I think that in the end Murad died peacefully, having his mother, his greatest admiration and love, beside him. Having forgiven her, he found out how much she loved him and how much he loved her. He dies in his bed, his palace, from a disease. Respected and loved by people. He dies a Sultan. And goes to history. Im glad that they at least had given him an end like that...

It's funny how circumstances changes a person. Remember how she took revenge for the death of her step son? How she loved all the kids equally? I don't think she wanted power, but that she was forced to watch as Osman f up so much that she was terrified of letting go. In the case of Ibrahim there was no other choice he was unstable, if he hadn't been executed there would have been a rebellion.

They are just too precious and this scene is perfection! I melt when I see how they look at each other 😍💕
Kösem’s sacrifice here speaks to me so much more than when as very young girl she made the stupid witch deal that doomed her and everyone (including Ahmed) to save Ahmed’s life… now she’s not a young girl caught in rush of first, young love, but an adult, mature woman, with so many responsibilities, duties and experience.. so much at stake and she still risks her life and reputation to save him, as he had earlier done for her. This is true love 👌💗🥰

They are so awesome, they are literally speaking with their eyes and understand each other perfectly, even without words. True soulmates 💕🥰. There are two types of people - Kösem saves her beloved when risking everything, while Mu rat tried to kill Farya only to put blame on her for his kids’ death…They are very different people. And Kösem chose to love this man freely, despite it being such a forbidden and dangerous thing, not like with Ahmed when she was manipulated, pushed by everyone and Stockholm syndromed into it. Hands down the best and most epic couple of the whole show 💕

@@fatjonahaka6509 No, Kosem sultana was freed by Sultan Ahmed. In that era no sultan could marry a concubine. So in order to marry a concubine or slave , he had to free her first ( what exactly Sultan Suleiman did and then got married to Hurrem sultana ) .
But I think the reason that why Kosem sultana didn't or couldn't remarry is because she was a Valide sultana (queen mother) , and a Valide sultana (and not only Valide sultana, a queen means a Sultan's wife was not allowed to do that) couldn't remarry or be in a relationship. That was forbidden by the law at that time.

Kosem just kept her promise to Ahmed. Ahmed wants kosem to protect the ottoman dyanasty, but because Murad is angry sultan Kosem can't control him. Therefore, she doesn't have any choice but to poisoned her son which Murad to continued the dynasty. The couple wanted to stop the traditional way of killing your own brothers, however, Osama disobeyed it. In order to protect this dynasty, she must poison Murad because of wanting to kill the last dynasty of ottoman.

I'm not a fan of the version of Kosem in the second season. The one in the first season played by Beren was much better. This one's power hungry. She made Sultan Murad not the man he's supposed to be. She turned him into a beast. I do like Nurgul because I'm acquainted with her from Gulperi. A woman with great acting skills. A true Turkish beauty.

This was the result of such a huge screw up of Kosëm's (at least in this TV show)....
The Persian (I can't remember how to spell his name; therefore, just for the purpose of my comment I'm calling him "The Persian") when he was first brought to the Capital the very first thing he did was go (alone) and prostrate himself before Kosëm (no other did such a thing) and told her how he wished to be her servant and to have the pleasure of confirming her great beauty and power and that he was hers to command (not the exact words but you get the idea of it) and what did she do? She screwed up, she wasn't thinking as a leader who gains resources, instead she chose to allow pettiness to take over... She told him she didn't care because he was a Persian which immediately makes him her enemy, insult him and told him to leave her presence.
For an intelligent woman that was beyond stupid... He could have been an EXCELLENT resource and servant, not just in the palace but possibly in his Homeland as well.
I know it's just for drama but that scene was just so out of character.

current eu source murad tried get control on throne 1626/1628- source says that kosem tried married her daughter fatma to hafiz ahmed pasha but he didn´t allowed. for ahmed pasha was married ayse.
according to these current eu source between 1626-1632 started power struggle between murad and murad´s mother kosem.
and it started dead by musa celebi- in january 1632 was executed musa celebi one of favorit murad IV- and it started- 18 May 1632 - execution of Topal Recep Paşa: husband of Gevherhan Sultan, her brother Murad IV had distrusted him since the disorders that brought the assassination of Musa Çelebi. The Commander of the Janissaries, who had remained loyal to the Sultan, informed Murad IV of the role of Recep Paşa in the March rebellion, when the insurgents had considered dethroning the Sultan for his younger brother Bayezid. The Paşa, now Grand Vizier, was summoned to Topkapi Palace on 18 May and was strangled on the spot. Topal Recep Paşa and Gevherhan Sultan had a daughter together, Safiye Hanımsultan.
according to manuscript when was murad on thre days hunting riots in the palace began. also manuscript says that orcan/orhan who was by ambassadors mention like son kosem and own brother murad IV. was orkhan surname for beyazid. murad let january 1635 executed two of his own brothers.
this situation also discribe by alderson says that afther executed his grand vezir topal pasa murad let exeuted two of his brother.
source says that afther musa celebi started fight between power of murad vs power of kosem sultan. murad want rule but kosem want rule too. because of theyre power struggle started began died innocent people. musa celebi, and murad grand vezir- husbands his sisters gevherhan, fatma, ayse.
in 1632 topal tried get on throne orkhan - beyazid one of son kosem sultan. afther executed his grand vezir. topal pasha, husein pasa.... 1632 he let in 1635 executed two his own brothers to prevented a coup in the palace. he also started be cruel. to keep people silence. also in this time started murad drunk lot of. souce says that murad died on liver cirrhosis according to source people suffering by cirrhosis liver died without treatment to the ten years. 1640-10=murad must started drunk in 1630 it is possible that afther musas celebi dead he started drinking more......
so in nushle yeah gevherhan was own daugher of kosem- manuscript says that beyazid was son kosem and own brother of murad IV. ambassadors marked bayezid as orhan or ocan- and manuscript says that orkhan was beyazid.
what source says - in power struggle between kosem and her son murad IV, grand vezir kosem topal pasha tried in 1632 put on throne beyazid, when kosem relazied that she cannost control her own son-murad , so she replaced to him- murad´s own brother(because if beyazid wasn´t kosem son I doupt it that she tried deposed her own son and gave preference to her step)because of this failure murad let executed grand vezir´s her own mother, in 1635 infront of kampain let murad executed three of his brother (eldest then him self) to prevented a coup in the palace.
what is intersting- historian tezcan also says that mahfiruz cannot be beyazid´s mother because mahfiruz died 1608-1610 while beyazid was born 1612 while another source was born 1609.anyway source says that beyazid cannot be son mahfiruz he was born when mahfiruz was alredy dead on the other hand manuscript and ambassadors says that in 1635 let murad executed his own brother orkhan-beyazid when his mother tried to replaced to him when kosem´s started realized than she cannot control her own son murad.

People think Murad IV was a great Sultan. Indeed, he did reconquer Baghdad. However, immediately after his death, an Ottoman army of 80,000 able-bodied men was disastrously defeated by 5,000 Cossacks defending the newly occupied city of Azov. Such a catastrophic and humiliating defeat showed that the Ottoman Empire under Murad IV was much weaker than people could imagine.
