"Salty Grey Ball Of Death" Hahaha. You had me cracking up with that one. It blows my mind that those Japanese baits work but you can't argue with results. Thanks for another great build my friend.

This is a great DIY video and will save a bunch of money considering most of these JDM companies charge roughly $20 for only 4 of those tiny baits. I also wanted to say, I think they are mostly fished on a drop shot, so you wouldn't need to worry about salt or weight. Just let the drop shot weight get it to the bottom and leave the beautiful color shift alone in the 242 plastic.
    Tight Lines brother!!!

Thanks man! Drop Shot.... interesting. I can see that now that you say it... that definitely opens up some possibilities. Crazy how pricey they are!

    Nice video
I saw a picture of a cube bait and had a idea
I used the floating blend plastic "White label" to make frogs '
I mixed up a home brew Bull Frog green color
I poured flat strips of plastic 1/2" thick and cut it up into 1" wide and 3" long pieces
    The "Front " I rounded
Close to the back end I put 12 strands of silicone through it side to side
I rig it weightless with a 4/0 worm hook
I cast it up against the cattails and slowly work it out

SDG.....been hood-winkled and bought some of these several months ago. Like most fishing lures, they are designed to catch fisherman rather then fish. I made a form and poured a few up and didn't do well on them. I also made sone out using a piece of thick oversized zinkos which did about as well. The biggest negative to these science fiction baits is the price. 30 bucks for 5 of these dice....no thanks....I will stick to my finnesse worms!

I've been wanting to use unflavored Fish Gelatin Powder to make my own "Furry Dice", but I'm way too busy experimenting with my crazy swimbait ideas to even try the originals out. Having played with it a couple of years ago, I noticed It can be made to be as hard or soft as you want depending on the amount of water you use. It can have anywhere from a rubbery to gummy gel like texture, and it's also heavier than water. It's originally intended as a nutritional collagen supplement and is made out of 100% Tilapia. I use it to add an amino acid boost to my Bait Fuel and other scents. It's fairly odorless and smells like Bait Fuel too. Id' love to see someone try it. I think it can be a real game changer, considering how expensive the originals are.
Love your content, and it was good to see you in the Bass After Dark chat (took a while for me to recognize you, if that was you. Sounded like you anyway, lol) I think you are brilliant and your kids are very lucky to have you as a father.
Not exactly sure if it's me or just how things cycle, but I'm noticing some really skilled bait makers lately. Like, a next level skillset class of DIY bait makers. you are one of them. I'm predicting a bait making version of the Googan Squad in the near future, but of course not as prolific due to the Custom/DIY bait making niche. Whoever is going to be in it, they're going to need a founder and captain like Rob Terkla is to the "squad". I have a hunch that you could be "that guy" if you were to ever consider it.
Have you seen N2TW'S channel yet? That youngster is gifted!
Anyway, sorry about the long comment. Just thought I'd stir things up! (as usual)

Had a brain fart .. lay a fiber window screen on one side of the mold mark the center per cavity poke a slit with an xacto pinch a split shot per cavity( like candy dots on paper ) lay it back into the mold inject The screen would slow down the plastic taring and keep the weight in place
