  • A circular walk around the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria. Starting at the 14th century Devil's Bridge, along the Lune River, up the Radical Steps to St Mary's Church and Ruskin's View painted by Turner in 1822, then around the town and busy Thursday market.

Lovely little town. I never tire of spending time there. The churchyard and Ruskin's View are so peaceful, and the town so interesting, with some quite interesting shops. More often than not a stay in the lake district finishes with a drive back through, and visit to, Kirkby Lonsdale.

Hi Michael, nice unspoilt little town isn't it. We were in the lake district a few weeks ago, Fell Foot at the bottom of Windermere, wonderful.
