Absolute class Once again ,great job hopefully get my clubs to you one day 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🍻
Thanks 👍
I am realizing how important the metal polish guys are in this whole process. Because the chrome is so thin a coating all the work is in the prep. I think I saw the bumper was only in the tank for a few minutes, that was in the last video I watched. Impressive.
Hi Greg. The Polishing is hugely important. You cannot hide poor preparation with plating, all it does is highlight it. And yes you are correct that it only takes a few minuted to apply the final chrome layer.
Great work...
Thank you! Cheers!
Your shop does incredible work!
Thank you!
Never knew you could chrome aluminium, I take it the bumpers are CNC machined from billet.. fantastic work. Would love you to do the chrome on my 41 Cadillac coupe Hotrod..
Hi Dave, you can plate aluminium but is not straightforward. Here is a detailed video of the process with some Rolls Royce handles. We should be able to help you with your Cadillac
Could you do a video on triple chroming and whats it all about?
Great video Alan!
Glad you enjoyed it.
Hi Alan! Thanks for the new interesting video - beautiful plating results! What I wanted to ask for a long time: is there any exhaust ventilation around your nickel and chromium plating tanks? It's hardly to see any...
Yes, there is.
My goodness what a piece of work that windscreen frame was!
Very challenging bit of fabrication alone, requiring a lot of skill to make, but oh man, that guy polishing must be worth his weight in gold!
That did look a real challenge job polishing that up, an awkward shape, I bet his whole body ached after doing that.
But what a result!
A really informative video showing the sheer skill of the polisher and platers.
As an engineer I can appreciate that. It’s about time youngsters of today look at people doing this and learn what it means to be a master of a trade.
Wow, just wow! I bet the owner of all those parts was thrilled with the job, I know I would be.
Loved this vid🙏👏👏👏👍
Thanks for the comments. It does take years of experience to be able to do this type of work. The parts are for Jaguar as it is their JLR Classics division that made the cars.
$1.5 million sounds cheap.
Only if you say it really fast
