Great review once again. I'm actually in the process of buying my first fish finder so would love to get the DeeperPro+ 2, it's one of the ones I was looking at, especially since my kids love the looks of it. I'd definitely use it ice fishing for pike, perch and walleye, as well as in the summer where I'd add brook and lake trout, and bass. The kayak attachment is definitely something I'd be getting as well since I use it for many of my open water fishing adventures.

Great review of a great product! Been looking at getting a Deeper sonar of some sort for the ice fishing season (using the Tough Country discount of course), but lost wages from the pandemic affected that plan. As a shore angler in Ottawa/Gatineau during the regular season, this would be a great tool to map out depths and help determine the best strategies for targeting fish! And of course this is a huge help on the hardwater, the flasher feature specifically! Appreciate the consideration, love the content and can’t wait to see what you post next!

I liked how the review highlighted how versatile this finder is. It is appealing to me how easy it would be to transfer between my kayak, small aluminum boat or hoping around from shore. Especially for mapping smaller lakes up here in northern Ontario without charting.

Would love to have this! My birthday is April 15th, I have looked at these but couldn't afford it. And would love to enhance my son's fishing experiences by being able to put us on the fish. Nice going out either way, but 2 hours in a boat with no action doesn't make him wanna go out as much the next time.
Hey, this is one very nice fish finder. I would use this while out on the boat or while I'm fishing on the bank. Either way I'll be using it anytime I fish!

Nice review this fish finder would be so useful to me since I’ve been ice fishing blind this past ice fishing season and it been tough but I’d also use on a kayak/canoe for mapping and checking depth

Hi Tough Country. I’ve been enjoying your Ottawa area fishing content for the last year or so. My kids and I would really enjoy a deeper 2 sonar ball to up our fishing game on ice and open water. Whether it’s crappie, walleye or perch, this device would really help us find and catch our target species. Keep up the great videos!

Video was very straightforward and informative I appreciate it! I have recently started fishing ever since March 2020 and fell in love. Being a rookie in the game I haven’t had the best of luck fishing. Who am I kidding fishing the bow river in Calgary IS NOT EASY. This would make my fishing adventures much more fun and help me find all the best fishing holes :)

Tough country sweet review on the deeper fish finder I love to have one for kayak fishing in on the hard to get to lakes and ponds definitely a great finder for it packability and weight. BTW love the content keep up the great work🤟 🐟🎣

Thanks for the insights that you have provided about the fish finder. I would have a lot of uses for the fish finder, whether I'm wade/shore fishing or kayak fishing. I can plot and record the depths of the bodies of water that I have fished and be able to transcribe the type of conditions I was encountering during my fishing trip.

I have been watching you use these Deeper FF's and I LOVE them. I actually have a tablet like the one you use and it would be great for this setup. I plan on getting a fishing Kyak this year and a Deeper would be a sick part of that setup! I have my fingers crossed :)..great vid btw
I've been using the Pro+ for years. Love it. Portable, functional and my only complaint other than the usual wifi issues that come with almost any wirelessly connected device is battery life! If this one truly lasts 9 hours, then it would replace the two Pro+ that I currently use in rotation during long days in the bush on back lakes.
I have used the Pro+ 2 for 4 hours on the ice and maybe used 40% of its battery life!!

That is one nice fishfinder. I would have a lot of use for that ol' thing, I'm sure. Being able to make my own mapping would be INSANE and very, very useful. My fav shore-fishing walleye spot doesn't have any good mapping and I've been dying to figure out some of the structure and accurate depths to enhance my knowledge of the spot. And of course it would be great to hook up to my friend's old tinny and to use ice fishing. It seems we're always all fighting over who gets our current Garmin striker 4.... lol. The deeper would 4 sure up our game. All things aside though, props to you for doing this giveaway.

Def would be using it to bring my son fishing, since we dont have a boat, it would be the perfect device to map bottom and find fish
I've been looking at castable sonars for awhile and couldn't decide whether to go with the Garmin Striker Cast or the Deeper Pro+. Came across Tough Country videos and I'm definitely gonna go with the Deeper Pro+ 2 now. The ice fishing applications and 3 beam sonar, along with the mapping for shore fishing really sold me on it. I fish off shore, also guide, or in my buddys boat as we constantly have little tournaments when we go out. This little gem would help me get the upper advantages when out. Especially with the mini 5$ challenges
Quality information as always, I would use the deeper fish finder with my little guy on some smaller lakes up north. He’s gone buck wild for fishing and hunting and he’s only 5.

Very thorough review video. Great job encompassing all the neat features the deeper sonar has. I'd love to win one and use it for bass fishing or trout fishing. Sometimes it gets difficult locating where the fish are especially when fishing a new area

is the case floating too? if i drop it in the water?
We have tested this and it does float but it will eventually sink once the water soaks in. But should give you enough time to retrieve it. We only tested it for 10 seconds or so.
How do you get the split screen so it shows the flasher and the graph mine looks way diff than any of the videos I’ve seen on CZcams I have the deeper app idk what I’m doin wrong
When you select ice fishing mode while connecting to the unit it should give you that split screen look that you are talking about!
