    When Rex said "We'll meet again" I think he meant the worlds restarting. At the end of the base game, Noah and gang destroyed Z and so Origin had nothing stopping it from completing its goal as we can see in the end credits of base 3 because the original worlds were basically frozen in time and Aionios was basically a kind of limbo so when everything was fixed, everything went back to the way it was before, meaning Shulk and Rex would both be back living their normal lives like nothing that happened in Aionios never happened and every soldier there would go back to their old worlds as kids since their data were all put into Origin when they were kids. Basically, everything got reset when Noah fixed Origin so i dont think Shulk and Rex are gods or dead.

      @Potato Archer Good point! That very well could be the case. Not saying you’re wrong, though I think it could also still be possible for them to meet again if they took a role akin to Alvis in Xenoblade 1. Essentially able to inhabit their own bodies and show up as more guides to older versions of their children in the future games. The reason this theory is a little reaching is because it seems like a pretty Monolithsoft/Xenoblade thing to subvert expectations lol.

    Regarding the no aging theory, I don't think that's necessarily true. While it's possible for Shulk, Rex, and others are left out of Aionios' cycle by some higher being, that doesn't mean they stopped aging. After all, Shulk looks VERY different compared to when we saw him in FR's first cutscene sporting much longer hair and more wrinkles.
    Rather, I think a better way of viewing it is that these characters simply age much, much slower. Just like how Aionios isn't literally frozen in time; just progresses gradually, thus causing the Annihilation Events which is the results of the two worlds still attempting to merge together.

    When Origin rebooted the worlds, they both went back to the moment right before they collided where we see Noah as a kid.
    So if you think about it, this actually never happened since time rolled back to before it did. So maybe they did die in a sense to become Origin's avatar with A but they didn’t stay that way after Z died.

    I'm pretty sure when the worlds form again Rex and Shulk will be given back their original forms like everyone else. With the worlds formed again there is no need for Origin and the trinity processor so Shulk and Rex are given back their original bodies and continue on with their lives. If we do get a Xenoblade 4 it will be based on what the previous saga built instead of treading up new ground, meaning if we do get returning characters they won't be MC's like Nia, Melia, Rex, Shulk or Alvis, it will be characters like Riku that while played a role weren't the focus of the story at any point as a nice little reference to past games but not overshadowing the current MC.

    Great video! I've always wondered how Rex & Shulk ended up in Aionios and my theory is that Z awoken them and their close surroundings (Linka, Panacea, other people of Alrest & Bionis) as a failsafe to stop Alpha in that first cutscene. Z was probably trying to hack into Origin and that's what triggered Alpha's response actions in the first place.
    This is backed up by the fact that Rex & Shulk have barely aged and were probably not present in Aionios for too long to begin with. They were probably in their late 20s when Origin first activated/when they were revived back into Aionios. Mio is roughly 10 years old at the start of XC3, meaning the Origin activation probably took place around 12-ish years after the ending of 1&2 (this also conveniently lines up with the in game releases of XC1 in 2010 & XC3 in 2022). After that first battle, roughly 15 years pass based on in-game dialogue and the "truce" peace period between the Consuls and Cityfolk war, aging them to their mid 40s. It's hard to call Rex & Shulk immortal beings when Linka and Panacea exist too.

    Origin failed to reboot because of the fear of the souls saved in it believed that the system would not work thus froze the time, creating moebius.
    Origin working just rebuilds Alrest and bionis drifting away. The worlds reuniting is a totally different event that could have taken place long after 3’s ending as you see both earth reappraring in the presumably original universe (presence of Jupiter implying we are in the solar system again)

      Yeah I think they did. I could be off about my theory of the lights because there seems to be some inconsistencies in some places really for any theory I’ve seen so far. For instance I think Noah and Mio both had golden motes when they died as their versions that bore Gondor in a flashback. Yet they returned to the cycle. Ethel had blue ones and returned to the cycle, but Guernica had both and didn’t. I had someone point out that Guernica’s turned blue because he was “sent off” by Noah and Mio which is probably the case, but it wouldn’t explain how if people die naturally with yellow motes and return to origin rather than the cycle, why Noah and Mio’s notes were yellow.

I think what they did to Nikol and Glimmer was give them their remaining life force from their normal human life as they themselves were gonna become Aegises so that Nikol and Glimmer were free from the cycle of the Endless now

    I know I'm late but I think that the light motes thing is incorrect.
    When someone in the cycle dies in combat, their light motes are red until an Off-Seer plays their song, then they turn blue.
    When a soldier dies in a homecoming, their motes are yellow.
    When someone outside the cycle dies their motes are yellow, it doesn't matter if they died of old age or in battle.
    About Vandhamm's motes turning blue:
    I always thought that the blue motes came from Mwamba and the other agnian guy (i forgor his name💀)
    All of that comes from memory, I haven't played the game in months, but I played it like 5 times so I'm pretty sure about what I'm saying.

