A lawsuit just filed claims UNRWA led a billion-dollar money laundering scheme to aid Hamas.
The legal action claims that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) orchestrated a billion-dollar money laundering operation that funded Hamas, significantly reducing humanitarian aid to Gaza residents and contributing to the October 7 attack.
UNRWA the lawsuit claims was complicit in diverting funds intended for Gaza's population into channels supporting Hamas terrorism
Specifically "The findings in this lawsuit demonstrate that UNRWA was aware of and actively participated in the diversion of funds earmarked to support the people of Gaza into channels that ensured those funds were used for terrorism and in violation of international law. UNRWA's insistence that over a billion dollars in Gaza aid be distributed in US cash that locals could not spend without going through Hamas money changers is one of the most damning pieces of new evidence presented in this case."
The lawsuit, according to the press release, alleges that UNRWA was fully aware of Hamas' dominance in all levels of its educational system in Gaza and the West Bank and that UNRWA continued to print textbooks bearing the UN seal that contained controversial content, even after reports of abuse and alarm were raised by the US, UN, and EU, and after the EU froze assets.
UNRWA it is claimed continued to print textbooks bearing the UN seal that taught little children grammar by having them write, 'I will commit jihad to liberate the homeland' and 'nourish the homeland with [my] blood.'"
The lawsuit also alleges that UNRWA often taught Gaza's children and those in the West Bank to count by counting the martyrs killed in the 2014 Intifada.
These claims suggest a systemic issue within UNRWA's educational programs, potentially contributing to the radicalization of Gaza's youth (and youth in the West Bank too)
"Hamas - a known terrorist organization whose charter claims peace would only be possible when Israel is destroyed - openly controlled 24 of 26 leadership positions in the UNRWA employee union.
At least 10% of UNRWA employees were members of Hamas and over 100 were proven to have taken part in the October 7 attack,"
The lawsuit also claims that UNRWA's operational costs and staff size per refugee served are nearly ten times that of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
UNRWA and seven commissioner-generals, deputy commissioner-generals, and directors who allegedly oversaw the illegal schemes from New York are named in the lawsuit.
On June 24, 2024, a group of over 100 Israeli victims and families affected by the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack filed a lawsuit against the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in U.S. federal court.

@@MapGolay-sb6hn that's a great point, although in the era of smartphones and mass encrypted communications, I think the entire concept of a professional politician who we vote for and then who has free reign to make law however they please with no responsibility to respect the will of their constituents is antiquated and unnecessary. When it took days to get a single message between DC and NY, it made sense to have professional representatives who were charged with making snap decisions on everyones behalf. But today, everyone can be polled directly in an instant.

I started hearing negative campaign ads about Jamaal Bowman before i ever saw his OWN ads. All for criticizing the slaughter of Palestinian children. Wish I could move to Westchester so I could vote for him.
In every congressional district with an AIPAC candidate, the whole area should be covered with posters and billboards with a picture of the candidate and “AIPAC” printed in big block letters across their forehead. Candidates right now are so scared of not taking AIPAC money and getting primaried. We need to change it so they are scared of taking AIPAC money and getting exposed.
Actually, any politician who receives AIPAC money should be in prison for life.

But where is the DoJ and it's 3 letter agencies in all of this, how is it AIPAC does not have to register as foreign agent? If Iranians, Russians, Arabs, or Chinese were engaged in the activities AIPAC is involved in, the 3 letter agencies would be all over it, the dutiful corporate media would be all over it - but "somehow" different rules of the road for AIPAC, perhaps officials and representatives are waiting for political signals or perhaps they are not sensitive to those signals.
