I love elf brushes ! They are bomb. My favorite drug store concealer is maybelline! It doesn’t dry out my under eye. So I use the camo concealer for primer or I just won’t use a powder. Love how the eye look came out! 😍

I wore this foundation last weekend for my dance recitals that I danced in which means I was sweating alot bc of stage lights and also running the show backstage and it still looked great at the end of the night
Hi Kelly! I love that elf cream blush. I use a Real Techniques stippling brush, swirl/tap into the pot and stipple on the cheeks. The stippling motion doesn't disturb foundation underneath. In my experience, the brush you used was too densely packed to provide the right application. Even if you were to tap it in, I think it would still move your foundation around rather than depositing the blush properly. You can also use your fingers, but I find that I then seem to place the blush too low. It looks ok when smiling but when I relax my face...not so cute. I only started using cream blush this summer, so I'm no expert, but that's what helps me. It's a really good product. Don't give up on it!
Very pretty look. Need to try the primer and that shadow is very pretty. The elf sponge is my favorite and some of their brushes are good. Also the $2 brow pencil is great, especially for the price!
That blush is really only a go to of mine for no makeup makeup days 🤷🏻♀️ so I would still recommend trying it that way. Love how this green eye look turned out though! 🖤
I have the blush and enjoy it. I apply it with my fingers with a gentle patting motion. It isn't a long lasting blush and may require retouching. I have the mineral mascara and I also enjoy that one too. It's a lighter formula and washes off easily. It's just now starting to get a little clumpy but it's reached its 3 month mark for sure. It won't give you insane lashes, more of a minimal makeup day mascara. And lastly, I have the concealer and it's WAY too light and very drying in my under eyes. When I do use it, it's as an eyeshadow base. Love your eye look Kelly.❤

Elf maraca from dollar tree is actually pretty amazing given the price, a dollar. When you wash it off it comes off so easily and doesn't smudge throughout the day. Best dollar item I ever tried.
I love that eye look on you and the zooming in and out on the editing was a nice touch. Fav elf product of mine? Probably their lip exfoliator and the small tapered brush. I use those items allllllllll the time.

I'm one of the gals that told you I love the blush. I have the soft rose shade but I very rarely wear foundation, and never anything above just light coverage. I do spot conceal though (Maybelline Age Rewind) and have never had any issues with the blush picking it up. Hope it works out for you once you play around with it, if nothing other than so that you don't feel that is $ lost. That's always a crummy feeling. Happy holidays and thanks for the upload! fave elf products are the primer infused bronzer and blushes, also the halo illuminating setting powder and the matte blotting powder for my oily areas, i like their wow brow gel as well but fell like i went through that really quickly
And if you like a moisturizing concealer you would like the maybelline age rewind. I'm really happy you mentioned that the elf concealer is drying cuz that turns me off instantly and I dont feel as much like I wanna try it. It's just really hyped I feel
The cream blush works best with a sponge. But you have to load it on. I thought mine was just dry but I think it’s just a drier formula. But it works fine with a sponge 😊

Elf often has 50% off sales on non-new products so $3 for the foundation is much more worth it! Also, they came out with a less dry concealer the same time they made that one and it's much better formula! I can't find it light enough (the matte concealer came in a few more light shades). I have never tried the Flawless Finish Foundation, but I have used the Flawless Finish Concealer and liked it. Oh, and I totally agree with you about the Camo Concealer: I have oily skin and it was still too dry even for me! I ended up decluttering the two I had purchased.
I really like the concealer, but I only use one small dot on each eye and it covers all. Maybe everyone that hates it could try using just a small amount to see if that works for you? I also moisturize my under eye first, which I do for any concealer.

It has a lot of alcohol in it an burned my dry skin . The others I tried i liked *** . The camo concealer was too dry on my undereyes too . I have heard good things about their other new concealer. I think its the flawless concealer. I want to try that next.
I haven't tried a ton of elf but want to. I have the primer powder which is nice. The foundation is only good for 6 months..dang that's a short shelf life. That green eye look is so pretty.

Agree with you 100% about ELF mascara. There are ELF products I think are only ok, others good and some outstanding. The only bad product I can think of is the mascara. I would pass every time.

