Ray Purchase - Toast of Tinseltown 0008a, 15.7.23 if ray's in town then the wife's either run off with the carpet salesman ie: a lesbian or she's locked herself in the coal shed ie: she's having a bad trip... but akin to toast i aint married... so no worries there.
This was horrible, the camera shots, the censorship of the C word, the entire show made it so dramatic in its camera shots and angles, nothing like the channel 4 version which was relaxed and a bit more retaliated in its shots when using the camera (less cinematic)

God the remake was god awful, I was genuinely excited to see toast of London back but the BBC disappointed us, the camera shots are terrible, and it really made it feel like I was watching The Inbetweeners USA, because of the cameras and the way it was shot, really cinematic and the lighting was too good which is far different from what Channel 4 did and that’s what made Channel 4 better when they had toast of London

The whole tinseltown series was just weird and unfunny. Didn't work at all.

What was wrong? I sensed a drop in the punch of the character. Felt quite flat.
The Tinseltown variant was pale and weak compared the original series. At least Matt Berry is still delivering the goods in Shadows!

Hollywood doesnt know how to write good stuff - ruined a series by making it in "Tinseltown". Toast of London is great - this not so much
It had some positive bits but it was on the whole distinctly mediocre.
