square most of the time. I use midsize grips which work for me.

    I have the ultralight medium on all my clubs. I put them on due to a bit of arthritis (I guess) in my knuckles with regular grips. They work great for that. I have used them in the past, but didn't like how they threw off the swing weight. The new ultralight model, has taken care of that now, and they are on to stay. They don't stop me from missing left though. They did at first, but after getting used to them again, I can overcook my normal draw very easily.

    OK, let me add my 4cents (inflation).
    I have a mild, albeit temporary case of arthritis in my left knuckle that cause my left hand to lock after about 9 -13 holes of golf.
    I purchased a couple of these to put on my driver and the other on an iron to test.
    Right out of the gate, the driver was literally a “HIT”. The iron was just OK but more about that a little later down.
    The grip allowed me to hold the club with less pressure which allowed me to swing with confidence.
    While my drive yardage remains the same, I am hitting a lot straighter and finding many fairways (like 5 out of 7 over 9 holes which equates to only two fairway miss (just out of the fairway) as I have not included par 3’s in the assessment).
    My hands were less sore after the first use but strangely, I have very, very little to NO pain in my left hand after 18 holes of play. AHHHH, I just remember that the pain subsided AFTER I replaced ALL of my clubs with this grip at $16.99 a grip so I don’t know where you got yours for only $12.99.
    Now let’s talk about those grips on my irons. After I put them on and took them to the range, I felt like crying because “I COULD NOT HIT THEM!!!!!!” The ball would just dribble forward about 15 yards or push to the right. I was totally flabbergasted because I just spent over $150 bucks on these.
    Out of nervousness, I immediately went back to my driver to see if I could still hit it with this grip and I was still spot-on (265 down the fairway). So I knew I just needed to figure it out with my irons which didn’t take long.
    I ended up going to a strong overlapping grip style for both my driver & irons and it was “GAME-ON!”
    Because my set-up is rather consistent, I don’t really need to feel the club head through the grip; I just set-up and go.
    Fortunately, I have a Sun-Mountain golf bag that have large grip opening which I HIGHLY SUGGEST people considering these grips, ensure they will fit in your golf bag or you will have to purchase a NEW BAG. The grips are about 1.5 inch in width and the newer golf bags are about 1.75 grip-opening which will accommodate these grips.
    The grip might created a dilemma for me as I am thinking about getting fitted for a new 3Wood at the PGAStore but they won’t have this grip so I am a bit puzzled as how I should handle this; any suggestions?
    The JumboMax are a permanent fixture for me and get a 5/5 rating.

    I've tried Jumbo grips out before, kind of a case of pros and cons. Pros: help prevent the clubhead from turning/ keeping the face path more smooth and straight Cons: not much feel of where the club is relative to the ball, kinda just feels like I'm swinging air, but I could definetley see how people could like this

    This was cool to watch because you are the only other person that has the JumboMax grip like me. I put the grip on my Cobra Speedzone driver and for me I immediately notice a difference in feel with my hands and the tension I applied. I don't feel as though I am having to grip as hard. I did not change my irons....yet...because I still like the control I have with my irons. My brain was telling me big clubhead little grip and I just was not feeling the balance for myself. I still have my fade/cut/slice issue that I am going to be addressing with Matt at the golf garage. Let me know how you feel about them in about a month or two and interested to know further how you feel about the grips on your irons.

  • @thegrindtopar
    @thegrindtopar Před 2 lety

    That was kind of cool to see much the grip did affect your swing and ball flight. I'd be down to see how the ball flight changes after you move the weights in the head. And that nemesis hole drive....100% relatable. Played this weekend, aimed left (my normal to account for my fade/cut/slice) towards a fairway bunker, and it was dead straight, but thankfully just to the edge of the rough before the bunker. lol

      @GolfParfection  Před 2 lety +1

      Dude everytime I play that hole I have no clue what I'm going to do lol. I think I have gotten more used to things now so next step is to see if my ball speed has changed at all with the jumbogrips on the driver. Thanks for watching as always bro 👊

    • @GolfParfection
      @GolfParfection  Před rokem +1

      So I no longer have these grips on my irons but I could actually switch to them any time I want because I literally bought a second set of my cheap irons to go back and forth between grips. I think the results on course we're positive and objectively missed left less. However you do lose quite a bit of feel in the hands and I don't feel like I hit shots "pure" with the grips on. I really likes the grips on the driver and I miss them on my woods so if I can get over the lack of feel in the irons I might go back to the full set. Thanks for asking I'll repost this as a pinned comment!

    I seem to bounce between standard and midsize grips each time I change them out, which means I'm due for some midsize this year. Nearly pulled the trigger on the JumboMax Ultralights when I last regripped my clubs, but decided I still had a lot of work to do on my swing and would rather stick with something more traditional. But I do see myself transitioning to using larger than midsize grips eventually, as I find the larger grips just so damn comfortable.

    however, if it is starting right and you are missing it right... that is not just the grip... that is a swing issue as well... leaving the face open... getting to the ball late... etc...
    move the ball up more in your stance..

      I got the medium sized grips from Jumbomax. I wear a medium/large size glove when available but go to medium if it's not in the brand I buy. If I'm being honest I think I don't think it stopped the shots to the left as much as I thought it would. A swing change would be more beneficial in that department. Main benefits of the grips for me is getting that baseball bat type feel to swing super hard but that comes with the sacrifice of feel in the clubs.
