    With that honey tasting so fine, you might ask the property owner if you could keep 8-10 hives there.🙂

    • @JeffHorchoff
      @JeffHorchoff  Před měsícem +3

      My concern would be the cattle that graze in the field, they are not to concerned with boxes and may upset them. Also, the homeowner had concerns about the hive being in the field so I do's think he would be very open to having hives there. Still, the thought crossed my mind. Thanks for watching. God's peace Gerard.

    • @gerardjohnson2106
      @gerardjohnson2106 Před měsícem +4

      @JeffHorchoff : Solar electric fence on 'T' posts solves the cattle problem. Oil field royalty (12%-15%) of the honey harvest for rights to service the yard might persuade the owner. Everybody knows a 12 pound gallon of honey is worth way more than a 7.2 pound gallon of crude oil and much more tasty.

    This looked like a beautiful natural colony surviving just fine on its own. I've removed many colonies in danger of extermination in structures where they interact with humans. In this case, I would like to know if leaving the colony alone would have been an option and maybe even better for the bees and the environment.

    • @JeffHorchoff
      @JeffHorchoff  Před měsícem +3

      It is always the homeowners choice weather to remove a colony of bees from their property or leave them stay, and in this case, the owners had concerns for their cattle having the bees in the field and wanted the hive relocated. Also, in cases with open air colonies that are as large as this one was, they self destruct over time. Due to the weight of the comb and the exposer to the heat of summer, they break apart and wind up on the ground. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace William.

      I remember hearing about it in a video where several of 'em basically gave a Hornet a fatal heat stroke by basically dogpiling the guy and cranking the heat to 11.

    Lmao...the bull looking at your van like 'there's a little action there' hahaha. That would be just a fun day in the park for some of those bulls. Hilarious.

    Good job guys, I learned a few things about bees today, always thought they were always inside somewhere. Never thought they would build in the open.

      Bees are just full of surprises, and they love springing them on beekeepers all the time. Thanks for watching. God's peace Gene.

    That was a beautiful colony up there and very impressive in size too. I had to laugh when you lift came ambling along with all that clanging but it really worked out great- so much better than a ladder or real scaffold. I need one of those permanently housed in my yard. All my swarms go 30+ feet.

      Thank you.I post these videos, to show just how important bees are to our very survival, and why we should not just kill them out of ignorance. I have been rescuing bees from being needlessly destroyed for over 14 years now, and hope to continue to do so for many more years to come. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace.
