I promise I don’t compare every piece of media I consume to Red Dead Redemption 2-but sometimes I can’t help it, and the themes of redemption and rehabilitation in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 were too interesting for me to resist.

Love ypur vids. Halfway through your video & the good the game does makes me all the more sad they politicized it. I'll never forgive them for butchering the Spanish language to be "Progressive".

Why not compare anything and everything to red dead red dead is the golden standard for everything
Red dead redemption 2 is a good game but I wouldn't wanna hold it to the golden standard
It's a pretty game with a good story, but gameplay wise i feel there's other titles that should be used as a gold standard
Don't get me wrong, a games story can be very important in a game. However gameplay should be held first before the story. If a game has bad gameplay then it's not a good game.
Rdr2s gameplay is fine for what it is, but it's definitely far from having amazing gameplay.
If you wanna use rdr2 for gold standard when it comes to developed story telling, I do agree (though it's not the only title worthy to be used as a gold standard for story telling)
But when it comes to gameplay, rdr2 shouldn't be used as a gold standard
@@jackbluehq6653agree rdr2 has the gold standard for storytelling but gameplay can definitely lack in a sense of shootouts can be short lived and rely heavy on auto aim which can be fun but it’s almost an outdated gameplay measure

n the Arkham games for example the only character who gets redemption is Red Hood, and he didn't even want to be a villian in the first place. The endless cycle of trying to rehabilitate lost causes in Batman makes you wonder what the point of sparing them is.
But here, almost everyone does change and try to be better, which is really nice to see.
He doesn't redeem himself though? He wss a villian for a stupid reason and he gets his ass beat and then realizes he was a moron and then still kills people even though thats not what batman wanted and goes against what batman stood for.

Honestly it’s kind of absurd to compare these games just because spider-man 2 has knee-deep depth and red dead 2 has neck-deep depth. Like when every side villain has essentially the same arc it loses all of its value and just seems rushed and kind of cheap
Arthur's redemption was also too fast, he should've got to at the end of c4 and spent c5 helping the people of Guarma and c6 where everything falls apart

I played this, and Jedi survivor with my girlfriend watching me, and everytime he came on in either game I would call him Charles, and it made me want to go back and see him in RDR2. (I also had to explain that charles is not Bode or Mysterio's real name)
Well Spider-Man and RDR2 are my FAV games of all time.
Idk i though sm2 was sorta eh, i compare the whole themes of rehabilitation are a lot better compared with someone like Vergil from dmc, hes made a lot of mistakes in his quest for power so hed never feel the pain he felt when he lost his mother, the power to rely on himself, and then finally his son and brother show him that that isnt the way to go and help him find a better path, that felt more fleshed out then sm2 which has multiple of these but arent fleshed out enough.

So funny story, my first playthrough of RDR2 on PS4 was miserable. I hated all the attention the game was getting, I thought it was overhyped and mediocre. Here I am now a good few years later returning after seeing the GTA 6 trailer and playing in 4K 60 on PC. Man... I was so retarded for not appreciating this game my first time round. I feel like im seeing it with fresh eyes, like im doing it all over again for the first time. Its one of those rare situations where I am actually able to wipe my memory to play the game again for the first time and I cannot express how much fun I am having with this game.

Overall I loved Spider-Man 2 but I do feel that in terms of content and mission design, they played it way too safe. I was expecting the same amount of depth the arkham games had in their side mission and open world content but no we just got what the previous two games had. I also think the story was a little rushed and could have been told much better. If the game was at least another 5 hours longer, it would have been perfect.
For me it’s perfect i love Spider-Man 2 it’s my favorite game and Spidey adaptation

Climate change wasn't earnestly identified as a growing issue until around the 1950s, half a century after RDR2. Hope this helps.
