  • This video is a tutorial on how to use the Deeper fish finder app. Although I am using the Deeper Chirp+ 2 this Deeper tutorial should be useful to anybody using the app in conjunction with any Deeper fish finder, or smart sonar. This video is mostly focussed on the operation on the app and it's settings. I hope to make a seperate video on connection the deeper fish finder for the first time in the near future.

      Thanks Dave. Just a tip for you when you get it.
      *Download the fishdeeper app, then close it.
      *Throw the Deeper into the water to turn it on.
      *Go into setting and connect the WiFi to the Deeper.
      *Then open the app.
      Once you done that, each time you use it you will be able to connect through the app much easier, but for the first time it is best to connect manually without the app.

    Bait boat, I dont know what that is hahaha.
    Its something we use in the UK and Europe. It's basically a mini radio controlled boat that has bait hoppers on that open to allow your bait and hook rig to be dropped in a precise Location. Having the deeper connected to the boat is brilliant for mapping lakes, instead of using a rod. Have a search on here, Im sure you will want one.

    Hey Robbie 👈 Great refresher Video 📹 mate. I bought a Deeper Sonar around the time you first made a Video about them and it works a treat, specially on man made ponds where the bottom is pretty much featureless.. Let’s you find small holes/contours on the bottom where fish maybe held up... I ended up buying an El Cheapo Jarvis Walker 2 piece Boat Rod Combo and loaded it up with 60 lb line and a large fastach ... I don’t want it parting company 💸 with a poorly executed cast on a fast flowing river...🥴 🎣👍👍👍👍

    • @robbiefishing
      @robbiefishing  Před 4 měsíci

      That's no different than any other fish finder at this price point mate. If you want a fish finger that show the fish accurately you need to spend a lot more money than what it costs for the price.of a Deeper.

    • @wayneblanchard4347
      @wayneblanchard4347 Před 4 měsíci

      In terms of casting sonar fish finders, the Deeper Chirp +2 is at the high end if I'm not mistaken. Correct me if I am wrong. The next step is boat use sonars.
      I hope I didn't appear to direct the decision to turn off the fish symbols to you, personally. I was wondering what the manufacturer was thinking when producing a fish finder that motivates users to turn off the fish symbol display. And, according to your valuable response, it appears that this is an issue with casting fish finders at this price point across manufacturers. So, thank you for that insight.
      Navigating the performance of this product without actually using them and comparing across different manufacturers has been a challenge to say the least. I would imagine the fish finders find fish with relative accuracy if the fish is suspended in the water away from structure and vegetation. But as you and other reviewers suggest, fish on many occasions like to hunker down in structure or submerge in vegetation. FYI I'm leaning toward the beginner Deeper sonar to get acquainted and use what appears to be the more reliable features. Besides, I could easily see myself whipping the sonar casting with a larger rod and forgetting to flip the bail on my spinning reel watching helplessly as my sonar goes flying irretrievably into a big body of freezing water or watching it crash down into the ground!

      Yes it is a fish finder because it helps you find the fish, the same as all other fish finders at this price point.
      If you want one that shows the fish with 100% accuracy you will need to buy a livescope, and they are at least 10 times the price of a Deeper fish finder.
