The reason she did t have any problems in Korea is she doesn’t “look mixed”. She could easily pass as just Korean, while in Peru she is obviously Asian. She also has that pale beauty standard Koreans like.

@@conan4632 Or maybe the Peruvian mother had mostly european genes and thus the asian genes of the father dominated.
Not sure what you are seeing there but she definitely looks mixed. It helps that she is pretty as well and probably why she was better accepted.
For koreans, that face looks apparently mixed.not looking like full hispanic tho

Spanish and Asians can often have similiar features like facial structure and or eye slants, so her mix of peruvian and korean comes together very naturally. gorgeous woman!
Also remember that many Hispanics look indigenous and don’t look have eye slants or East Asian features. It’s important to remember that.
Asians and South Americans have the same ancestors. So they do have some similar features like jet black hair.

It’s very true, most Latinos see Asians as Chinese or related too. I didn’t until coming to that visit japan and Korea that every country speaks there own language. In South America Spanish is 95% all you need unless you visit Brazil 🇧🇷 😅

Some half and half people take after both parents in a way that they can pass for either nationality I think. I looked at her and thought Korean immediately but if the interview were on a Spanish channel in Peru I doubt I would.
It’s also a little sad for me that I have studied Korean now for four years but it’s still not as good as my Spanish which I only studied for about a year.

I personally recommend a chan nel 'go billy Korean.' Do not feel burdened on learning a new language, and check the channel time to time. I speak only two languages, Korean and ENG. Sometimes feel like losing both. You are better than I am

Yeah, it took me a few years of regular Korean study to get to my level 1 Spanish. Now Korean has replaced all the Spanish I knew.

Sometimes mixed people lean one side or another because of where that grew up, but she feels truly close to 50/50 due to her time in both Korea and Peru

I do go to other cities to interview people as well
She definitely has very similar facial structure with many of my Peruvian and even Bolivian friends. It’s a unique and very distinct facial structure I see from people from that specific region. The people who say she look 100% Korean are tripping, you can definitely tell she’s mixed.
We can see it because we are Hispanic, so we know what features to look for. But everyone else doesn't see them and only sees her Korean features.

My family is from 🇵🇪 and I got to say if I didn’t see the title, yeh I would cause she is just Korean. No matter what, she looks beautiful and she has a great personality. For her to be Half 🇰🇷 and Half 🇵🇪 is very remarkable as not many people have those features. I wish her well.

Originally i thought she doesn't look mixed but after looking at her jawline and face shape i think she does look mixed as korean girls have slightly smaller face/jawline/cheekbone and nose. Her eyes, hair, build and complexion looks korean tho

I visited latin america several time it true what she said its due to ignorance rather than malice. Not to say they are all like that obviously more educated people have better manners generally speaking but overall Latin American society and education level is very poor.

I’ve been following this girl for years and only now I find out she’s half Korean. I thought both of her parents were Korean, and that she was raised in Peru. Don’t get me wrong, I am not disregarding her Hispanic side, but she can easily pass as Korean. I’ve met a lot of half Asian, half Hispanic girls and you can tell they are half Hispanic/not fully Asian. These girls have had more difficulties adjusting to Asian society when they’ve went back home. HannaCoreana fits the Korean beauty standards like a glove, which is why she is perceived positively in Korea.

Korean language sounds funny a bit to me. I just know some words which is shameful becouse I am korean who doesn't know a language his ancestors spoke. Language and it's intonation form behavior and mindset for sure. I feel difference between koreans from Korea and me. But I am feel good that I am korean 😊

Being born in Korea does not make a person Korean. Under Korean law 1 parent MUST be ethnically Korean. A child can have parents that are permanent residents but legally the child is not Korean and in order to remain in Korea the parents must sign a waiver stating the child will never apply for Korean citizenship. That child and parents will never be entitled to any government benefits for the child.
Determining who is Korean in the legal sense is very different from how the average Korean may choose to define who is actually "Korean"

Indigenous Peruvians are short, dark, and generally not much to look at. This girl's skin tone, height and good looks are tell-tale signs of high concentrations of Euro blood on her 'Peruvian' side.

@@Hanssen36 Some people would have that preference. Being naturally blonde and tall (as in Northern Europe) are two of the most universally desirable attractive traits. An average looking Swede in a non-white country would have a top 0.0001% attraction level. Even in Spain or Turkey it would be top 1%.
