  • The Oklahoma City Thunder had Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden on the same team under the age of 24. They made a run to the 2012 NBA Finals before losing to LeBron James and the Miami Heat. From there, it was all downhill for OKC.

The Washington State Cougars went 2-11 with their only wins coming against Portland State and the 0-12 Washington Huskies. The Seattle Seahawks were equally as bad going 4-12.

Durant's trade and Westbrook's announcement of staying on Instagram at a party. Then after KD got those two rings and Serge got one, Westbrook wanted some success and joined Harden. 16:12 "It's the beginning of what should be a story of historic triumph; a meticulously-crafted masterplan for basketball dominance. But in the end, it was all just a stack of paper in the wind, as fans and front office alike reached out to the pieces of success floating around them... there was nothing they could do but watch it all disappear over the horizon."
    God damn.

please remember that this ownership group and it's management:
    - pulled the sonics out of seattle
    - couldn't win with durant, hardenm westbrook and ibaka
    - traded harden for pennies
    - lost durant
    - whined about revenue sharing
    - whined some more about the problems of small market teams, even though thea created a small market team out of a larger market team.....

I think undervaluing James Harden is what sunk them from the beginning. I'm a huge Pac 12 fan so I always thought James Harden was great but with Jeff Green and Westbrook he could hardly get any shots. He filled the Jeff Green role when Jeff Green was traded but he was never allowed to be a superstar until he played on Houston.