It's so funny that everyone's dirfferent. The Milani Concealer is too moisturizing for me so I only use it for blemishes or my entire face except my undereyes. Maybe you should try the becca undereye corrector and then use the elf concealer on top, so it's less drying. I love your videos, Kelly!
I find pressing the powerless putty primer makes it work much better. I’m dry so I’ll put on a more hydrating, luminous primer on and then press the putty primer into the skin focussing on my t-zone. At first I wasn’t seeing it doing anything put after a few tries I’ve felt much better about how it works
If the mask was direct diy, there’s some tricks to remove it. Soaking in a HOT bath can help open the hair cuticle. Also very clarifying shampoos, like cheap drug store shampoo or head and shoulders. Those aren’t CF, but lush has very good clarifying shampoos.
Elf has a really good mascara called the keep your curl mascara. I struggled to find a CF+V mascara to dupe rollerlash from benefit, and that one was perfect.
Honestly that concealer is probably the only thing from ELF I've ever tried I did not like. I'm gonna finish it, but it's so dry as you said. Ride or dies are the brow gel, the hydrating primer lotion, and the small setting sprays in the black bottles.
I hated the camo concealer! I bought and used it once and my undereyes looked so dry and crepey and wrinkly I gave it away straight away. I also used to have that cream blush and wasn't a huge fan of it, it felt a bit greasy in the pot but did go powdery on the face but I just felt I got far better results with my glossier cloud paint and ended up decluttering that too! I do find elf very hit and miss. My fave elf products I have tried are the best friend eyeshadow duo (the brown and gold one) and their powder blurring brush - that brush works like a dream with the Bareminerals loose powder foundation!
I tried the Moroccan oil mask in pink and it washed out after like 2 washes lol. I’m a blonde too and have the brown one but now I’m afraid it’ll stain my hair😬 Also, I used to love that Elf foundation and now I wanna start using it again!
sadly the elf camo concealer kept creasing on me soooo badly. I switched to NYX HD photo wand (I think that’s what it’s called) and it’s soooo much better
Elf recently came out with some glitter shadows... I watched one trial of those earlier today by SeekingAlexandria and I'm wondering if the "dirty martini" or dirty olive shade would make a good liner for this green look. I love that palette, having chased down a stockboy to grab one at my local Target store, lol, and am looking forward to making some Spring looks with it as well since Pantone selected "Classic Blue" as their colour of the year for 2020. Kelly you need to make sure that the shampoo you are using to remove the color is one for deep cleansing. I will send you a list of ingredients that should have.
I wonder how often they say you have to wash your hair to get the color fully out. Like I wonder if it would come out faster for people who wash their hair everyday or swim often etc. I had a friend who temp. dyed her hair and when she went in the pool it faded so fast
This might be why your hair is hanging onto the brown. I was considering the masks, but it seems that blonde dye strips pigments and opens the hair cuticle, making it more porous and willing to hang onto later color depositing products (purple shampoos, glosses, etc.)
When i just the foundation for the first time I loved the finish, but then it started to wear off quite fast, so not really the best foundation in my opinion

Yes, the Camo concealer is way to dry for my undereyes. I use it as an eyeshadow primer or to do a cut crease. Plus, I think I got the wrong shade but found a way to make it work.
Jess Beness I don’t like it either. I got too light of shade and it’s too dry. I wanted to love it but nope. I’ve used it for eye primer but now the tube is super messy too. Oh well. Only $6 I guess 😏
Same here! Super pasty and dry, I wasn't enjoying it at all by itself so I started mixing it with my glossier stretch concealer that is super emollient and kinds dark for under my eyes, and it's working great!
I don't like the elf concealer. Yuck, way tondry and thick and cakey. I love the elf putty primer, the foundation is pretty. The cream blush, I love the bigger palettes. I own the 18 hit wonders and the earth and ocean. I love the elf brow pencil it my current go to. The baked highlights are ok. I used to not be a fan of a lot of elf products but lately there's more hits for me than misses.

Good choice about skipping the mascara. I ended up throwing it out. It was so sticky on my eyelashes and it would smudge since it never dried down.
I like that Elf cream blush but I think it works better on bare skin, it does pick up foundation a little!

I would suggest using Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo to help remove the color. I would only use it about every other wash though.

Camo is too dry on me too. I mixed it with Bye Bye Undereye today and it looked good and I didn't have to set it.

Try using a cheap clarifying shampoo like suave. Should help strip the color a bit.

This might be why your hair is hanging onto the brown. I was considering the masks, but it seems that blonde dye strips pigments and opens the hair cuticle, making it more porous and willing to hang onto later color depositing products (purple shampoos, glosses, etc.)

When i just the foundation for the first time I loved the finish, but then it started to wear off quite fast, so not really the best foundation in my opinion

I thought I was one of the only ones who didn’t like the concealer. It smells like straight up pain and it makes my under eyes so dry. Everyone else seems to love it, I really wanted to because of the price but it’s just not for me.
Jess Beness are you talking about the camo concealer? It did the same for me so I use it for a primer instead.
Yes, the Camo concealer is way to dry for my undereyes. I use it as an eyeshadow primer or to do a cut crease. Plus, I think I got the wrong shade but found a way to make it work.

Jess Beness I don’t like it either. I got too light of shade and it’s too dry. I wanted to love it but nope. I’ve used it for eye primer but now the tube is super messy too. Oh well. Only $6 I guess 😏
Same here! Super pasty and dry, I wasn't enjoying it at all by itself so I started mixing it with my glossier stretch concealer that is super emollient and kinds dark for under my eyes, and it's working great!

I don't like the elf concealer. Yuck, way tondry and thick and cakey. I love the elf putty primer, the foundation is pretty. The cream blush, I love the bigger palettes. I own the 18 hit wonders and the earth and ocean. I love the elf brow pencil it my current go to. The baked highlights are ok. I used to not be a fan of a lot of elf products but lately there's more hits for me than misses.
