You're right about kubey detents. My Royal has my favorite detent out of all my knives.
Kubey and Kizer are just crushing the game. They both have so many I want.
I have both premium and G10 versions of the Atlas and the Monsterdog...beautiful knives. One thing to mention is that the G10 Atlas is slightly smaller than the premium version.
Kubey and Twosun are brands that I could make a whole collection of and never get board. Just so many great options and price/quality levels.

Honestly, same. If I was only legally permitted to own TwoSuns and Kubeys, I would never be bored or lacking for wishlist knives.
I was super excited about the Atlas but went through two of them and both had separate issues. Perfect detents though.
First one, my clip was just like yours, lifting up in the front. Seemed like an easy tighten would fix that, but the screw just wouldn't engage the liner. So I swapped screws since the other one is longer, but it wouldn't thread smoothly all the way in. The show side liner was fine though. I had to return it.
Second one, no clip issue, but one that was worse. The blade would hit the standoff when closing, causing a chip on the edge. Could be sharpened out to where it wouldn't be an issue, but not acceptable on a brand new knife. If you look at WMKs site, you'll see it for sale as a return with the issue described if anyone feels like sharpening the chip out!

I live the momentum ,its my favorite fidget knife.
I have a Momentum and love it! Cuts like a dream and is super easy to sharpen freehand and with a DMT coarse plate and Venev finer grit stone. Not sure of the grits on the Venev but the combination works good. I have also gone to a fine grit DMT diamond plate after getting a burr with a coarse plate. Both are good and I don’t go for a super smooth edge, just a good apex with just enough stropping to remove the last of the burr/micro burr. I have been learning a whole lot from you, Jerad!! You’re young enough to be my son but when it comes to knives and sharpening you’re the man!! Btw, I’m joining the Bang Gang group this week and can’t wait!!!

I like em all but if I had to pick one it would be the Hyde.
Im still waiting on two knives from the USA months down the line and still got bugger all. $20 says they are in Australia but with the way are post works it could be 2025 Christmas when I get em. I guess I will have to buy a knife to replace the other two that may or may not turn up.

Kubey had been hitting it out of the park with their new designs. The move to 14C28N is something I hope they start using on all their knives going forward. I definatly prefer a knife that has either a straight or downward pointing tip especially for EDC. Their overall build quality is great along with the price for what you get. Thanks for the great vid Jerad and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

Well I got my spyderco shaman green micarta today feeling pretty good about it.
If I weren't done with D2 I'd be all over the Momentum. Being Kubey it is bound to show up in other steels.
I have the full ti version of this. It’s such a great knife to fidget and is actually very ergonomic. Is stout and ready for work yet looks super interesting with a top notch action and detent

Do you have videos on how to tune a détente lighter? I have a Boker that is so tight that I can’t even use the finger hole to open on either side. I’ve taken it apart but I don’t know how much adjusting I can get away with. I think it’s the liner lock that’s bent too far in. I’ve been hesitant to mess with it too much without some advice.
Haven’t heard too many people complain about a hole being too tight until you talked about that Kubey Hyde lol
Kubey has been making some nice stuff, I'm surprised company haven't tried to use them as a OEM.
Definitely, I think both them and qsp should get more action. Underrated manufacturers for sure.

I think kubey does a better job then civivi under 50 bucks. Feel way more solid in hand and action is much better from my experience. I just bought the kubey 331 last week. Man what I knife for 40 bucks. I think it may be the best knife under 50 bucks.

It seems that Sandvik steel has come back big time :) It switched places with D2 which was considered to be superior before. Now the roles have changes.

yea man I got that budget atlas cause I loves the premium version so much but my detents lilnweak I made it bit better but not quite where is like it but it's still good and it's a bit smaller than the premium one.....
The momentum is a fidget tool.

I had a chance to buy the full ti atlas brand new for $150. Not sure why I didn’t. Definitely regret that.
Jerad does Kubey make a button lock? I know some people are getting tired of button locks not me because I'm having problems with my hands as I get older I'm a 1970 model and I've beat my hands to hell! I've broke several bones from being stupid fighting and shit! Great vid bro👍✌

Hey Jared , you couldn’t be more spot on with that Momentum,that is my favorite knife to fidget with right now and I typically don’t like front flippers ,the action is insane , 14c28n would have been sweet , I would have paid more if they had it
Yeah and the cost would Definitely go up a little but I agree, they have also been using s30v which also doesn't sound bad
