Batista's submission looked amazing but the way he did the Sitout Powerbomb looked dope as hell and impactful especially for a guy of his size
There were some Batista bombs that definitely had me rolling not gonna lie. Brutal as all hell
Kane had a pretty painful looking Powerbomb into a pin, and I wish he had kept using it and dropped the Tombstone Piledriver as his other finisher.
@@ghostmachine71 his Powerbomb was pretty dope
Bobby Lashley is the one who broke the Master Lock . Hurt Lock is his permanent move
Very poetic
A move that's been OBSOLETE for Decades
In my humble opinion, that's what takes away from it to me. Had he started using it in his first run right after the masterlock angle, like he stole the move, it would've been great and different. But they never used that in story, so it's like he's just falling back on someone else's move and they are hoping we all forgot about that
It's like doing a headlock now
Kane broke it first.
i respect kevin for asking austin permission to use the move. i would love to know more wrestlers who asked permission to use a move first from their mentors before performing it.
Randy Orton asked DDP if he could use the Diamond Cutter
I remember Steve being upset when John Cena used a springboard stunner as a new finisher.
That’s a good video idea tho
@@kenterminateddq5311 It was more a signature move than a finisher...
Yes, respect for Owen's for asking permission/for Austin's blessing.
On the other side, you get guys like Cody Rhoades who says if he fights someone X-number of times, win lose or draw, he automatically gives himself permission to use their finisher.
The mandible claw fit Bray Wyatt character perfectly
The Mandible Claw was actually able to change your life forever.
@@AustinDickerson2001TigerWhen Mick Foley used the mandible claw, no ones life changed
I think AJ Styles' "Springboard Forearm" or "Calf-k1ller" should've gotten mentioned on this video.
His submission is possibly one of the most underrated submissions in wrestling history.
*Calf Crusher
@@ShaneDouglas713 wasn't it originally called the Calf K1ller?
@@kenterminateddq5311 If it was, it's my 1st time hearing about it...always known as the Calf Crusher
Hmm...
It was the Calf Killer in TNA and New Japan, Crusher in WWE as it's more PG. Also, the springboard forearm was never his finisher before WWE, it was a signature, and the Styles Clash (which was initially banned) and the Springboard 450 would become special occasion finishers. These rules didn't stick luckily, although the forearm became the *Phenomenal* Forearm (!!!) and another finisher for him to use...
Nah, the most brutal finisher is the awe-inspiring ultra devastating FRUIT ROLL UP
Just no
For Jericho he has another submission called Lion Tamer that I love. Looks brutal, like an ultímate version of the walls of Jericho
That was his WCW finisher, nobody in WWF wanted to take it, so he went with a conventional Crab.
Lion Tamer has been used off and on in WWE, but it is painful to take.
The NDA Drop
As someone who was put in the liontamer (thanks cousin) I agree It hurt like heck much more than the walls
I wish Roman Reigns stuck with the Gullitone choke as his finisher. It better suits his character. An unstoppable heel with a devastating finisher.
Agreed, the spear always looked weak when he does it, I prefer Edge doing the move cuz it most of the time looks like it hurts the opponent
@@sszerox you must be joking
@fumb3335 im not, his spears have no impact or weight to them despite his size, sometimes he can pull off a good one but its rare.
@@sszeroxI disagree with the Edge part. If anything, you just described Edge's spear.
@@sszerox yeah I liked it better when Batista and bobby lashley did it and Goldberg.
Honorable mention: Brock Lesnar- Kimura Lock
brock lock!
@@rapidtreal4612 Yes I thought they were going to cover the Brock Lock in the video after it appears for a second in the introduction!
Interesting detail about Roman Reigns' guillotine. There are two variations of the Guillotine. "Arm in" and "Arm out."
when you are really trying to finish someone with ARM OUT, you pull back and squeeze.
But with the ARM IN variation this won't work. You can't get enough pressure on someones neck. With ARM IN you finish by moving your chest forward and sort of balling up.
