I go through two boxes a week. Four days ago I found 26 40% and 3 90% in the box. It’s also very relaxing.
Pinning this as I get comments from people saying this never happens even though I have found thousands (literally) in the last 5 years, almost all of them while live on this channel.
how many rolls are in a box ?
how much does one box
cost ?
@@solaris70 it's not a cost my friend you're just getting change really. A box of half dollars is 1000 half dollars which is $500. But their face value is $500.
@@solaris70 $500 for 50 rolls however it’s the same as cash in your hand. If there’s nothing, I deposit into my bank and use it to order another box.
Slow down mate. Give us newbies a try.
I used to think people were weird for collecting coins, but now i get it. There's history, uniqueness, and you have an appreciating asset.
If only they could talk... imagine the stories they could tell.
@@SilverSeeker Imagine speaking to a gold doubloon.
@@SilverSeeker then you have people who melt down antique silverware so they get the silver, like barbarians, no love for the history, only pure greed.
@@stefthorman8548 Or is it ignorance in the pursuit of greed?
@@SilverSeeker and if they could talk, I'd wear them in my ears like gauges and talk with them everyday
I live in a rural town where the average age is 72, population 582. I’m go to the bank and find silver coins all day.
Same here but they seem to be disappearing pretty quick and will probably only get more and more harder to find when they throw the CBDC at us soon
Sounds like a dead town
I assure you there’s probably atleast 30 people in your town alone who already do that
In my town theres 100 population no bank no nothing just farms fields and a single power generator💀
@@hellojohny6013where does bro live 💀
Banks have checked for silver for years now. It's extremely rare that they miss any.
well said, then tellers are smart enough to get the silver first and do it legally
i did this today. was only able to get one roll. I was happy to find a 40% half dollar
When I was a paperboy one lady paid me every week in half dollars. It was $2.50 a week and probably 80% of those coins were silver and it was kind of what got me into coins. Sometimes she would pay in silver quarters too. I’m not into it now really but I never got rid of those silver coins. I did that paper route for 3 years so I probably have a nice amount of them.
5 half dollars per week, 156 weeks in 3 years.
780 coins with a 90 percent silver coin containing like $8.80 worth of silver. You may have nearly 7 grand worth of silver, congrats! 🎉
Its too bad all parents of paperboys didnt allow the kids to keep the silver. My husbands Dad was a jerk and made him turn it all in
When I was 10-12 y/o, I was a paperboy, too. One time, a lady paid me with old $2 bills. I still have them 38 years later.
I hit the jackpot at the local bank on a Saturday I asked for four rolls of three were personally rolled and one was bankrolled the three non bankrolled had 35 90 percenters and 12 40% in it I assume one of the tellers was holding it for themselves but weren't working that day so my $40 investment had $400 in silver
True. Once in a while, you will find a silver dump. My best so far is I got 14 rolls of customer wrapped halves at a local bank. In 5 of those rolls, I got 78 40% halves & 8 90% halves.
that made no sense
Now HOW do you sell it?? or get the money... eBay: you have to wait and be lucky??
Better to sell it a local coin shop beats taking 13% of all sales .. Local coin shop will give you around melt price right now
Depends on the area I guess. I work as a teller and after going through around $1500 worth of dimes in less than 2 months I’ve found 8 silver dimes. I’ll keep looking in my down time at work but unfortunately it’s not as easy as it use to be
Is there a good /pleasant way to present a question to a teller ? I mean do I come right out and say ‘I’m looking for pre 1965 dimes, quarters and halves” without them thinking (hmm what’s going on here?)
Any help for this new 90% stacker. Thanks.

Awesome move letting us know that you set the roll up as an example. Thank you for that
Never hunted for coins before. Next time I'm at the bank, I'm getting a few rolls of these to look for silver. This vid convinced me to try.
any luck?
To many people have caught on near me i can barely get $100 every week.😅
How many rolles would you estimate you go through a week?
@@sandiago7564I only get about 10 rolls per week so if you can get a box your better off. But some are new so check your rolls even the new 2021 halves are selling for 3-4$ a PC. So dont open brand new rolls.
And the best way I've found to not aggravate the bank is just save everything that is not silver for savings.
@sandiago7564
They just said about 10...
Great tip! I never thought of that.
