It's unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $30k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Doesn't matter if the economy is misbehaving; great wealth managers will always make returns.

This is a really interesting take on the housing market. People are being impacted by the long-term decline in property prices and the housing market. I recently sold my house in the Sacramento area, and I want to invest my lump-sum profit in the stock market before prices start to rise again. Is now the right moment to buy or not?

There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 and first half of this year with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. In fact, I would never buy unless that was the case. And, you definitely CAN get deals funded, even in this environment. The interest rate environment directly impacts the strategies your employ, that is all. During Covid, the time constraints on a flip were very low, because money was almost free. Has anyone else noticed that when you set a stop loss the market will drop to that loss amount and then instantly rebound? I don't set them anymore, I put alerts on at the amount of the stop loss and it's worked out for me a lot better. I think the machines can see all of the stop loss amounts and will artificially lower the price so they can scoop them all up. Or maybe I'm crazy, who knows.

I think it was Gareth Soloway I heard this from, idea is not to use a stop loss but instead protect yourself by not placing more than 2% of portfolio in a single position. Also when buying, inch your way into the trade. Break up the investment into 6 separate trades and deploy capital over some time, this way if investment initially drops after first trade, you can dollar cost average in at a lower cost over time if you still like the investment.

The pathway to substantial returns doesn't solely rely on stocks with significant movements. Instead, it revolves around effectively managing risk relative to reward. By appropriately sizing your positions and capitalizing on your advantage repeatedly, you can progressively work towards achieving your financial goals. This principle applies across various investment approaches, whether it be long-term investing or day trading.

Over time the "value" will go up and down and if you can't handle movements, you don't belong in individual stocks or even sector ETF's or anything that isn't just the general market and if you really get scared when even those move you don't belong in anything to do with the stock market at all.

Like 30-40% reductions in most cases. They've lost so much value already compared to 2021. It seems so weird to think these REITS are all going down HARD from this point, like Chris is suggesting, and to make it even weirder I'm to believe this REIT drop will occur while simultaneously the fed cuts rates. Every time the fed cuts rates that puts wind in the sails of the REITS, in my simple understanding. Please help, but please don't be an ass - correct me by showing me why this would happen. My biggest advice is to always seek the services of a professional just like I did when I ventured into it for the first time. Big thanks to Mrs Beley Haener. I now make huge profits by weekly through her services while still learning to stand on my own.

I agree that there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such executions are usually carried out by investment experts or advisors with.

I think Canada and UK are going to be in a world of hurt with their rates readjusting but it’s hard for me to believe the US is going to face such correction. 40% of homeowners here have no mortgage, 70% have under 4%, 80% under 5%. Those who bought recently and need to sell are probably going to get hurt, but it’s nothing like 2008. Most refinanced then to get money out and buy things. Most refinanced this time for a lower rate and payment.

High or low? Easy. Houses sell for 130 ounces of gold, bottom is in, 1980, 2011. Houses sell for 500 ounces of gold, even 300 ounces of gold for the new median house? Too expensive over 300 ounces. Measure in gold, not fake IOUs.

Exactly. Historically 200 oz or under is a decent price for a nice house

We have had massive immigration in Canada. Housing shortage has been a major concern. Perhaps every mom and pop getting into real estate rental business is the problem?

Dear Chris, you've been seeing, and dramatically warning us about, a downturn for years. It's getting old. One day we will get to where we are heading, but that doesn't mean that you have been right all along. Sorry.

Ive seen all his interviews and he has always been bullish on the stock market short term and said he would sell his positions once he sees the signs of the market turning bearish, which he expected to have already happened but he is still correct in being long until now

I’m in the uk. My 5 year mortgage is coming to a close in a month. I used to pay 4.25% capital plus interest. It’s jumping to 10%. I can’t charge my tenant double the rent. No one is buying. I’m scwoowd.
