Thanks for the honest and in depth take.. the initial mass histaria caused by all the reaction videos was mind numbing. It's like Streak, but it really isn't due to the lack of resonsiveness, anyone who thinks this replaces streak hasn't tried it yet. I'm really happy with the change, it has a lot of unique features and is MILES better the original troll tank enabling version of it. Thank God thats gone.

You can both move your camera and change directions in mist while on mouse and keyboard. Its only camera locked on controller.. :/
So ball of lightening was too strong, only absorbs 1 projectile now. But, they go and create this, hmmmm 🤔🤔🤔

Well for most that use race I'd say they will swap to elusive mist, I don't see bar space being an issue as most use a movement skill of some kind
Is it possible to animation cancel the forward dash but still get the buffs?

Coming back to the game after a few years.... I was like wtf happed to this ability, but this explains it. I'm not the biggest fan of it since you can't direct which way you go
I'll give you a hot tip. It's going to be super bad In lag.
So wardens, sorcerers, weapon and shield users, and now vampires being able to shut down range is OK. But DK's shutting down range with wings is to OP?
hey quick question, does the new blood mist aoe damage proc sets? was thinking about using that to proc dark convergence and teleport into a group lmao
They need to add some bats to the animation, and increase the speed of the skill
Pretty much a buff for all those Runaways in Cyro who only spam stuns.
This change is nice as is more of a change in function that may or may not be beneficial depending on circumstances rather than a nerf or buff.
However and I mean a really big however because of the existence of dk as the top dog of pvp and also getting another buff for u37, I think this change of the mist skills just came at a bad time when it suits dk the most.
DK do not need more buff. They are fine where they are and other classes just need to catch up to them.
That con about short travel distance is actually more of a pro.
Think about it, with the teleport location you get to choose how far or short you get to teleport (assuming the skill is working properly), while streak you are limited to 1 distance only, which gets very annoying in tight areas where aiming even 1 pixel off can cause you to overshoot the target, fall off walls, etc.
Also, the only reason streak still has a place is because of the stun allowing it to be used offensively, mist form 100% replaces BoL on every build because it functions just like the old pre nerfed BoL but with better and more buffs.
Who used BoL other than tanks?
@@canisinumbra BoL used to be much stronger and was a really good defensive option that was worth using over streak. It used to have no cooldown on its projectile block, just like mist form has, then it got a nerf to only block 1 projectile per second for 3 seconds making it way worse.
@@turtle-bot3049 I know but it was abused and nevertheless I’ve never used after trying it for a couple of days (when it was good). But there is no reason to use BoL nowadays other than being a troll.
@@canisinumbra it was definitely abused back when it was good, but it also helped a lot of newer players get used to sorcs more punishing defensive kit since they had a more forgiving option to use when under pressure while they learnt sorcs limitations.
Nowadays, there is definitely 0 reason to use BoL. The skill has been nerfed into oblivion and now replaced by mist form which is the old BoL but with better effects and passives attached.
@@canisinumbra BoL was really good as a dps. Snare immunity, plus the original version of BoL absorbed projectiles not only from yourself, it absorbed ally projectiles so it was amazing in group play as it provided you with damage mitigation in group play, it even absorbs projectile ultimates like Meteor.
Obviously it no longer does the group aoe absorption and it now absorbs 1 projectile a second, it's a really bad skill now but I still run it on stam sorc because I don't need streak stun with Dizzying swing. I would definitely use it as a replacement for BoL when that skill is so bad now
Not having the snare removal kinda sucks. I used elusive mist/blood mist all the time to get snare removal
/immunity and more dmg without the need to level psijik skills on all chars.
Can you actually jump first and use it in the air? 🤔

All eso comunity hurr durr mist is so op, vampires op durr! @ its literally weak version of streak without unblockable stun and with slover animation. I fucking love it X D
I'm a little worried about it being buggy. I know it is week one of the PTS, but it hardly works for me. Hardly works on my DK or Templar, on my NB only once, then I need to teleport using shade for it to work again. Also can't jump or block after using it without doing some other animation first. Probably just a me problem on PTS and I hope it's not a common issue.
its a whole new animation and function. I am sure it will be bugged likely even on launch since we all know launch is the real PTS

this is going to make me switch back to duel wield on my bomber instead of masters 2h so I can use sea serpents have a extra aoe/heal with sap essence healing me to and be able to have that gtfo skill
I think the elusive mist morph should maybe have a faster animation and perhaps even further distance than the blood mist morph to make it more... elusive.
Actually, a few seconds of invisibility will indeed *truly* make it elusive.
So no nerf to vampires? Dont get me wrong all my chars r vamp. As u should be. Is it how it should be?

