Lol my exact thoughts. The lemonade 100% decided the match. Had it not been in the game Wetzel's would've won. Tbh I've never tried either, but Wetzels won imo.
They even went against their stated ranking of 1-5 on the lemonade. Had they only counted that as 2/5 instead of 4/10 Wetzels would have won by 2 points.
Even with the score for that round capped at 10 max, the WP Lemonade was just too mediocre I suppose. Wetzel's won overall on the pretzels, but they better step up their drink game I guess haha.

I'm actually kind of upset you guys didn't try the dipping sauces because, auntie Anne's dipping sauces are way better than Wetzel's pretzels dipping sauces and I stand by that. That's honestly the biggest difference between both.
auntie anne's pretzel dogs with the cheese melted on top, a cup of cinnamon sugar pretzel bites, and the frozen lemonade has been my family's go to at the mall for years

I love the cinnamon bites and lemonade. The highlight of going to the mall to me is getting the cinnamon bites if I can. I’ve only had auntie Anne’s a few times when I was younger so I don’t remember how it tastes. I think I would still prefer wetzels because of the doughiness tho too 🤤

I grew up with Auntie Anne's, everytime I went to the mall as a kid, got the pretzel sticks with the cheese dip. That's a great memory from my childhood, plus we don't have Wetzels were I live, so Anne's all the way!! ❤
Same here but my go to order growing up was the original pretzel with the caramel dipping cup 🤤... So good!

I get the auntie Anne's ALMOND PRETZEL the fresher the better. You can also get the sugar icing for dipping and for the cinnamon pretzel needs the icing dip as well

They're both good. Though I do like the more doughiness of Wetzel Pretzels vs Auntie Annes more crispy pretzel. Sure you could argue a pretzel should have a crispy outer skin but Idk I like the doughiness.

That was my main takeaway too haha. I suppose they are closer to movie theater and stadium food than it initially seemed. Cinnabon is really expensive as well.

As someone who works at auntie annes, pretzels have a shelf live of only 30 minutes and thats WHILE its staying warm. If you tried these fresh auntie annes would be the clear winner.

Wetzel’s looks like more of a doughnut than a pretzel, from the video at least. Ive never even heard of the place not sure if they are down south. Auntie Anne’s is the goat! Always gotta grab a pretzel from there when going to the mall. The aroma fills the whole mall
Only Wetzel's Pretzel's down south I know of are in Atlanta and Orlando, both of whichare hours from where I live. Luckily, I am in the NE a lot and there are "many" more uo here than down there. Yet all these areas have a lot of Latinx fx, which makes sense to me bc before I moved to the US, there were many WP's locations yet no Auntie Annie's.
I’m sure you didn’t because of wetzel not having bites (I think), but the Annie’s bites are much better than the regular pretzel versions. The cinnamon bites have so much sugar at the bottom, and the regular ones are even better

Auntie Ann's has the sourcream and onion pretzel and a roasted garlic parmesan pretzel too. They don't have those at Wetzels. They're super good.

From what I understand Anne's is closer to the authentic German pretzels where the outside is crunchy and Wetzel's is more softer so it depends on which you prefer.

I grew up with Wetzels since it’s at all of my malls BUT Auntie Anne’s reminds me of road trips since they’re more popular on highways.
Wetzel deff leans more towards the savory side while Anne’s dough is almost sweeter.