By finishing the ARM IN with the ARM OUT technique, Roman can very safely pull very hard and make it look incredible, while it being very safe for the wrestler being choked.
The punt should never be banned 😭
Cena's STF(U) at the time was a massive surprise, was it not? I remember watching that submission only match against Masters & Angle. No one expecting Cena to have something like in his arsenal, right?
Look like Benoit lock
randy orton giving stacy Keibler the RKO in 2005 was such an awesome moment on raw the fact that It'll be 20-years next year is insane.
Randy Orton started to become Viper when he introduced the Punt Kick move . He needs to bring it back
It's a protected move since it's to send it victims to hospital tho...
@@jaxthedisintegrator8096he will to roman and roman vacated titles 😂😈🔥
@@shivvaghela723🧢
Nah randy shouldn't use it as a go to finishing move as he used back in 08 and 09 it should stay a rare finishing move that finishes the match once several rko's can't do the job it should be a alternate fall back move when Randy's out of options that way it also comes out of nowhere when he does it fans won't expect it so it will always catch the fans of guard and by supprise and thus casing a huge crowd pop from the area and from fans all over the world ❤️🎊🔥🔥🔥🔥
he should use the punt to put away roman reigns
hey wrestlelamia your the first ever wrestling channel i ever watch and you do the best you do
05:31 I really enjoy the fact :
Daniel Bryan use KENTA's Busaiku Knee,
*AND* KENTA use YES Lock... renamed it "Game Over".
Batista have more moves apart from Spinbuster & Batista Bomb
Killer Kross's new finisher is great. He should call it "the Last Prayer"
The full Nelson/ master lock/hurt lock is actually really easy to get out of.
I like your finisher slname suggestion. His finisher will need more growing on me though
@@malachicampbell4125 It takes a lot to execute so it can be easy to botch. Hopefully not though
@malachicampbell4125
First time doing it was on Lashley. He's not a small man. It might look better on a smaller guy like Tez or Logan Paul.
It's called The Final Prayer
@ShaneDouglas713 that's what I was trying to think of what his shirt said.
I just came back to this channel, and I tell you, this was a VERY good video to bring me back to this channel
Batista bite a.k.a. Ring of saturn is actually a great finisher.
“Vastly underrated feud with Shawn Michaels.”
I agree. That feud is very underrated.
Undertaker’s Last Ride is definitely more brutal than his Tombstone
Karrion kross should use the Batista bite. He has that ruthless aggression expression to pull it off xD
It's would be FAR more interesting then his boring rear naked choke.
@@rhedosaurus2251 or his pumphandle f-5 move he's doing
Fun fact about the mandible claw: it’s meant to be performed with the thumb pressing up while the other two fingers press down, so in essence the mouth is squeezed. If enough pressure is put on the mouth the nerves can be compressed and render the jaw paralyzed. Obviously WWE doesn’t do this since the idea is to make a move look painful while keeping your opponent as safe from harm as possible but the claw can legitimately be very painful if done the way it was intended.
Seth is one example, his pedigree is pretty good but his stomp is better.
The pedigree is a signature now. Damn near transitional.
LA Knight needs a new finishing move to me I liked his old move in the indies The Gravy Train i liked when Batista did the Batista Bite too good video & HAPPY NEW YEAR WRESTLELAMIA.
Some of these finishers on the list looked awesome
Undertaker had plenty of underrated moves
The Dragon Sleeper was his most underrated finisher. I'm surprised that no other superstar has used it. Not unless you count Jamie Nobel in his second WWE run.
Last Ride and Hell's Gate were so good, especially since Taker has some experience with BJJ I believe.
Kevin Owens Stunner is becoming interesting
If you make a part 2 video, Lesnar's Brock Lock would be a good addition, the submission looked devastating.
Kimura lock you mean to say that
@@tamzidmohsinkhan3333nah, the OG Brock Lock
Jericho had another innovative move he used for a while, but stopped for some reason. I honestly loved the move, but kind of see why he doesn't use it anymore. He called it the Flashback. He'd get his opponent in a sleeper hold, and then drive the back of their heads into the mat. Similar to Christian's version of the inverted DDT.
