I Tried to SELL $1000 in Junk Silver to Coin Shops... What They Said!

Gotta love the Crown Royal bag! Those things have 1,000,001 uses! 🙌🏾
Mine were used for my sunglass case. 😎
After the silver price crash today shops are going to be even more afraid to pay up. That was some crazy price action today. Yikes!
I like to watch silver prices, however, I don't know exactly what I was watching here. Could you explain in more detail?
Excellent comments and, I agree with you 100 percent. Forget about everybody else, the only thing that really counts is, what you decide to do financially for yourself and your family. Also, wealth even as a certain dollar value in your investment, retirement, and bank accounts is very subjective. Prefer to use the term financially comfortable which, for myself is as follows: I would buy Bitcoin and buy hard assets like gold /silver as a store of value while also actively trading.....managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Kerrie Farrell, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape...
As a beginner, it's essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable...
I appreciate the professionalism and dedication of the team behind Kerrie’s trade signal service...
I've just looked up her full name on my browser and found her webpage without sweat, very much appreciate this...
Investing with an expert is the best strategy for beginners and busy investors, as most failures and losses in investment usually happen when you invest without proper guidance. I'm speaking from experience...
The fact that i got to learn and earn from her program is everything to me think about it, it's a win win for both ways...
Thank you so much for this video. I sent jm bullion 1000 face value at a rate of 18.89. I never called back so fast to cancel. im still new to all this.
So until the market is scalding hot, junk silver really is junk silver. This was very discouraging.
In the end it's just 90% silver. Those offers #5 and #7 were actually as good as I would ever expect
And honestly that's the problem with junks over is 99% of people are just going to look at it for face value.
Not online
Thanks for the 90% calls video. It's much appreciated.
This is the main reason I don't like 90 percent (Even though I have a bunch 🙄) Prices are always all over the place.
Thank you for doing a 90% video!
Thanks for Sharing, Silver Seeker! Great information.
Really find these videos informative in my beginner stacking journey! Thank you!
Wow. I learned a lot in this video
Thanks for sharing
17x face screams "This is my 'I don't want to buy 90%' price."
They want to make money on it and lessen their risk buying high
Slick stuff can be quite a bit lighter, and lemme tell you it adds up. I got stuck with half a roll of very slick SLQ's with a roll I bought from a big bullion seller that I won't name. A quarter weighs 6.25 out of the mint. Now out of 4 rolls I bought half a roll total were down 20% of the original weight. I just ended up refining them myself to take them out of the loop. It's not fair having those things floating around.
Thank you for taking the time. 👍
Thank you ss, very informative 👍👍👍
Thanks Dude! Really appreciate this video
Thank you for all your Time and Info, I learned a lot. Have a Blessed day and don't forget to Enjoy Life. from Bridgeport CT.
Outstanding video. Good information. Great channel. Thank you.
Your yard sale trips are fun to watch. I went to yard sale, my wife wanted $10.00. She purchased a Kirby vacuum with a bunch of extras. Looked up price on the same vac...I almost fainted.
New, they've always been priced astronomically! Electrolux too, back in the day.
I'm thankful I don't need to sell anything now but if I did your call videos make it clear that you need to shop around. Thanks, Seeker!
Another informative vid, thanks Seeker
Thanks for keeping us up to date on the pricing of silver and gold 👍🤷♂️
Love your posts!!! New to stacking and I appreciate your breakdowns.
Excellent research.
Thanks for the great info ...
Junk silver is for bartering, not selling!
As I said in this video... sometimes people have to sell, regardless of whether or not they want to
@@SilverSeeker That is very true. I'm not a huge stacker having only been stacking for about a year. I have adopted the way of thinking that I would buy bullion for potential resale and have been trying to get more junk silver for the bartering use. So far I'm up to about $4.75 in constitutional. Lol I have a looong way to go. I'm just a wee stacker.
Yeah, it was bartered for cash.
@@scottmcneill6333 That's still more than the average guy has walking down the street.
With the big swings going on in silver recently.... these small coin shops are very gun shy about buying silver.
always great info
Thank you, for another good video, we should always call around for the best price whether selling or buying as per your advise.
Great site.
Shops are mostly mom and pops and set prices based off what they have, what they need/their current exposure.
That’s why it’s so important to have at least three local shops.
I’ve personally experienced a $10 premium on an eagle drop to spot as the dealer bought a monster box as I was waiting.
It’s a commodity…
Thanks for all you do Seeker!
Sunday Saudi Arabia is not resigning the treaty to use the dollar as the reserve currency for oil. The days of Good times and noodle salad are probably over.
Wow
That’s not good.
@@MySandstrom crazy nobody is talking about it. It will crash the dollar and shoot prices thru the roof. And added to the trillion in interest accrued every 100 days the US is finished. Prepare accordingly
I love that you dressed to match the bag!!!! Keep the great, very informative videos coming!
Great Info! Thx.
I have 2 local shops and back when eagles were sellimg for $40 they offered me like $23 and they said 16x on 90% i was like yea i think ill keep it
Interesting take on junk but to most folks junk is set aside for barter only. My math is 1 Mercury dime equals 1lb of Bacon.
