    Tax the poor to “save the planet”. That’s what taxes mean.

      You're not supposed to pay the taxes, you're supposed to avoid making the mess in the first place.
      Besides its not letting you continue to fund pollution is really helping you out. So if you are going to be poor anyway you might as well be useful

    If you put a tax on the worst polluters, then you have to start with the people that travel all over in private jets. Did Elon think of that one

    Having countries and states play “hot potato” at the expense of their people is so disheartening. Taxing corporations should always come with measures to avoid that tax being passed down to consumers.

    The Carbon Tax in Canada has increased the cost of basic living costs considerably. It does nothing to lower CO2 - it is only a tax grab. It affects those living on the financial edge the most. Many or most people cannot change their basic fossil fuel consumption and taxing them is asinine.
