- In this video, I take another look at working in VR. It has now been several months since my last video regarding Immersed, Virtual Desktop and Meta horizon Workrooms. In this video, Part 1, I will take a more in depth look at horizon Workrooms, and some of the changes since I checked it out last. Whilst only being available on the Quest 2 or Meta Quest Pro, is it truly possible to work in VR, and what are its limits?
Stay tuned to find out…..

I hope the video has been useful, and I wanted to mention that there is a passthrough portal option in Meta Horizon Workrooms, there is a desk button which lets you see you keyboard/mouse/desk 👍
I'm really impressed with the detail of your videos. You've helped me a lot already. Thank you very much! Subscribed
Thank you, glad you like them and I'll keep the content going! 👍
There is a desk pass through on workrooms , it’s on the right side of the desk
Thanks, yeah I realised and pinned the comment 👍 thank you
Hi do you if its possible to stop the members in the workroom from customizing the room and only allow the admin of the meeting to customize?
I don't know unfortunately. The Immersed Discord channel is quite active so hopefully someone can help there, but if I find out in the mean time I'll let you know here 👍
@@DayDreamerVR thank you 😊
My pc overhearts & lags. Does your pc has the same issue?
Have you checked the cpu usage etc in task manager? What are your pc specs? I have tried it on older laptops to see whether they could run it and they struggled. I also had some dust etc which I had to clear at one point on my current laptop, but apart from that the specs need to be high enough and running well otherwise it could lag/overheat
@@DayDreamerVR My laptop Ryzen 9 6800 16gb ram rtx 3050
That should cope then, it would be worth monitoring cpu and gpu usage in task manager when using immersed, and going onto the immersed discord for further support-they are very good at responding. Their discord channel can be found here: discord.com/invite/QAxqfRHw
@@DayDreamerVR Meta workrooms & both immersed overheats my laptop.
@@mohammedazeem5304 what are the cpu and gpu loads on your PC when running them? If you have just one screen in the apps how does it cope? Does your laptop overheat from other use and is there any chance that dust etc is blocking or partially blocking the cooling? Please forgive me if you are aware of these tips but could be worth a look to see if these help www.currys.co.uk/techtalk/computing/laptops/how-to-stop-laptop-from-overheating.html
Does it work with Linux ?
Immersed does indeed work with Linux 👍 so you can get multiple monitors in VR
@@DayDreamerVR Immersed I know. I was wondering about Workrooms.
@@josemartins-game sorry about that, no unfortunately it is only available on mac or windows