The city and surrounding area of 50+ miles from where I live no longer have unsorted coins. Every box is pre sorted out for silver now. The armored transport company sorts them out as well. Local banks will say the same ,plus 1/2 dollar boxs now say presorted no silver. I still tried a few boxs. They were telling the truth . Those days are gone in my city of 500k + ppl.
I absolutely believe it now considering I’ve spend hundreds on half dollars to not even find 1
@@brokinglet5483 Bank tellers also inspect the coins as well
eventually it will be like that everywhere. Thats why i try to get 2000.00 every weekend when i go to the bank to make deposits
or youre just saying that so people dont bother
@@newbleppmore7855 just sharing my experiences,/ truth. The boxs in my city literally say pre-sorted silver on the out side of each box. I didn't belive the bank tellers when they said there are no more silver halves.. so I ordered 2 boxs. Turns out she was right. I've tried a few more times just to make sure. Nothing but a bunch of bi centennials or some toned looking non silver halves. Nothing silver unfortunately. Others may have luck but I have yet to find one silver half in a box. Good luck out there.
Instructions unclear, Now in Federal prison
People are happy to pay the metal price for the coin, without having to melt it, because the silver will remain silver. Long after America is no longer a thing.
90% silver coins still worth more without melting them down.
I didn't even know Banks had half dollar rolls
Good way to word this Silver Seeker! Some people still don't know of coin hunting👍
I'm an Australian and got given a box full of US silver dollars that an old man I use to help look after left me.
You have to spend or buy a lot of rolls. I’ve spent $1500 in the last year and got nothing in silver. Pretty much cleaned out over the years. I guess it depends where you live.
Went through thousands of coins so far, found only a War Nickel and Dime :L
I dont search Nickels and Dimes, or quarters. I stick to halves
@@SilverSeeker Is there a better chance with half's? I might have to give it another go :P
@@Crimin4L Without a doubt yes, especially since you have both the 90% as well as those 40% ones.
Plus when it comes to nickels and dimes, I would only go through them if you're trying to find varieties or finish a set. Even if you find silver, it's not going to be that much compared to a half dollar.
@@Crimin4L Yes, Dimes and Quarters don't have the 40% from 1965 to 1970 to look for. There are WAY more of those than there are 90% halves.
@@SilverSeeker went to my local bank got 5 rolls of half and ended up with four rolls of silver.
I've gone through about $10k of quarters, halves, and dollars this year. I haven't found even a single silver coin. Not one. I did find a number of S minted Kennedy cupronickel proofs with dates ranging from '73 to '17. No silver. Just a bunch of Ike dollars and worthless cupro coins. It's getting super rare.
He ain't kidding. I have a working relationship with three tellers who save all the rolls of half dollars they get for me to check out. I work in a restaurant and I get coupons for free food items all the time so I pass them along to those tellers. Bank policy is to treat all coins the same so the tellers can't go through the coins like a customer can. I average $200 in rolls a week and I average 5-10 silver halves a week. I've been doing this for 30 years and have accumulated over 10,000 silver halves. Believe it or not I get roughly halve as many silver halves today as I did 30 years ago. One would think they'd all be gone by now but our population is ignorant of the value of coins. I also do other denominations of coins but halves are my favorite. And a lot of people really love getting them in change. I pay for my groceries with them. The only person who hates when I pay them in halves is my landlord. Fun fact, you will get far more silver halves in a roll than you will get quarters and dimes though I got a silver quarter a couple of weeks ago in my change. My favorite visit to the bank was the day I got seven rolls of mint Franklin halve with mixed dates. The paper that rolled them looked very old so I think it was someone's coin stash perhaps from 60 years ago.
The odds of finding silver coins in coin rolls these days are extremely rare....
it's getting harder to find silver coin roll hunting because more and more people are interested in it everyday that goes by. You still can find it though. you just have to be patient and run bigger numbers
I love the sound of a handful of silver coins.
The trouble is loads of people are doing it now, so finding silver coins is getting harder,
Exactly. If I started doing this in the 70s, I'd have a crapload of silver coins by now
@@joelnordstrom8049And silver went up in price in the late 1970s too. I wonder if anybody coin rolled hunt then. I wish I had.
Gonna start a silver CZcams channel here soon, I’m just building up my stack! Been completely praying to win the chest haha!
Then all the best to you!
Cool al ask them next time if they have rolls and hunt for some 🥈
Thanks for the tip!
A part of collecting coins I love is to watch them age.
I’ve got a 1956 Kennedy I found at work!
NO Such Thing...
