Today’s episode of Coffee Walk started out as one of the most rollercoaster buys that my team and I have been on in a long time. After a little… well, breaking and entering (you gotta see it to believe it) we were able to save a Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler and then cap off the day with the ultimate hamburger and fried bologna sandwich at Maple & Motor in Dallas, Texas.

I've worked my ass off my entire life and at no point had a boss even close to Dennis I hope these guys know how lucky they are and how rare he is.

I agree. I work my ass off, and carry the load where I work, and the boss is still constantly on me. I just blow him off, I know my worth. I plan to leave soon. It's not hard to treat people with respect. More people should be like Dennis.

Brave Sir Dennis recued the Scrambler from the dark dungeon of Paradise Castle, where it otherwise would have chilled by the pool and honed its putting game.
Yet another place I need to try for lunch one of these days. Wicked funny waiting up Cooper. LOL Look forward to seeing what becomes of the 82 Scrambler.

Unfortunately she just passed away June 28th and there were several of her recipes that were beyond wonderful and I was in the process of trying to get her to write them down for me but then she took that damn Moderna shot and it ended life as I had always known it.

I don't know........I say give the kid a break. It's summer time. Probably stayed up late gaming with friends. Who knows. Seems like an alright kid to me. And it wouldn't be the first time someone bought a failed father son project because a father was more enthused about it than the son. You know, dad trying to relive his glory days with the vehicle he had or always wanted. And it's usually after the teardown is done and they get into the reassembly and the real time commitment, and more importantly $$$$$$$$, begin to add-up; is when they call it quits and liquidate.
Up all night on video games. My son does the same although makes it in to work or college everyday.

None of you condemning the kid know the first thing about him. How do you he didn’t work a midnight shift or was up all getting things ready for college. It’s Summer he’s a young just because you grew up different it doesn’t give you the right to pass judgement. You all are just jealous that the kid’s dad was successful in life so to make you feel better about your shitty life you jump on the computer and tear someone else down.
Kudos to Cooper for taking that so well! I definitely would have freaked out if some stranger (Dennis Collins or not) came into my house and woke me up like that regardless if my Dad told him to or not. Not saying I’d be right I just know how I am especially when woken up.

I’m crying, watching this episode. I used to own one exactly like this until 1999. Mine was a black Laredo Scrambler. I sold mine before the prices shot up, $2700. If I had the money I’d love to buy that Jeep! It was one of those times in life, money got tight and something had to go. I miss driving it with the top and doors off and the bikini top on. I drove it like that all summer.
These shows always make me feel better about my messy garage.

I remember when the Scramber came to the market, I thought they were pretty cool, I was 32 and taking care of the family got in the way of buying one. Would love to have one even now!

I bought a 1982 Hawk. Did frame off restoration. Camel paint. They had after market plane white rims oversized tires all terrain tires. Seats were shot from setting in weather for five years in pasture. Took seats from brand new Ford cab plus ranger bucket seats and bench which fit perfect all bolt holes . Paint job from factory was still decent. I painted the rims chocolate along with pin stripping to match seats. Bought three tops and four doors. Bikini top and doors and a hard top with doors also a full soft top . Rebuilt motor and replaced carb with all terrain carb. Loved that CJ HAWK. SEMPER FIDELIS

For being woke up by a strange man in his home, Cooper was an amazingly good sport and got paid for his troubles. One of the funniest episodes yet. The food looked really good. I must agree with everyone here and say Dennis looks to be one of the best bosses ever.
But all we got to see was a fried bologna sandwich cut in half this time. They didn’t even show a burger and it’s sposed to be the best burger in Dallas......Hhhmmmmm?

Late to the party. I grew up in Virginia near Norfolk, hushpuppies and fried bologna sandwiches are mainstay of diet. With exception to all the wonderful seafood like soft shell crab,umbrella I'm getting hungry.

Your going to pick up a vehicle that you know is in pieces yet don’t have enough patience to wait around 10 minutes to figure out what’s going on and are gonna get pissy and leave thinking your gonna show him! It’s no skin off the sellers back, he’ll sell it to the next one of a hundred guys standing in line to buy that Jeep. If it were a dodge truck, or a camaro or mustang then I may agree with ya some but these are getting close to impossible to find, especially in this condition, and in triple factory black, so for that gentlemen, you take a chill pill and deal with it! You knew it was gonna take a few hours to load anyhows so just go with the flow!!!

Dennis is a cool cool dude. This shows that even people with money have to face some odd situations. The ambient was very tense, regardless he kept his cool.
