    Blue fleck looks very much like the Berkley blue fleck color. Add blue glitter. It is an outstanding color!

      I was thinking the same thing, I was hoping to see it with Blue Glitter.

      Strange thing is that the Lureworks picture shows blue flake in the pigment already - but I didn't get a whiff of that. I could just baaaaarely see a blue sheen but no "fleck" at all. Maybe I should have removed the cap and dug around in the bottom for hard pack, the shaking wasn't enough (with with the ball bearings I add to all my bottles). Mystery for sure, LOL!

    I love the mint brown, and I agree the other color did not look blue in anyway to me. Great video.

      I used to call it Mint Chocolate - quite delicious, especially with a mix of large and small black flake to really drive home the texture. Glad you enjoyed it!

    The blue fleck is the base color for the worm color blue fleck which uses that base and blue flake in itm similar to plum with blue, but different base color.

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  Před 5 měsíci

      Gotcha! The Lureworks picture on their site shows flake in the pigment itself, which is why I was so confused, LOL. Still a mystery, but thanks for watching, and for the feedback!

    Adam, Blue Fleck was a zoom color and it would have blue flakes in them.

      Yep. Not very saturated and a decent amount of blue flake. I think Mann's had that color, too, way back in the day.

    Always like to see single color builds. I’ve used the Blue Fleck Dye and when I’ve used it I see a slight blue hi-lite tint to it. I’m not sure why it didn’t show up for you, maybe needs a little more saturation to get the blue to show, but I’m kinda new to the bait making scene, so giving advice to a professional is sticking my neck out more than I should. I look forward to more videos like this, keep um comin’.

      You are not wrong my friend! I saw what I thought was the same... but then I thought maybe I was just fooling myself LOL. I bet with more saturation, as you said, it may have become more obvious. Appreciate the input!

  • @baitchuckin
    @baitchuckin Před 5 měsíci +1

    Awesome video Adam! Pointer for you and the other folks, the Jelly Apple Red Dye is comprised of the same dyes used for Methylate, so it's best to add in Jelly Apple Red BEFORE you heat your plastisol. It avoids those little chunks of pigment floating around in hot plastisol and you get much better dispersion. It's a Florescent Pink to Orange changeable color and very translucent. Methylate is actually the opposite color ratio, Orange to Pink changeable and it is more opaque.
    Interesting burgundy color coming from the Blue Fleck, I'm glad you tested it, saved me from having to, LOL I have a bottle here that I haven't opened yet, same with the Black Plum. I already want to throw some Molten Core or Onyxia Holoshift Powder into the Black Plumb and see what kind of magic we can get!!

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  Před 5 měsíci

      Thanks man, very good input. I did see the "clumping" that took a bit to break up in the hot plastic - I'll keep that in mind for the next time (as I WILL be using it again, wow!). I replied to your other comment response about blue fleck... puzzling! Re: Black Plum... or my... the mind whirs with Holoshift potential, yes indeed!

    @N2TW_customlures Před 5 měsíci

    The blue flek is just a base color meant to be used with blue flake lol. It’s an old school worm color that zoom used a lot. I’m sure others made it as well

      @SDGCustomLurecraft  Před 5 měsíci +1

    That "blue fleck" does look just like the strike king finesse worms in blue fleck....only they then add blue flakes / glitter. I never knew why it was called blue fleck when it's more of a plumb. I also struggile with the name.

  • @CircleCitySlicker
    @CircleCitySlicker Před 5 měsíci

    I wonder if they named it blue fleck after Berkley's blue fleck, which seems like a purplish-red body with actual blue flake added to it????

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  Před 5 měsíci

      Yup, that seems to be the consensus! I had no idea, but I, admittedly, don't know big box colors as well as I should! Weird thing is, the LW picture on their site shows blue "fleck" actually IN the pigment. Maybe it settled after I shook it, who knows!

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  Před 5 měsíci

      I'd be guessing based on what I can see online (the Zoom version as there's many)... but I'm seeing black (medium), gold (small), and a blueish/purple (maybe "violet" as that's a purple that is on the blue-er side) - medium size but far less than the black (same with the gold... far less than the black). But... like I said, that's just a guess!
