I was one of the Moroccans complaining about the KO of group stage and since I am a Wydad Casablanca fan, which is the last club Oualid Reguragui was coaching before the national team, and how in few months we felt that our players were actually improving their tactical and technical skills and how they went from players or friends to a "Family".
Morocco has always been good in terms of skills but since 1998 and little later in 2004, we have never felt that our players were a real "family" since we had these multi-cultural and linguistic players which made it hard for foreign or even local coaches to achieve this goal, very easily and extraordinary done with our actual coach. That's why we have never believed that we can go very far except this competition. We are not only defending our national team because we are Moroccans but we do because we believe this time that Morocco can do an incredible WC.
But as you can see, we also respect your objective analysis based on previous apparences and we believe you didn't really disrespect our national team. Best of luck to Croatia too, and why not a re-match in the FINAL :D

It's highly understandable to be wrong. No one can watch the qualification rounds of every region. I'm watching Morocco vs Portugal now and I'm surprised at how good the Moroccans' ball control and passes are.

Serbia in the WC 22 is like Turkiye in the EC 21. From „Darkhorse“ to the one of biggest/biggest flop of the tournament

Serbia was a bit competitive at least, Maybe Denmark and Wales were Turkey of the last year
And both taken out by Switzerland.
We had far too many injuries whereas Turkiye had their players available

my biggest suprises were australia qualifying, saudi beating argentina, sk beating portugal, cameroon beating brazil and japan topping their group!
Serbia's biggest problem is their defense. It looked like they could score a goal against any team, but unfortunately they could also concede a goal from anyone

Is in their head. They crack under pressure, can’t handle their emotions and essentially Switzerland lives rent free in their heads.

As i Serb i was expecting us to do better and i know this side is capable of it.... But we had many of field issues with some key players not beeing 100 percent fit and that was huge deal in my eyes... Also about defence i would agree but only partially... I d say our goalkeeper was rly damn good and also pavlovic was rly solid in defense.
As a swiss I myself was very worried about that Serbia side aswell to be fair.... Well I mainly thought that our awesome run of form (getting out of the group stage in every major tournament since 2014) had to end someday, and it really felt like this tough group draw would be that time. But once again we have shown that this run of form isnt a coincidence :)
Hope Serbia can make the necessary improvments to really shine at Euro 2024! And for the sake of all our hearts, maybe they dont go in a group with us for a while :D

As a Serbian, deserved to bottom the group. Yes they looked good before the start, but wow.. like I said. Deserved. Every game after 60 minutes their form just falls so hard. It is unfortunate but thats reality and it wasnt deserved to go further then group stage.

Serbia was still great in attack. Unfortunately injuries, bad luck and terrible deffencs got the better of them. Still i think this team is going to learn qlot from this tournament and be dangerous in upcomming euros.

I correctly predicted groups A,B, and C and only got 1 team right from D through G. Somehow I predicted Australia to get 2nd (I also believed in the champions curse, just with australia qualifying over tunisia), and i made the same mistake in group H where I switched south Korea and uruguay last minute

I warned multiple times about either Spain or Germany willing to avoid Brazil in the quarters, giving 3 points to Japan or Costa Rica to qualify. If you have read like me the order of the matches it was predictable.
Mitro and Vlahovic weren’t training with a ball until Nov 23 and Mitro was on a cast for 10 days, smth similar with Vlahovic. We also had Kostic, Lukic and SMS just coming back from an injury as well

There is a terrible situation happening now Moroccan fans are not able to buy Tickets from the Official website they block it because they know one of the most important strengths of the Moroccan team is the crowd, and about the next match I hope not the same scenario will happen like 2018 vs Spain VAR + REFEREE and this time removing the crowd.

As a Swiss a I did watch the match with a lot of respect for the Serbian team but it’s so sad to see how they just panicked a the end entering in fight with Swiss players including Xhaka, even if it wasn’t really surprising considering what append in Kaliningrad 4 years ago. I’m happy our players didn’t provoke again the Serbian people and hope we won’t get to see that again 🇨🇭❤🇷🇸

I'm glad to know I am not the only one who got so many predictions wrong. The only group I called right was Group C (I came close to also calling Group A right but then I decided to switch out Senegal for Qatar due to Mane's injury plus host nation advantage).
* Teams I overestimated: Qatar, Wales, Denmark, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Serbia and Ghana. The latter two were my picks for an upset.
* Teams I underestimated: Any nations outside of UEFA and CONMEBOL who actually got out of their groups (Especially Australia, Japan and Morocco). Saudi Arabia, Costa Rica and Switzerland each deserves an honourable mention
Us Mexicans knew we would get grouped, but ofc we were always filled with hope praying we’d make it out, it seemed so when we scored two back to back goals vs saudi, but hopefully we get a manager that knows what he’s doing soon🙏🏽
poland did really stand out for world cup,despite the round of 16 poland v france just u all prob saw how much france struggled but 2nd place always have the hardest round of sixteen, lewandowski aswell he really pushed poland to their limits

I am a Brazil fan but that game was hilarious in the end. The guy scores the goal and takes off his shirt and gets a red card. Haha. That should be one of the big moments of this WC. Honestly, he should have no regrets and I would do that too. I would be like I don't care I scored a goal and we beat Brazil. Just an awesome moment.

Man, Serbia got really unlucky there, I feel like Serbia -, Germany-, and Italy-fans have all gone through the same arc from 2018 to 2022, with having high hopes for 2018 (don't exactly know if thats true for all the teams), having an upwards trajectory until 2022 with high(er) hopes into the Worldcup and then bottled it way to early again...