      My theory definitely isn’t the most sound as there is evidence against it. And much of what you mentioned makes sense but regardless, there are still inconsistencies to every theory on the light mote colors that I’ve seen. For instance, you said that people with yellow light motes are outside of the cycle, yet we see the version of Noah and Mio that bore Ghondor return to the cycle despite having yellow light motes. Sure, this could be a special case but it still bugs me that they seem to be the culprit of inconsistency in terms of the light motes lol.
      This isn’t to say you’re wrong. In fact, your explanation makes a lot of sense but the inconsistencies in any explanation I’ve seen so far, (including my own) make me unsure of which is really is the case. Great thoughts though!

      About Noah and Mio having yellow particles:
      I'm pretty sure that yellow particles appear in soldiers when they die of old age, probably the Off-Seer tunes in a homecoming are just for show.
      Anyways, I think that the life in which Mio and Noah have Ghondor is the last one before becoming Moebius, so they didn't return to the cycle after that (that is just a thought, though).
      Also, after seeing your response I thought about the Monica hero quest where at the end a cutscene plays in which blue motes appear from the items that the now dead citizens had when they were alive so that (probably) dismantles my theory anyways.

    Regarding the lights, it seemed pretty clear to me that the lights from people outside the cycle are always yellow when they die, cause they die naturally, just like people in the cycle when they reach their homecoming/a natural death. If an agnian kills a kevesian, his lights become red and this person returns in the cycle. The blue lights correspond to the effect produced on it by the off-seers playing their melody, hence why Vandham's yellow lights become blue. But I don't think yellow lights turn blue for any other person outside the cycle. What factually happens when off-seers play their melody is that it desintegrates people's husk. Symbolically speaking it's certainly a way to evoke the fact that people's soul finally leaves this world in peace cause what's left from their body disappears to restore a sense of dignity in their death despite their life energy already left them before that. There also seems to be a white light that appears few times but majorly for the previous incarnations of Noah and Mio when they die but I think it might just be a different lightning or something like that cause it's never explained. Those deaths just seem to be natural deaths so they should be yellow.
    Now I know the theory most people believe in regarding why Rex and Shulk don't age is because Origin frozed them in time but personally I don't buy it because it's pretty incoherent. Origin has an influence over the world to stop its flow because all the world's datas are stored into it in the first place. The exact reason why people from the City aren't affected by Origin on the contrary, because they're not registered. I already had doubts about it since the announcement of the DLC cause if Shulk and Rex were registered into Origin, Z could do absolutely anything with them, even put a flame clock on them potentially. And what Linka said pretty much conforts my doubts cause she says they haven't been assimilated by Origin contrary to others so they're not under the influence of Origin. Aionios is just the reunion of Bionis, what's left from Mechonis and Alrest so people from the City are in the exact same situation as Rex and Shulk, they aren't registered and yet, they age normally unlike them. Thus, that's not a very good reason for Shulk and Rex to stay frozen in time.

    • @DerajjParallax
      @DerajjParallax  Před rokem +1

      Those are both really good points! I think the theory you have for the lights makes more sense though I have one question. You said when a soldier dies and is returned to the cycle, their lights are red. Would that mean whenever people are are “sent off” and their color turns blue they don’t return to the cycle? Because when Ethel was sent off by Noah and Mio, we know she was reborn into the cycle.
      Also, as far as Rex and Shulk’s age, are you suggesting instead of being frozen in time they just age much slower, for unknown reasons, than others not under the influence of Origin?

