This is a good throwback, that was the start of an amazing season , just can't forget how great Barça was in 14/15 in Luis Enrique's first season, that was after Brazil world cup, hope they do as great as this after Russia 2018

Is it so great to see Lio smiling again when he scores, last season he would just score open his arms and run. He worked hard, ran, defended, passed the ball. Hopefully the genius is back.
1st Messis goal is made by Rakitić at 5:03 , he knows how to quickly long pass ball and spread the opposition. Buying Rakitić is the best deal of the summer by Barcelona this season yet.

I am happy they have kept Pedro instead of Alexis (I think Pedro better suited to Barca style & more composed on the ball) & Enrique has introduced a fresh approach with regards to playing Rafinha & Munir out wide. Alexis offered something different but I really don't think he fitted in at Barcelona in terms of crating chances & making everything with the ball. I am also glad they have sold Fabregas (even though he is a genius on the ball) because it means they can now press better as a team (in my view of course, anyone might disagree) & create more opportunities, play at a higher tempo & apply a lot more pressure further up the pitch than they have been able to in the last two seasons.

rakitic is better than fabregas in terms of passing and tiki taka, but pedro does not suit barca now, the past pedro created chances for himself and messi and other teammates, but the present pedro is selfish that he shoots outside the box or not much space so as to ' improve ' his performance, and wasted a lot of chances that could pass to his teammates who has lots of space to shoot, the present pedro does not suit barca's organising and tiki taka playing style
besides, i agree that alexis does not suite barca's passing style, but the presence of alexis gives barca something fresh, like the goal scored by alexis in october against rmd 2-1, alexis could create his own chances and avoids the opponents to defend barca's passing. it is like playing boxing, u hit the opponents with arms, and kick the opponents occasionally to make differences, alexis is the kicking. Anyway, i guess barca wants suarez to replace alexis as they have similar attacking style.
I agree with your point regards Fabregas but Alexis was 2'nd or 3'rd best player of last season. He was just awesome. You saying that you are happy that they kept Pedro just makes me laugh. He had an epic season 3 seasons ago and after that he was nowhere near that quality. He doesn't have what it takes to be a Barca player.
Daniel H Sorry, although I do think Alexis is a great player, he is very frustrating to watch for me because he was often very wasteful with the ball (which is okay as I understand he was there to give something different), but I honestly do not think he was good enough on the ball.

Pedro is just too annoying. Had he passed it to Rakitic, Rakitic could've given Messi an easy goal and had he scored later on, Messi could've gotten an assist as well. Only good thing he can do in these days is his defensive work.
What if the black cat actually had something to do with FCB winning the treble that amazing 2014/2015 season. Its been exactly 4 years! We won it right after Brazil 2014 WC and this year we had Russia 2018 WC. Messi scored 2 goals on the first game of the season which was this game. And he also score 2 goals to start the 2018/2019 season. So Hopefully this 2018/2019 follows in that same way and we win the treble! Amen!

Barca will be good this season, I love Munir, Sandro, Rafina and other young new players. Awesome team! The only thing I dislike is Mathew and Pedro, I hope Vermaelen will always play insted of Mathew and Pedro won't get much space and other will play.

I guess alexis was much more valuable to sell and make money. Munir, Sandro, Adama are better potentially so Pedro should try change his position to right full-back.
Alexis is too good to be a bench player while Pedro seems to not mind staying on the bench. Thing is Pedro is nowhere near Barca quality , he had an epic season 3 seasons ago but that's it. He should have left long time ago.

I would not blame the defence on the 2nd goal there was a deflection and its really difficult to adjust so quickly. Munir is a striker he will take that chance.