Sometimes people have to sell my friend, even if they don't want to.
2 lbs of bacon
The farmers will set the price. If they want an oz of gold for a slice of bacon, and are the only ones with it, then that's it lol
When you try to sell silver you get the shaft every time.
They shaft you to buy it too. Everyone gets shafted but them. Just like the car dealers. You lose when you buy and when you sell but they win every time. Same way with the lotto. We all lose except for 1 every time yet every time the government always wins every time. That is no lottery, its a robbery!
What about gold tho..
@@AndrewCummings-do2bz Gold is the same way when you buy you pay a high premium when you sell it it’s below spot price. The whole market is rigged
Good job!!!
Great video! Silver/gold easy to buy, hard to sell if you didn’t patronize the LCS.
I've found private party very easy to sell to.
Yeah, silver, always a disappointment.
Say you bought at $23-$25 spot range a while back. With the premium you paid over spot, and dealers paying back of spot now, what kinda profit is that? Pretty slim unless you bought 100's of ounces.
It's a buyer's market right now that's why... when it flips to a seller's market aka when there's a shortage with more buyers. The premiums will be high when you sell.
Well done AG Seeker... Any words about time and gas to get to that higher paying shop. In Orange County CA there are a few shops, but some miles away. Gotta factor that in . Also I'm realizing I need to think silver rounds and bars more than Eagles. Anyway thanks for keeping us abreast .
Con shops and dealers are the worst, paid 17$ per 90%when silver was at 29$
great show
"I bought the dip!' Without knowing 😂 got an itch and had to swap 200 paper dollars for $8.60 face 90%
This is the true meaning of not putting all of your eggs in the same basket.
To all of You stackers who throw every dime you can get at silver, GET A LIFE AND DIVERSIFY YOUR MONEY!! I love precious metals and I’m not Joe Wallstreet but I am 63 and two years from retiring with a very good income.
Regardless of your age, find a highly rated financial advisor in your area and pay them for an hour of their services just once every 2-3 years. The best may command several hundred dollars per hour but it will be the best investment you’ll ever make.
Wonder what they sell it for
Great video and awesome info. I view constitutional/junk as future barter…keep it separate from the stack but love it. Interesting about the amounts that wholesalers will buy…
Thank you.
😂 I wouldn't doubt it since you've called so many times to these dealers we know nothing about that they recognize its you trying to sell to them and the LCS owners try to troll you with obviously low offers for your precious metals.😂
What I learnt is how wide the spread can be from 1 shop to the next - hence why it pays to shop around.
can u do a video on proof eagles of all 4 by chance? i have a gold eagle 1/10th oz with the book and box and was seein how different shops would buy it or trade it for other stuff.
You have the best most honest stacker videos! Everyone else is buy buy buy no matter the price and many are get rich videos of Silver to $1500?oz etc etc. Gold to $20,000. By 2050 maybe.
Last months job market report was overstated but quietly corrected. Lets see what happens in a couple weeks. I suspect this dip wont last long.
Cool show
Yeah I need to buy some more junk silver.
I need to buy more silver junk
Its very difficult to net better than 75 percent of spot on eBay. Even with better material such as non-slicks Mercury dimes and Walkers. But amazingly, I've noticed that 1964 Kennedys and Washington 25c will often sale better than those two types of coins.
I'm pretty new to buying silver, and so far have only bought .999 rounds. My question- what price would you buy 90% vs .999? As in what ×face would be a better deal than the silver round, to you?
I've just started buying last week, got some more dimes and quarters today.
Maybe buy more with price dip.
I'd sale my 1 oz. coins if needed to sale something quickly.
Last time I was at USA, with My son, I had , cant recall, maybe 6.7 kilos of old silver coins. I paid at least airbnb and taxi or airbnb owner, when he took us back airport. I think there was few places that didnt want old coins
There's local shops in my area that also have CZcams channels that only pay 18x face. A couple of them are big players but that's just the going rate.
Now on the other hand, they are selling at 22x.
So it evens out, I guess.
Who might be in the top 3 wholesalers? Just curious.
Where can you buy at wholesale?
What do coin chops pay for a roll of proof 90% silver Franklin half dollars?
My local coin shop only wants to give around 18 and up on Morgan and Peace dollars which is ridiculous when silver is at 29 something
I'm curious if they would pay more for halves as opposed to dimes.
Shop 2 probably Wichita. I live in Wichita and recently called a shop and they said $17
I'll be honest, I've been buying and holding silver for three decades. In terms of 90% silver, the best return on investment I've determined are the cull Morgan Dollars, (up until a couple years ago you could acquire them really cheap). I've never had an issue reselling culls for above spot price in dire straits.
Thx
That’s interesting. I didn’t know the wholeseller had a minimum limit for sells made by dealers. The $500 or $1000 minimum makes sense.
I traded all of mine for 20x face last Sunday got money and an exceptional bust half dollar ms65. Glad I unloaded when I did cause the price dropped after.
What did you do with that cash?