    • @kyurei4478
      @kyurei4478 Před rokem

      @@DerajjParallax Thanks for your answer. Actually I'd like to mention first that even if I think it makes the most sense, there is few inconsistencies to this rule of light colors. Particularly, there is a mission where you need to find Vandham's clothes to offer him a proper send-off in the City. So Noah and Mio play their melody once again for Vandham while they've already done the exact same thing early in the game. So we could wonder if there is really a point to it. I guess you could symbolically say there was still a part of his soul in his clothes, he needed to say good bye to his fellow City members to find a definitive peace and dignity in death. Still he pretty much receives two sends-off which is weird. And factually its his clothes that produce the blue light by disintegration instead of his dead body. We know clothes don't disappear with the body cause we've seen it when Mio dies I believe.
      And regarding your question, to be honest I'm not really sure for that case. But I tend to think that yes, if someone's lights are red and turn blue, they can't be used as energy to feed the moebius to me. The red lights are absorbed by the flame clock. Actually what I meant is I don't think their red life energy actually returns to Origin directly but once they die they're automatically revived regardless. Their red lights energy is just fuel consumed one time for the moebius who use the cycle. My arguments for that are why would Origin need their energy to come back in the first place since their datas are already stored into Origin ? And the biggest argument is the existence of Noah and Mio themselves while they never died as moebius so their life energy couldn't come back to the cycle to revive them. That means Origin doesn't need the life energy to come back to revive each soldier every time but could generate infinite copies just like Noah and Mio. Thus, when the first Ethel died her lights didn't fill the flame clock because of the send-off and turned blue. But she died by the hand of an agnian, not naturally so her lights were red, not yellow and destined to feed the flame clock at first. Now where those blue lights go, only God knows. And Origin just generated another Ethel. Obviously they don't copy one person multiple times at the same time or that would be very suspicious for the soldiers. But since some become moebius, they can face a copy. In fact, what off-seers are doing from a practical and factual standpoint is disintegrating what remains on the battlefield after they died and their life force is already taken. Generally it's husks and clothes but if there is life energy remaining, it goes away with it. They "liberate the soul" of the one incarnation of the soldier that died, not the main soul of the original person stored into Origin. The only time people don't return to the flame clock and aren't revived is when their light is yellow. I tried to explain it from a symbolic standpoint cause that's what the game is trying to tell us but it's not easy to get. Most of the time It looks exactly like life energy like red and yellow but the story telling tries to tell us it's something beyond that, not just their life that goes away but their soul which is now at peace when it turns blue, the only thing that's left even after they died. Cause think about it, it makes no sense there would still be light that could come out of their body if their life energy is already taken. The deads already filled the flame clock and yet, Noah and Mio are still playing music for the deads. Now as I explained earlier, the factual explanation is they disintegrate what's left, when there is still material things but the game doesn't say it like the off-seers clean the mess. They present it in a poetic way but they provide a logical explanation at the same time. Symbolically it's their soul, factually it's what's left: body, clothes, but it can also affect life energy directly I suppose.
      So to sum up more clarly, to me:
      > Yellow lights = Everyone that dies in a neutral way, and if they're in the cycle they don't die from someone from Agnus or Keves.
      > Red lights = They're in the cycle and died from Agnus or Keves and are going to fill the flame clock but their energy doesn't actually returns to Origin to be reused for a new copy like it could suggest. The one incarnation just becomes moebius fuel.
      > Blue lights = The soul of the deads find peace and it can be in the form of their life energy that is affected or those lights can be constituted of what's left from them that disintegrates into blue light but it symbolically always represents their soul which finds peace in all cases.
      For Rex and Shulk to me I don't know if that's exactly what you meant but I think they stayed alive because their role was to serve as a potential replacement for the avatars of the world. And I think they stayed alive thanks to Origin but because of people's will/emotions of the ones who were already assimilated by Origin. We know the will and emotions of people stored into Origin is a great source of power since that's what created X, Y, Z and the moebius as a all. So I think people who love them wanted to keep them alive so bad their emotions froze them in time and prevented them from aging to save them. They're the heroes of their respective world so it wouldn't be surprising to me. And the same happened for Linka, Panacea, Riku, Melia and Nia (maybe not Nia and Riku but I just guess it would be the same reason for everyone for simplicity). I said they're not under the influence of Origin but that would be a different manifestation of Origin's power, much like moebius who are constituted of negative emotions can still attack and affect people who aren't registered into Origin cause they can act by themselves beyond what Origin controls; the positive will and emotions of people to keep Rex, Shulk and co alive would affect them and would make them immortal cause they still have a mission to accomplish. So they're affected by Origin but not because Origin can directly access their datas.

      Okay, what you’re saying about the lights makes sense! I think there’s always little inconsistencies here and there with almost everything but that’s just the nature of fiction. Even when story writers outright confirm certain plot points, there are always inconsistencies, but all I mean by that is even with them, your theory still makes sense! I will say that with your lights theory, it could still make sense for Rex and Shulk to have started the process of their natural death but because we never see them actually disappear, we can assume they aren’t actually dead or fully dead. But the argument could also be made that when they’re in that white void, they’ve already dead. Or they could finally be assimilated back into Origin for good to be reset into new Aionios and so then anyone who died naturally would also be reset. So many possibilities, but I’ll stick to my “in between physical and spiritual realm” theory for now.
      As for Rex and Shulk, I think we’re essentially on the same page for the most part. I think the only thing I mentioned differently is that I think Klaus’ plan was that they essentially be kept alive. But that could’ve been done through the will of the people who resided in Origin so my Klaus theory more or less just adds on to yours.