I personally think of The Warlord for the Full Nelson finisher.
Hercules is the first one I think of with the full nelson. I forgot about the Warlord using it.
DVD
2:05
Almost all the people remember that moment for Randy's expressions. Now, I just can think on how he feels about trying to be a secure performer, and then injuring his own boss
Fiend character was similar to Mankind character when it comes to Mandible Claw
Honorable mention: Brock Lesnar with the Brock Lock and Kimura Lock as alternate finishers
Honorable mentioned:
1. Brock Lesnar - Kimura lock
2. Bobby Lashley - Hurt locker
3. Kurt Angle - Ankle lock
4. CM Punk - GTS
5. Big Show - WMD
The punt kick of randy is so compelling
The Undertakers dragon sleeper looks so fucking cool honestly
If I remember Drew used the Claymore back in TNA/Impact Wrestling
He also briefly used an awesome-looking Rings of Saturn/Batista Bite-type submission finisher there he called the Iron Maiden. Drew even made Kurt Angle submit to it, in a sort of flash-forward to making Kurt tap out to the Ankle Lock (I think) in one of his final WWE matches. I wish McIntyre would bring it back, it would especially suit his new more heelish character right now.
Wrestlelamia: Interestingly, the man who manages to break the hold would be Bobby Lashley
Me: Uhh Cena was the first, Lashley was Second
Facts
I liked the yes kicks from Bryant. Got me going even though im kinda all done with wrasling
The curb stomp shouldn't have been banned imo.
T.C.B. was a guaranteed win on SvR06. We loved using it when people started cheating or cheaping. If they were in the red, it took about three seconds to apply the sleeper and make them tap.
Only in WWE, Angle's Ankle Lock is the Angle Lock, and Bryan's Gobstopper was called Knee Plus
Not first, & never will be.😂😂😂😂
Are you sure about that
@@williammcdermott8692 Oh Hell Yeah!😂😂😂😂😂😂
That Cena’s punch shocked me to whole new level, like really?? After allthis hype that’s all you can come up??
Batista's power bomb was so badass.. depends on how you sell it ..
Wrong! Evolution is a mystery--a small change that no one sees.
5:19 lol Sgt Slaughter was too bitter on Lacey Evans used Cobra Clutch when he never founded the move 😂
Santi just like posted something like this
its rare but next to bring some alter finishes out of pocket as a close 3 finish before using the actual finish
honestly punk kick should be occasional event or promo should be used
clay more is made during drew independent wrestling / tna run
Slaughter being angry about the Cobra Clutch is hilarious given he never served in the military.
The master lock was an underrated move. Chris masters had a run with that move!
Why didn’t he have a secondary finisher? I feel he would’ve gone further if he had a second finisher
Jeff Hardy used the code breaker on Jericho before he went onto adopt it which is cool
Hopefully, The Almighty 💪 Hurt Lock 🔐 vs Kross ⏳ (Cross Jacket) rivalry will be the show! 🤔💭
Kross ⏳ finisher with Lady Scarlett 👠 whispering into the opponents ears is brutal ... Because it makes a person empathize with the situation!
Just add other finishers to his of moves perhaps!
I always associate the full nelson (hurt lock) with the warlord, not masters or lashley
So that's where gargano got the gargano lock from lmao
I’m glad atleast Owens asked Austin to use it
You could have mentioned the "Gogoplata" from Undertaker
Lol Danielson was using the busaiku knee in the indies for years it wasn't new.
Once I found out how to use the move I finished a lot of guys with the T.C.B when I played with undertaker in SMACKDOWN SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!!
What about F5 and kamura lock ... it was also a good choice
Yep
Evolution Can Be A Mystery or a change that no one sees
Drew + tight pants = claymore kick
punt is the dangerous 🔥😈😈🐍
Still no one kicked out Punt Kick 🔥
I wish Lashley used the hurt lock more. I love it but I think it's more of a heel finisher and even though he is currently a heel at least I think I still haven't seen him use it in a while.