This is sick i don't think ZOS know what they doing to balance skills at this point now. i am giving up pvp in this game. and focuse on GW2 that is more balance. if only if they added cooldown in skills maybe the game classes and skills would be more easy for the Devs to balance them.

It's a lot like Ball of Light, but it seems a lot slower doesn't it? I mean the animation takes like 1-2 seconds, whereas with streak/ball of light you teleport forward.

Blood mist has bar space on most builds and is far better then streak or any other mobility skill. Hot/dot, negates 3 projectiles, 1second of invincibility and increases weapon/spelldamage by 300 for 6 seconds. Literally on any pvp build if your not running this then your simply just missing out. Streak is nice but not near as good. This will be replacing streak on many many builds. People need to look at this as both offensive and defensive.
Eh I think it depends on why you're running streak. id you're running streak for the defense then I could see it replacing streak, but if you're running streak offensively for the unblockable stun then swapping streak out would have to find space for rune prison. THe thing that makes streak nice is the versatility in that it can be used for both mobility and crowd control where as blood mists versatility is in mobility and damage/sustain. This leads me to believe that at face value streak is better for pvp and bloodmist is better for pve, unless you're running a very specialized build that gets everything it needs from other places and doesn't need streaks stun or travel speed. Either way, options are always a good thing in my book.
Now ball lightning on the other hand, ball lightning probably definitely needs a buff to compete now that blood mist exists.
@Lystrad yeah I agree on basically all of this if your kit doesn't have any form of stuns. But I still find it too good, bigger heals if your playing defensive or bigger burst for the offensive. Plus with d-swing buff (major brutality) you only need a med weave for a stun. Or other skills such as dk skills or again rune prison. It's just too good.
It’s not a bit better than Streak if you play an offensive spec.
@canisinumbra how? Streak only offers 1 stun and a blink. Consumes alot of mana. This increase wep/spell by 300, hot/dot, blink, and obsorbs 3 projectiles. So explain?
@@ethanward3912 It's the fact that streaks stun is guaranteed and isn't telegraphed. One well timed streak can guarantee that all of your burst lands. You can do the same thing with other abilities but even rune prison is on a delay that gives the opponent time to prepare for it with shields, buffs and hots. The damage you get from mist likely won't be enough to make or break your burst combos in the same way that making sure all of your timed burst windows land simultaneously and unblocked with streak can. Couple that with the opportunity cost that comes from mist splitting your stun and mobility onto 2 buttons, when sorc is already a very greedy class with the amount of class abilities it wants/needs and there's a very real chance that you're going to be losing something other than streak on top of streak to make room depending on what weapon you want to use.

I'm showcasing and going through the pros and cons of how I view the reworked elusive mist. It's not rocket science and I even notate several times. You can't test this in duels, it's only going to be a cyrodiil tested skill, even notate it may not work in laggy situations which we have no idea over. Even go to the extent I believe only DKs will probably use it with a sea serpent coil build. I've thought about this skill to provide all this insight, but just because I haven't used it against a player other than a duel I don't know if it's good or not... 🤣
It will be valuable in open fields getting spammed by snipe, and range attacks gives a quick burst of movement, but has drawbacks. I don't understand how it's possible to just take the information and be like "interesting" or ohh I didn't know that. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, just providing my insight. And what is "bait" about the title? I go over the reworked skill? Vampire has and still is Meta. And this is update 37... so what's your point on the title lol 😆
@@TheRealGodzilla The whole thing is just speculation. In the beginning everyone and their mother will slot it, experience first hand the downside of a blink ability, and still complain about Streak. The tile and the thumbnail are misleading. Vampire will stay for Undeath, once that is nerfed, Mistform won’t be a thing at all unless you wanna pay more for skills to get a wannabe Streak with some extra won dmg.
Is it buffed? Depends on the view. I think a lot of people liked the toggle abuse.
I personally hate Vampire but gimped myself too long for not using Undeath. But there won’t be ever a Vamp skill on my bar.
Meh.. vamp changes don't matter... There is only one meta in ESO globally.. the lag meta... I for one am boycotting this dlc... Cancelled my ESO plus after watching Thier stream for the simple fact that they said y'all gonna pay us for one more year before we do anything about our servers lagging... Then they drop a new mount as a testament to 2023 big update and low and behold... It's broken and invisible... Great start zos