    • @kyurei4478
      @kyurei4478 Před rokem

      @@DerajjParallax Maybe, little inconsistencies annoy me though ah ah ! I mean yeah, you need to stop searching for a reason for everything at one point but you generally should have to question things seriously to find plot holes. I don't feel I have this problem with Xenoblade 1 and 2 but 3 seems so vague on a lot of basic and main aspects. That's true but I think some story writers are more competent and more talented in that regard. When some confirm plot points, it create more problematic questions. I guess if you still have ways to explain it, even when that's a bit farefetche'd that's ok, at least for me it is. But sometimes you just can't find anything and that becomes a real problem to me cause the flaw is visible. Yes I think Rex and Shulk started dying once Alpha died cause they accomplished their mission and the emotions of people were appeased. What seems to be pretty certain is that they replaced Alpha so Origin can continue to work and Aionios can continue to exist. So I don't think the fact they're actually dead is very likely cause either their conscience is used to keep Origin working or they're just registered as datas in the same way as everyone else but are avatars. If they would actually die because they gave their life force to Glimmer and Nikol, they would be completely useless. So maybe we'll never see them again but they at least still exist in some way after entering in the white void so they wouldn't be dead technically. Also they're saying they'll wait for them. If they're in Origin now I don't think it's a big stretch to assume they can now be assimilated by it and be revived indeed but maybe not for now if they're the avatars. But yes, we suppose everyone has been reset as it seems to be the case in the post credit scene of Xenoblade 3. But I think it's totally possible they're in this in between the physical and spiritual realm if they serve as an avatar for now. If they become avatars, I guess it stopped their total death anyway.
      Yes cause I actually completely agree with what you're saying for the current state of Rex and Shulk, it seems totally coherent to me. Oh yeah the Klaus thing. Well, that somehow matches too. Only the cause differs in the end. Same for the most popular theory that people from Alrest and the Bionis would be frozen in time because of Origin actually. My version is just a slight twist because of what I already explained regarding the fact they're not assimilated into Origin but in the same way it's still Origin that allows them to stay frozen by converting people's will and emotions into power to affect them. The reason why I thought about this theory is because of how Linka explains it happened. To me the way she tells it sounds like a big incident happened and people have been unexpectidelly assimilated into Origin against their will and maybe even died this way, probably because of the apparition of Z who to me is Origin's AI later corrupted by people's negative emotions. The last most important desire from the people assimilated would be for Shulk and Rex to save them cause they're their hero and to others to live because they love them so much. And this desire would be strong enough to convert into energy through Origin and protect and allow them to stay alive as long as they still have something to accomplish. Now personally, I'll stick with the fact it's not thanks to Klaus cause it would seem weird to me that he saw that far into the future, even before the worlds started to attract each other and Origin existed. From what I personally understood from Xenoblade 2, his last gift was to combine titans to create the actual Elyseum. Actually it's very interesting. I wanted to find a reason why the two worlds tried to merge once again and I thought about Klaus at some point. But after Future Redeemed I'm inclined to believe that Alvis slowly started to become more Alpha and to lose his mind right after Logos and Pneuma's death and returned to his core before being found by Shulk as we know and used as a model for Origin. Future Connected would be the clue that everything started from there cause Shulk has his Future Connected outfit in the cutscene where he found Alvis' core, assuming the fog beasts are related to Alpha, which isn't even certain I think but likely. So I think it was him who tried to merge the worlds in the first place just to destroy everything and then restart it from scratch. That aligns very well with his end goal. That or the conduit itself wanted to destroy everything.

    • @DerajjParallax

      @@kyurei4478 I also hate when there are little inconsistencies. They drive me crazy too! But yeah, I think even if Shulk and Rex are dead (which I hope they aren’t) having them always remain a part of new Aionios by becoming avatars for origin and thus that new world would be a cool way for them to die! They would always be with us in future games assuming new Aionios doesn’t get destroyed.
      About Klaus, yeah I’ll admit it would be a little weird for him to have that kind of foresight since he was just a normal human after all, but still possible. I also like the theory of Alpha himself being the one to try to merge alrest and bionis to destroy them. You also brought up the conduit wanting to destroy everything which could make a lot of sense because we know so little about it or where it came from. Galea was trying to warn Klaus how little they actually knew about it. The beings or entities who created the conduit could’ve had very malicious intentions. Or maybe it’s the nature of something that holds that kind of power. The price you pay is that all will inevitably be destroyed and who knows how many times that has happened to other worlds that others have tried to create with the conduit’s power. That would be very interesting

    Your theory here is pretty good but i must mention that Logos was destroyed with the trinity core at the end of X2. Unless the remaining cores can rebuild the missing core form the data they have in their cores, then Pneuma made Noah’s L7 from her data and N’s sword of beginning form Ontos’s core. It would explain why we see two swords of the end in the main story and why there’s a missing art when using L7 before defeating N in Origin.

