    The Deeper opened up whole new worlds for me. When I go fishing now I find I'm more focused on mapping than fishing! I'm surprised you didn't even show the mapping side of things. That tip about getting a cheap phone just for the Deeper was pure gold. I can't believe I never thought of that! I like to stay out all day on the water and the problem I run into is with my phone batteries. I bought a battery bank but it gives me nothing but problems. Having a spare phone would save me a lot of grief!

      @jasonm1884 Thank you for watching! You are right, I forgot all about the mapping feature! I've never used that feature, so it just totally went past me. Yeah, definitely get a dedicated phone for the Deeper...so much better than using your daily phone. I'm not sure I would love the Deeper the same if I had to use my actual phone. I'd probably do it, but would be wishing for a better option. Thanks again and tight lines my friend!

      Good tip about the spare phone. like to have the speed for trolling available so I’m not sure this feature would work with a spare phone without GPS.

    Cool little deal there, i see alot of pros there especially for the small craft user. Not dealing with wiring and all. Since buying my Striker 4 numerous years ago and last year buying a Striker Vivid 7 for my 2nd boat. Had i known about this i might have went for it. Great review!

      Thank you @monzsterman! Had I not gone with the Deeper Pro, I would have gone with the Garmin Striker 4 myself. But the freedom from wiring and the ability to take it from one boat to another sold me. Tight lines friend!

    I’ve had a deeper pro for 5yrs or so and love it.
    Pro tip: Buy an rc boat and use it to pull the sonar around the pond! Makes recon a breeze..

    Hecknyeah! Thanks for the video, a lot of features that little guy has! Do you think I could just hang it over the side of my kayak, say on a lanyard? Tow it along with me instead of using an arm fixture.

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  Před 8 měsíci +2

      @DGFishinAround you bet. In fact, that's what I did the first couple of times I used it waiting for the arm to arrive. It even comes with a lanyard for securing it to the boat. The downside to using it that way is you don't get good readings while you're on the move because the sonar portion of the transducer is facing towards the rear at an angle since you are pulling in through the water. Thanks for watching and commenting my man! How's the journey?

    Is that the deeper brand mount. Trying to make sure it comes able to mount to kayak track and not just a clamp?

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  Před 7 měsíci

      @nickhebert1499 Yes it is. They don't do a good job of showing or explaining, but it has the t-bolt already in the end that allows for track mounting. I'm not sure why they focus so much on the clamp...but it does come track ready. Thanks for watching and commenting!!!! Appreciate you.

    Can you hook up two phones at the same time to it so if you have a second person fishing with you they don’t have to ask you every 2 seconds how deep is it what the water temp now!!

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  Před 5 měsíci

      Hahahaha sounds like you've been in that situation before 😂 I've never tried that before but I would think so, because all you have to do is have the app and then connect to the transducer via the WiFi. I've got two old phones that have the Deeper app, next time I go out, I'll connect both and find out. Thank you for watching and that's a great question!! I appreciate you.

    Will the maps save in the app, so you can log into your account from different phones?

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  Před 5 měsíci +1

      You know, I honestly don't know. I never mark or save any mapping. One would assume that since it saves in the app that you could access it from any device. I'm down with the flu right now so I'm not sure when I'll get back on the water to test.

    How do you know the direction of where the fish is

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  Před 3 měsíci

      That device is a down scan and you can adjust the width of the cone. So most everything I see is directly under the sonar to about 15' to the side. Thank you for watching and commenting!

    Do you know if more than one phone can be connected to this at a time?

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  Před měsícem +1

      @BHicklin15 Unfortunately it will not work with 2 phones. I tried that as an experiment so that each person on a boat would have the same information. When you try to connect a 2nd device, the screen will display a message telling you that you are already connected on another device. Thank you for watching and commenting! Tight lines!!

      @@yakkittymack that's too bad, would be really cool in my 2 person canoe. Thanks for making this video, its one of the only ones on this product that isn't sponsored, so I feel its the most honest one out there.

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  Před měsícem +1

      @@BHicklin15it really is a great little device for a small boat or kayak. I installed a Garmin on my kayak, so I now use the Deeper unit exclusively on the Bass Raider. You'll get about 6 1/2 to 7 hours on a charge and the sonar device actually charges back up pretty quick. So if you were going to be anchored somewhere for an hour or so, you could get a good charge from a portable battery. They just sent me an email a couple of days ago and they are running a special on it currently. I didn't check to see what model. I appreciate you watching. I think highly of the unit and I think it would work great on a canoe. But only one person would have access to see the output. Be safe and take care!

    HELLO SIR, REALLY LOVE THIS PRODUCT... WHERE CAN I FIND THE ATTACHMENT ARM???

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  Před 3 měsíci

      @MrShon-40 thank you for watching the video. It's a good little device, but in full disclosure I have started having an issue where it gives me funky readings. Not all the time, but occasionally. I've reached out to Deeper to discuss what might be causing the issue. I've attached a link where you can find the mounting arm.

      @@yakkittymack So would you not recommend the device now?

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  Před 3 měsíci

      @@MrShon-40yes I would still recommend, it's a good alternative to traditional sonar and I plan to continue using it on my Bass Raider. Is it as good as a traditional unit like the Garmin Striker 4? No. The Garmin is better. But it's still a good device and it has a long warranty.
