He'll use it for a few months and then sell it. He'll lose a few thousand on depreciation but he needs content for his youtube channel. If these cars are hard to order and in short supply, he might be able to sell it for the new price and would just lose sales tax and registration fees.

Yes, Tesla does have quality control issues like panel gaps and paint, but that is mainly because Tesla is in a hyper-growth phase. Tesla isn't investing too much in quality at the moment, they are investing in self-driving technology, battery technology, Gigafactories, charging infrastructure, etc. But don't get me wrong, Tesla will heavily invest in quality in the future, when they aren't focusing on a lot of other things at the same time.
When it comes to EV companies, there's Tesla, and then there's everyone else. Also, don't assume "Tesla fanboys don't know shit," they know a lot more than you about Tesla. Only the casuals are the ones that don't know much, and by the way, you're one of those casuals.