@@gilldavidmour4199 Bought more coins
I paid $75 for 25 war nickels and one 2006 W slightly impaired burnished silver eagle.
I thought melt was basically spot. What am I missing?
i dont buy junk silver unless i can pick through it. must be vf or better. i get washington quarters.
Paid $30 an ounce for junk today so just a little better than rounds price
Wow I didn’t know Mickey Mouse owned so many coin shops
Big red popup for every call says voice changer enabled my friend...
The shops that sell alot of 90% pay good for 90% depends on the area
I’ll prob never get into the 90%. Seems like too much of a headache and I don’t have the patience. I’ll stick to the .9999 stuff 💯👍🏾
Big city or little town shops?
What's the point of 'stacking' if coin shops decide to low ball all the sellers. Seems hard to come out ahead when the shops charge melt + $3-$5 /ounce when selling and melt MINUS $4-$5/ ounce. when buying. hat spread is $9-or more an ounce.
Not my problem if a coin shop pays super high rent. Haven't found a good coinshop here in Nashville yet...
There is a good dealer, but he is about 2hrs from you in Savannah tn, he put videos here on youtube West tn coin exchange.
@@royboy4199 tu
Unfortunately silver dropped $2 during this video. I heard theres a massive supplus of constitutional silver in dealer hands because of big buy backs. Great video silver seeker. However, best fact in this video was. 500 face sells back to wholesaler and can offer more to ship off and not hold it. Quick flip size is perfect for dealers. The shops you talk to all have different wholesaler pricing so it varies from 1 state to the other.
The wholesaler is one of the bigger ones and serves the entire U.S. but yes there is definitely a surplus.
Is it a good value then to search for and buy worn smooth coins and refine it ourselves?
Possibly? Depends on how worn
A reputable dealer will tell you the spot price, how much they will pay under spot, and how much over spot they will sell at that given moment.
Mostly optimism with silver price for next
Bought a little today. Paid 21.6
I wonder what the 90% “slicked” coins actually weigh. I would assume it would be $1.60 to get to an oz. Losing about 10-15% of the actual weight.
This dude got "Crown Royal" bag full of silver. And I am still better looking than that . . .
Huh?
Yeah my lcs guy probably tapped out and stressing by now haha. I bet hes bought 1 million or more in stuff from people lately and isnt selling much. Maybe ill text him tomorrow and check in
I would buy all the “bad” 90% rather then it get melted.
Im regretting buying 10k in Silver in the past 4 months. What a crappy deal.
I bought in heavily last year at 18-19X Face when silver spot price was $21 or so. NO WAY I'd sell it for that with spot being so high now. My LCS tried selling me slicked quarters last year for 19X Face.... PffffffffT I walked out.
Our local coin shop is selling dimes, quarters half dollars at 20x face.
@@pamelagray4999 I would buy @ 20X....I saw 24X online the other day. Nope!
It's hard to beat trading SLV at the right time.
The liquidity is there.
I few seconds of a Limit Order, and you're out.
Can someone please tell me the wholesaler who’s website he is getting the buy values off is?
I can't... if I did I probably wouldn't be able to continue to get the sheets from my source. You have to log in to get them anyway.
@@SilverSeeker I know it requires a log in, just really want to know which distributor it is.
@cuppacheese sorry my friend... if someone else recognizes it and wants to share more power to them but I was told not to

Did my own calling around on how much my local shops were paying for 90% just out of curiosity. Trying to be like SS
Subscriber here.
YT annoyingly presents your member content and I think unfairly games my attention.
Thank you for clearing that up.
What are you talking about? I upload my content EARLY for channel members, not exclusively. The only content that is members only is behind the scenes content that is generally not something you would find on the channel anyway... example, the last members only vid, like 20 minutes about it was about my car and not relevant to the channel at all.
You are confusing members getting early access with membership being REQUIRED for viewing and that is just not the case. I do hope you see this and respond my friend... even if you don't re-sub at least you would have a better understanding.
Thanks!

@@SilverSeeker sorry, I’ve never seen that before in my YT feed.
@actualsurfer yea I don't know why they show in the feed if you can't watch them but I assure you other than nonsense behind the scenes vids all my content is and will remain for everyone. Basically if the video is done before my scheduled release time I let members see it early and set it to auto release for everyone at the scheduled time.
Thanks for reading and responding my friend I appreciate that.
@@SilverSeeker Sorry SS, YT can be really annoying. I am just trying to work and pass the time and YT tricks me into wasting my time and attention. Very annoying.

@@actualsurfer You rock my friend :)
"our" bag? please. we all know it's your bag of silver, but thanks for letting me look at it. Although after recalculation I'd be all too happy to claim my percentage. send my earnings to PO box 123 fake street.😉
When you get a low ball offer. you should say got a better offer somewhere else. just to see what they say.
See what gets me upset and I think other coin shops do the same if silver is at 21.50 my LCS pays a dollar under I get 20oz think it should be 20.50 oz don't know why lot of older shops do that
I'm confused... are you saying you should be able to buy the Silver for the same the shop does?