Bro found a real life money duplication glitch😂 ima try this
Bank tellers across the country flabbergasted at why people take out coins, and then bring them right back the next day...
Bro is opening them like pokemon cards😂
Whatever you're smoking, it must be some pretty good stuff. Thatwalker half-dollar you're showing is currently worth $8.37 melt.
Welcome to the world of premiums my friend... LOL! If you can get one for melt, please let me know where so I can buy them all.
Those gloves make videos 10x cooler for sure.
I like looking at coins just for their picture and design :)
That's awesome, it's like gambling but u can't lose u can only break even or gain money.
I would have to actually order, and pay a premium on a box of half dollar rolls from my bank.
Not sure if this is a Germany thing, but I can’t go to my bank and have them take back the coins. They will charge 1-5% to take them.
Omg! I have that Kennedy coin also I just checked and it’s silver! Nice!
Alrighty, great idea. I'll try it!
I tried this one summer about 5 years ago, 1 box at a time (cause that's all I could afford) 10 boxes over the 4 months unfortunately didn't find any silver 😕 I was gonna continue, but my drop bank got upset with having to pour them in the counting machine (is my guess) and strongly suggested I close my account and moved elsewhere 🙃 that upset me so I spent the halfs on gas, groceries, bills and such. (Which was a fun experience) I know their out there cause I watch you, Madd, Rob, Nubbz, Half Dollar, 2PAC and countless other's. My going theory is in really big cities such as the Portland metropolitan area the warehouse has gone through and sold all the silver out or the turnaround on newer coins is so quick you never see the older boxes, but what do I know, I'm a conspiracy theorist at heart and can not be trusted according to the general public at large. Guess my question would be is there anything you do that increases your chances of finding them? Maybe you have an insider that knows how to order in such a way to get you more? Grasping at straws I guess, but I'm sure you can understand the frustration of these people in comments cause like me we see it done so easily and can never replicate the process for ourselves.
Till next we meet ❤ 🤍 💙 🥃 💀 Sköl
I use a small bank a few miles away. Luckily the coin machine is customer operated and deposits directly into the account. The box orders are on set days and I make sure I work with the tellers so as not to be an aggravation. Most boxes have nothing however in a years time I have found quite a few.
imagine how many people taking their coin to the Fred Meyer
machines
mind boggling amount really
and that's just one department grocery store chain
When you get back into it, find a different bank to use as your dump bank if possible. Ur right. Why should they sell your cases are going to fino you're just going to bring them back for no profit on their side!!!
Did you happen to check for the missing FG errors or save any nice 1990s and newer Not made for circulation strikes? Yes the tellers do get tired hauling the coins in and out like that. The few boxes I've gotten i did similar and used them for tips, gas money and other thing's instead of depositing back which do help with relationships with the tellers
If your bank is ordering rolled coin from a supplier (which they probably are) you're not going to find silver in those rolls. Modern sorting machines reject silver coins so they get sorted out at the rolling facility (Brinks, Dunbar, Shields, etc)
I've been a cashier for about a year and a half, found a few silver quarters, tons of star notes, we do receive rolls of half dollars but I've only found a mint half dollar, a few uncirculated 2002-2020 ones, but no silver walking liberties or franklins.
What a great find 😂. Love the Kennedy one ❤
Im gonna consider doing that
The young folks around the Banks in the far south side of Chicago are hip 2 this. Its so hard to get them now.
A while ago i was getting quarters for work and got 3 rolls of all silver quarters. I of course bought them grom the store.
I have a collection of $.50 coins and I thought that two of them just had their surface break down but now I know it was a different material
I hope you like what you do cuz for most people collecting is profitless.
Now it's hard to get boxes of half dollars from your bank
yet this guy pulls 2 from a single roll
@@elihuvera6179 He literally says in the video that this roll has been set-up.
I've gone through rolls of half dollars in the past but I have found nothing. On the other hand I have known folks who have found silver quarters in rolls. It's all in the luck of the draw!
You have to exercise patience. One CZcamsr "diggin' Dave" got 10 skunk cases in a roll, but he kept plugging away and he finds it on a regular basis
I also 2 weeks later found a 1972 D "NO FG" varuety in AU-55 Grade.
I am from India. My dad collected 30-40 kennedy slivers. Till now I have them in my desk!!
