Some more info - the furnace inside the sauna that was the source to heat the sauna, basically got way too hot because i put it too close to the walls, resulting in it setting the wall next to it on fire (i think anyway)
i should have put the furnace at least 60cm away but it was like 5cm away haahahaha

soon as i saw the log burner was so close to the wall i knew that would be it, the wall was already getting burned from the heat in the internal video, burned wood right by it. You should put reflective heat sheets next to it made from stainless so the wall does not get as hot. Glad your all okay, just been watching some older tgf vids and is really nice to see your doing well.

not to be mean, its really not all that bad that it burnt down. you would have had some serious issues with mould pretty quick. saunas should be quite a damp environment and the MDF and the fiberglass insulation you used would just soak all that up and hold onto it not letting it dry.
really cool build otherwise, love to see what can be done on a budget (even if you didn't account for the cost in your own time, as in wages)

@@FurryTrash_ I hate working with the stuff. Makes too much dust, is too heavy, you can't use it anywhere near any kind of moisture, and you can't even really burn it nicely to get rid of it if you are taking something apart. The only thing I have ever seen it maybe being OK to use for is making templates for a router, but you still have the issue of all the dust. Ply is always better in any way, even OSB is better than it in most applications (bar the template thing I think really)
@@nathanmiller9381 Even worse, its filled with formaldehyde that irritates skin, nose, eyes, throat and causes asthma and tracheitis. Horrible stuff, don't know why they make it.
There was also an issue with the "support" piece of wood holding the roof up. It was just screwed to the pallets. To be strong enough it would need to be resting on top of them. After a while the roof woukd have sagged and start letting rain in Might have put the fire out though so maybe that was your cunning plan all along 😅.