      @DerajjParallax  Před rokem

      In another one of my videos I speculated that even though Logos’ core was destroyed, they still had access to his data from Origin to put into the sword of the end. However that could be wrong. So is it stated or speculated somewhere that Pneuma made Noah’s L7 and Ontos made N’s sword of the end? Or is that just a theory? I ask because if so, that’s definitely an interesting one I’d like to hear more about!

    I think that "we will meet again" refers to Origin rebooting fully and everyone being put back together where they belong.
    But if someone obtains avatar form they are gifted god powers and moebius they access their previous lives memories so MAYBE when Noah and Mio separate the worlds and are returned to the scene where noah is a kid then maybe they find their parents and all but the avatars keep the memories of aionios when they return to their lives?
    Origin has the data of all the inhabitants right? Even the outsiders, who need more energy than the cycle ones ? And that's why Alpha wants to kill them ? To get rid of "old life" ?
    Is that it or did i understand everything wrong ?

    Is rex and shulk nerfed in Xenoblade 3?
    I mean shulk killed god, and Rex is a rizz god.

    • @DerajjParallax
      @DerajjParallax  Před rokem

      Shulk turned down the powers that ultimately let him become a god in order to kill one. Rex’s power came from Pneuma who got her powers directly from the conduit which disappeared from Alrest and is nowhere to be found in Aionios. If you take those powers away, they’re just normal guys. Sure they’ve probably gotten stronger than your average Joe by this point due to experience and whatnot and destiny had a massive role for them to play but at they already had their time to shine so yeah I’d say they’re nerfed from when we last saw them in Xenoblade 1 and 2.

    I believe the light note theory is wrong those who lights are stuffed out from homecoming/those outside the cycle are the ones who have that shade of light so I’m sure shulk and Rex did in theory leave the world

    • @DerajjParallax
      @DerajjParallax  Před 11 měsíci

      Yeah I realized there are too many inconsistencies with the lights to go one way or the other. The colors don’t seem to mean as much seeing as the original N and M’s lights turned yellow and they were reborn into the cycle just as those who have blue ones like Ethel

    Cool theory but a sidenote, A is never referred to by any third person pronouns in future redeemed and it's explicitly stated that Ontos was meant to not be fully male or female. A is simply A (common variety trinity processor!?). Even though Alpha is referred to as "he" like Alvis in xc1 was, the fact that pronouns are not used for A seems like a very specific and intentional decision that I think would be wrong to disregard.

    • @DerajjParallax
      @DerajjParallax  Před rokem +1

      You’re right, even Rex says Ontos lies somewhere in between male and female. Tbh I don’t even think about it too much when I’m talking about it. It just kinda comes out, but I will try to be more sensitive to that.

    Headcanon:
    When Shulk, Rex and A became avatars, they were transported into another memory space, one fashioned to look like Elysium(The one that's full of life). Every time any of them messed around too much out of getting bored from staying there for literally 1000 years, an annihilation event would occur. Also the Nopon archsage of Aionios managed to find Shulk and Rex, probably scam them, and most definitely kidnapped them out while A facepalms. "Phenomenal..."

      No.. A is clearly female. Ontos represents both the male and female of the species. Alvis is the male version while A (the persona) is represented as the female. Developers have stated this btw, so it’s not just head cannon.

    People keep saying Future Redeemed is the perfect conclusion to the Klause saga. I disagree. So much impact was wasted in their refusal to just simply state all of this. It was told in some a convoluted pretentious way.
    Why not just say hey we are assuming the roles of Pneuma logos & ontos we shall meet again we’re not dying.

      I definitely get that. I was also a bit frustrated that they didn’t just say things we wanted them too. And while they did make a lot of things a bit too ambiguous in FR I do think there is some magic in implying certain aspects of the story or even leaving it up to interpretation and theorizing. Not saying you’re wrong because your opinion is very valid and I would’ve also preferred a bit more to be outright stated just not all of it. I enjoy the fun of theorizing. Thanks for the comment!