This is cool because you are never really gonna lose any money
I actually notice silver quarters right away ever since my dad said 1964 and older are silver, the sound of silver coins are really obvious to me now
I sadly rarely can find them at the bank because someone always gets there before I do, so now I just order them instead to insure I get some.
Right on man. Great idea
These videos convinced me to try my luck. Went to the bank today and got $20 worth. Found a 40%
They were customer wrapped rolls and have more. I will get some more tomorrow. Cool deal!
That's funny!...ask my bank if they have any rolls of. 50 cent pieces. My bank doesn't carry them.
I was a kid looking through coins in NYCon the 1970's I checked almost every coin I received, and throughout that decade I found exactly zero silver coins in circulation. Wheat penny yield at that time was about 3 per roll.
I found three Kennedy’s in a old house once.
I still have them.
The profit you just made is mind blowing 🤯 📈
This seems like a great hobby! Doesnt take too much time, you can do it every day and its completly free and you can make money of it
I found a 64 Silver coin and it's beautiful
Wow that kennedy one are nice
i have one of those, my dad's friend brought it from the us and we both didn't know it!
Absolutely!!!
Went to 8 banks! They don't have 2 dollar bill, they don't got half dollars, they don't get fresh bills.
got a roll of halves last week
1 - 1965. 3 - 1967.
good roll.
year ago picked up $12.50 in halves got 3 - 1964 and 4 - 40% ers.
very scarce to even get them much less get silvers anymore.
Note half dollars here in LA is hard to get
I love spending the rejects! First crack a roll to check for silver, missing FG errors or the NFC coins. Then i spend the rest. I will sometimes leave a full roll as a tip!
I personally have gone through about 12 rolls and have yet to come across a silver piece. Pretty rare find
Just 12 isn't a good sample size. I used to go through 500 in a single live stream.
@@SilverSeeker oh wow, that is pretty rare.
Not to be cruel at 12 rolls is really nothing if you want to get results. In one case of halves, there's 50 rolls
Not only you can sell them but also they can be put in a benet and turn them into pendants.
I did this years ago, it used to work quite well. I doubt it would given the huge social media exposure around the idea. My bank banned people from getting the $500 boxes anyway.
This happened to me. I bought 300$ in halves and 260$ face, which was 40% kennedys and a 1912 barber ender.
Man, and they're extremely large silver coins too!
I have done this walking the canals of my English city. The silver doesn't corrode too quick at all and shines well from the canalbed - but the silver coins I find are never this massive. After a heavy rain I take a walk and hope it's shifted some from the canalbeds further up, and that they will shine brightly. They do!
I have a Reagan silver half-dollar but I'm in England, I can't easily replace it :( found it in a bag of coins I bought for £5 in Warwick.
every coin in that bag was worth at least a dollar, but it was well before the times you could sell all your coins with ease online.
I did it at the wells Fargo in Edinburg TX the go though the coins before they gave me my $500 order
One time I got a roll of them at the bank and they were all Ben Franklin and walking liberty half dollars, I still have them
I get half dollars in my drawer at work…I will be keeping an eye out for those years now >:)
Love how you call it ‘free’
Fine... 50 cents lol
Those are priceless!!
I usually get a couple of rolls of pennies at the bank and go through them a couple of times per month. Usually a few wheat backs pop out. I also keep the 97% copper (pre 1982) pennies. I'll have to switch to halves, if they have them.
I guess a new hobby to do in my pass time.
The bank hates this man
That first coin looks like the currency that would be used in heaven
Nice
Bank tellers hate this video.
I love that you said till 1970 cause technically the 1970 is 40% but can only be found in mint sets but you could find one in circulation if someone broke open one from 1970. Most people forget that they made them in 40% until 1970
I always think about doing just that but never do.
Wow big money
This is like gambling but you never loose you can only gain what a great way to maybe rehabilitate gambling addiction
Always though the Kennedy half dollars were an old lady 🤣
halves recently have been full of 2023s
Yeah very smart I also knew about this before the video and I also did this and I found a 1965 half dollar 40 percent silver
Looks like I just found a new hobby.
I bet the bank staff love you
They stopped selling them around central Arkansas. The banks don't like you making money off of them. You can still buy quarters and dimes. It takes a lot more of them to add up
Omg i have the 2nd one! 😮
I didn't know we still had half dollars...
Don’t forget about NIFC coins they are worth $3 each
what is that word
?
in all capital letters ..
I was half asleep and heard the ebay cha-ching and thought i made a sale XD
Please make some video on British era Indian coins