The Figure8 leg lock of Charlotte is one of the devastating submission move
I'm still upset they didn't call Bryan's new finisher the "Solid Knee Plus" based on Steph say to him before he holds the big gold that he's just a "solid B+" player.
When I Think of the Full Nelson
I Think OF BILLY JACK HAZE(REST LEGEND)
THEN CHRIS MASTERS
Sorry wrestlelamia but I have to disagree with you if it wasn’t for John cena injury Danial Bryan would have never won that match cena wanted Bryan to go over with a new finishing move and that’s how the running knee was made. That was an overrated move cause cena sold it well and made it look great that night.
It's funny because now people just use superkicks as regular moves And not the finisher now.
👍 original host guy
The evolution is a mystery...
Randy ortons punt kick was awesome
You meant to say that evolution is a mystery
The RKO or the Diamond Cutter.😂
Didnt Mick Foley use the mandible claw that Dr. Sam Sheppard (of "Fugitive" fame) during his wrestling career?
batista bite = rings of saturn for sure
The old Batista bomb was it. But y'know. Safety and all.
This video went from ALT FINISHING MOVES to Passing of the torch Finishers . So , 4/10 lol
It’s ok . Still respect the grind Wrestlelamia
The Batista Bomb would look a lot better if Batista could pull off the sit down power bomb without it looking like a botch every time.
Evolution is a mystery
What about Brock Lesnar's kiruma lock?
That was a horrible decision for Daniel Bryan to debut the running knee at Summerslam against John Cena. When he won we were all like "What? That's it?"
Didn't Brutus Beefcake have the same Finisher?
Facts man thank you I feel like if cena was never injured he would’ve won that summerslam he should have.
yeah I felt like the finish of that match was bad they should have had cena win and then cena could have relinquished the title the night after summerslam on raw and then rewarded it to Bryan that would have been better.
@@goodmanfilife as the Booty-Man his finisher was the high knee ('heinie'... get it?) It was more like the Triple H high knee where he lands on his feet as opposed to the Daniel Bryan running knee where he lands on his back.
@@JL1goat you're joking, right? That is a horrible idea!
McIntyre Thee Move (Cradle Reverse Piledriver) is better finisher that Claymore. It's pitty that he rarely use it
6th move of doom
Did Daniel Bryan use the guillotine choke as alternate finisher during his first year in WWE?
Honorable mention to Jericho's Judas effect finisher as well. Tht move has been brutal
Just looks like a weak punch should have been a different move that he calls the judas effect which I like the ring too it, maybe a modified cool looking front face lock move that Chris makes look deadly otherwise at this point Chris should bring back code breaker and have judus effect as a signature move or rename the code breaker too the judus effect
Surprise big show ko punch wasn’t on the list even tho that was god awful lmao
I like the fact that KO has started using the stunner, but in NO WAY is it more brutal than the pop up powerbomb or the apron powerbomb
It's easier to perform and pull off on guys of all sizes.
@@zjdarrah ofc it's both easier and safer, not saying it's a bad thing that he switched but the title of the video says "more brutal alternate finisher" which in this case just isnt true
You forgot Jerichos Judise effect
What about Lacy Evans when she started doing the camel clutch?
Why doesn't Roman do the Rough Ryder & Guillotine anymore? I liked when Matt called his The Ice Pick
When did he use rough ryder? That was Zach Ryder's move
I liked The Leech name personally. A great sickening name for a blood choke, as well as his Big Money Matt gimmick...
So what was Kevin Owen's original finisher?
Pop-up Powerbomb. Before WWE, it was the Packaged Piledriver.
Early
The stunner is probably one of the worst finisher for the user. It hurts your back badly overtime
Wwe matts are softer now. Funnily enough KO switched to the stunner because the pop up power bomb hurt his back too much (he switched to a sit out variation)
I see no point in using the guillotine choke in wwe.
It's stupid every wrestler puts his opponent in that position every match but it is never treated as a submission move or anything other than a transitional move.
