Since Batista and Cena both got eliminated from the 2005 rumble at the same time, they should have done what they did with Bret and Lex at the 1994 rumble and declare them both co-winners

Finlay was DQed because he actually entered the ring before he was due to come out as he should have been, not because he used his weapon Wrestlelamia. Even if he didn't use his stick and just used his fist, it would be the same thing. You comparing that to Christian's situation is apples and oranges. Christian didn't enter the ring, Finlay did. Why is this even on the video? That's easy to understand lol
Indeed, the referees almost DQd Al Snow in the 01 Rumble for the same reason.
I get you’re trying to add logic, but I feel like there was little to no thought into the Finlay situation. They needed to protect Hornswoggle and this was the only way they could get him out of the Rumble match. This was the typical Vince, “it doesn’t make sense but it’ll make sense later.”

I watched the 1994 Royal Rumble on PPV live. Bastion Booger was there because they showed the number draws. Bastion Booger got “sick” after his earlier promo. He’d stuff his face with food as part of his gimmick. The angle they were working, was Bret Hart was injured by The Mounties and Owen Hart earlier in the night.
When the Buzzer went off, no one came out, and we all assumed it was Bret’s spot. When Bret came out limping 10 spots later, it was an insane baby face pop. It was just a little swerve.
I felt like John Cena and Bautista both won the 2005 Royal Rumble match because they each got world championship matches at Wrestlemania.
Idk if I’d say that Masked Kane and Corporate Kane could enter, aren’t they just different eras of the same character? Mankind, Dude Love, and Cactus Jack were three different characters.

1. You can legally be eliminated by someone who was already eliminated. Examples include Roddy Piper and Bad News Brown in 1990, Steve Austin and Bret Hart in 1997 although the refs did not see Austin get eliminated, and Sonya Deville and Naomi in 2022.
2. You can legally be eliminated by a non-participant. Example is Miz eliminating John Cena in 2011.
Finn Balor and Damian Priest eliminating Edge last year and they were already eliminated smh

Think you'll find it's Spike dudley. Kane attacked him as he entered in the 2004 rumble. He hasn't appeared in a rumble since.

but he isn't full informed I watched the '08 Rumble many times and there was no scene with an offical DQing Finlay.
Which means that he never got disqualified.
Otherweise there would have been a scene in or after the Rumble.
But that wasn't the case.

I hate the rule where an eliminated superstar or non entry can eliminate a superstar like when Shane o Mac eliminated hbk in 06 and corporate kane eliminated punk in 2014
I'd actually like them to clear up the confusion regarding people being eliminated by eliminated wrestlers. Many times we've seen eliminated wrestlers either eliminate or assist in the elimination of others. However, in 1996, Vader was eliminated but returned to the ring and threw out Shawn Michaels, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Bob Holly. I don't count Owen Hart in this group since he was thrown through the ropes. They were all allowed to re-enter the match. I assume because Shawn Michaels was booked to win the match. I'm curious what the run sheet for this rumble said.
As much as I dislike Pat Patterson as a human being for what he did to young wrestlers hoping to make it... The Royal Rumble was a brilliant idea.
Don't think Kane could have came back in as Corporate Kane as it was an evolution of the same character. He could have came back in as Isaac Yankum or Fake Diesel though

Cmon, these are not the rules (in the classical sense), but the loopholes for the storylines
Another reason the Mick Foley thing wouldn't happen again is because at the time the roster had around 50 male wrestlers. Some of which weren't actually active wrestlers, weren't able to wrestle, or had other matches booked. So it was very viable to have Mick do it 3x without screwing someone else over. Now its 150+ across 3 brands. It won't happen to that degree again lol
Another is that wrestlers can leave the ring, voluntarily or not, as long as it isn't over the top rope.
And has been a viable strategy in some cases. I'm sure this has been used multiple times but I can't remember exactly. One I think I remember is there was a wrestler who had left the ring or been thrown out, but it wasn't over the top. And instead of returning to the ring he hid and stayed outside the entire match until they decided to show back up on their own terms

The most confusing rule is that you can't eliminate yourself (like Randy Savage did in 1992) until Mil Mascaras did in 1996.
That was because Randy Savage wasn't actually supposed to go over. The plan (script) was to go through the ropes, but he got excited and forgot. Mil Mascares' Elimination was planned.
Andre did in '89. And *that* was the first 30-man PPV Rumble...

I think that, if they were to enforce the GM's ability to restart the ENTIRE Rumble, it should play out like a normal Battle Royale instead of including the staggered entrances. Otherwise, the PLE would run far too long.

I don't remember which Royal Rumble it was (I think it was in the 1990s but I could be wrong), there was someone that went up to the top rope and landed on an opponent that was outside the ring, the announcer said something like "I think he forgot this is the Royal Rumble match" and I believe the superstar eliminated themself doing that
I feel like the 2 winners in 1994 was a "surprise" that nobody would expect to happen and therefore there was no rule, so they just called it a draw. But it was seen to be a poor idea with hindsight, so for future rumbles they set a rule saying it couldn't be a draw... that's my kayfabe explaination!

One of the most BS things about the match is how people who aren't in the match or who have been eliminated already can eliminate others still in the match. It shouldn't count.

Well RR rules is bend according to Vince and creative wanted tho. A lot of rules broken bcs it will ruin the storyline. But tbh I liked the restart the last match between cena & batista. Last matchup in rumbles always exciting.
An already eliminated wrestler shouldn't be able to re-enter and eliminate an active participant. That elimination shouldn't count.

Finley was disqualified not for weapon use but for coming out before his entry it was said during the match (even tho he was next)
Andre the Giant eliminated himself in a Royal Rumble match when Jake Roberts returned to the ring with Damian, and it was recognized as self-elimination.
